This study is to investigate the characteristics of products on mixing ratio of raw materials for scoria tile manufacturing. The water absoprtion of scoria tile decreased as scoria particle size decreased and a ratio of scoria/sand increased. And also thee water absoprtion of tile decreased as an amount of cement decreased. Smaller scoria particle size, smaller ratio of scoria and sand, and larger amount of cement enhanced strength and thermal conductivity of scoria tile. The surface pattern of scoria tile became various figures as a ratio of scoria and sand increased. Well mixing of large and small particles made surface pattern of tile diverse.
NTSC/PAL/SECAM 표준을 만족하는 Variable-clock Video Encoder의 내부 필터 설계

In this paper, we present the design of the filters for variable-clock video encoder in CCTV system The SONY corporation preoccupies 80% of the CCD market in CCTV application. But, SONY corporation's CCD module used in CCTV requires particular clock frequency. Generally, a video encoder is operated 27MHz sampling frequency. That is clock frequency of video encoder different with CCD's clock frequency. If we used a filter of general video encoder, filter's characteristics are changed and don't be satisfied with standard. So, we design the filters that satisfied with TV broadcasting standards without regard to clock frequency. The proposed filters are simulated by using the MATLAB. This paper also proposes the variable-clock encoder that can be activated at the clock equal to the CCD clock without the scaler and the PLL.

재래종 찰옥수수 F₁ 교잡종에 대한 생육 및 수량비교를 위해 충남대학교 농과대학 실험포장에서 육성한 이들 교잡종의 식물학적 특성에 대한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 간장은 대조구에 비해 대학찰×재래찰, FR805/1K₃×고령찰이 가장 크게 나타났으나, FR805/1K₃×대학찰, 찰옥 1호에서 대조구와 비슷하게 나타내었다. 2. 착수수는 간장에서와 마찬가지로 대학찰×재래찰, FR805/1K₃×고령찰이 대조구보다 높게 나타났으나 대학찰×재래찰, 찰옥 1호는 비슷하였다. 3. 분얼수는 각 교잡종들간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 4. 이삭의 길이는 대조구에 비해 교잡종들이 거의 2배이상의 크기를 나타내었다. 5. 이삭직경은 FR805/1K₃× 고령찰의 교잡종을 제외하고 대조구와 비슷하게 나타났다. 6. 이삭열수는 Daehakchal×1K₁/LE만이 대조구와 유의성을 나타내고 기타 교잡종은 대조구와 비슷하였다. In order to evaluate the characteristics of growth and yield in F_(1) waxy hybrids using Korean local maize lines, six hybrids including check, Chalok # 1, were planted at the experinental field of e Chungnam National University. Stem and ear heights of Yeonnong × Jaerae and FR805/IK_(3) × Koryong hybrids were higher than the check hybrid. Number of fillers per plant in all hybrids were similar as 0.3 to 0.5 per plant Ear length of waxy hybrids was longer than 15㎝ of check hybrid and ear diameter was also thicker than check except FR805/IK_(3) × Koryong waxy hybrid. A final result, Yeonnong × Jaerae among hybrids was comparatively superior to other hybrids in the test.
Run-Length Coding과 Huffman Coding을 이용한 영상 압축기의 하드웨어 설계

In this paper, we modify Run-Length Coding(RLC) and Huffman Coding(HC) algorithm for use of image compression and design as a hardwired architecture. The algorithm of RLC and HC compresses different area of Multi-Resolution Analysis(MRA) that is represented by Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT)[1-2]. RLC compressor and decompressor is simple so that is designed like a data-path flow. HC compressor's scheme is composed of 2 stage, the first one is generation of Huffman Tree. That needs many computations and times so that uses internal memory MACRO. The second one is making binary data using Huffman Tree. The decompressor of HC is also designed simply like that of RLC decompressor's data-path flow using Huffman Tree.

Background: Eosinophilia is associated with various primary and reactive conditions. The incidence and causes of eosinophilia might have changed through time according to the changes in the incidence of diseases such as cancer, chronic degenerative diseases, and so forth. This study was sought to investigate the causes and the incidence of hypereosinophilia and compare the results with those obtained by other reports in Korea. Methods: Eosinophilia and hypereosinophilia are diagnosed when the absolute eosinophil count is greater than 500/μL and 1,500/μL, respectively. Patient's clinical records were reviewed to determine the underlying clinical conditions in relation to what causes hypereosinophilia. Results: Out of 18,941 patients who undertook hematology profiles, 1,584 (8.4%) and 143 (0.75%) were found to have eosinophilia and hypereosinophilia, respectively. Among patients with hypereosinophilia, 106 patients (74.1%) had identifiable and/or possible causes. The major causes of hypereosinophilia were malignancy (48.1%), allergy and skin diseases (22.6%), infectious diseases (9.4%), gastrointestinal tract diseases (5.7%), and hepatobiliary diseases (4.7%). Conclusion: We found various causes of hypereosinophilia in this study, and the most common cause of hypereosinophilia was malignancy. Therefore, a thorough study in patients with hypereosinophilia is necessary.

In this paper, we propose a modified design method of multiple standards video encoder which is supporting the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC), Phase-Alternate Line (PAL) and Sequentiel Couleur Avec Memoire (SECAM) broadcasting standards. The proposed encoder can make various broadcasting standard signals, such as NTSC, PAL and SECAM by using the appropriate sub-carrier and bandwidth. Also, in order to separate broadcasting signal into the luminance signal and chrominance signal, the proposed video encoder has Discrete Time Oscillator (DTO) and Low Pass Filter (LPF). So the signal processes with same function can be shared. According to the above state, we expect that the proposed video encoder could increase the hardware efficiency by using the improved method. Moreover, the proposed encoder uses a modified anti-cloche filter and SECAM data flow for applying the SECAM encoding algorithm to digital processing system. So, the proposed encoder can support the NTSC, PAL and SECAM which are using QAM modulation and FM modulation, respectively.

Biliary ascariasis results not only in biliary tract disease, but also in secondary stone formation, hemorrhage into biliaty tract, acute cholecystitis, biliary perforation, invasion to pancreatic duct, pancreatitis, he%atitis, and liver abscess. In recent, we experienced a case of biliary ascariasis with concomitant biliary stones, which was identified by ultrasonogram percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography, and computed tomography, thereby reporting it herein with a review of literatures.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a receiver operating between a rotary machine encoder and DSP. The receiver connects with the encoder using 1 bit serial data and DSP using 16 bits bus line. The receiver and encoder use the different operating frequency each other. We suggest a new apparatus and method of synchronized code for header detection in 1bit serial communication. The system operating frequency can be changed into 20MHz or 60MHz by using the external port such as 'clk_select'.
유연성을 갖는 분산 해쉬 테이블 기반의 피어 투 피어 인터넷 텔레포니 서비스의 구현

Internet telephony provides voice communication services with added flexibility for multimedia extension at a lower cost compared to traditional telephone systems. We implemented an internet telephony system as an overlay network without a centralized server, using a distributed hash table (DHT). Compared to the current server-based internet telephony system, our system is fault-tolerant, scalable, and can be flexible extended to various services and advanced to integrated service. To demonstrate the high flexibility of our DHT-based internet telephony system, we made our system cooperate with web servers. Web users can check up others online states and establish voice communication sessions to online users at a mouse click. This technology can be tipplied to more complex services such as multimedia messaging or video conference service.
