Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between disruptive factors and customer satisfaction at chain stores. Survey-based questionnaires were designed in the distribution technique to measure the findings in this study. Research design, data, and methodology: In terms of the sampling technique, the researchers adopted the simple random sampling technique with a total of 200 sample sizes. For the statistical method, the researchers applied multiple linear regression analysis to determine the potential factors that affect customer satisfaction at chain stores. The analysis of this study measured how product quality, pricing policies of chain stores, design and layout, responsiveness, and location of chain stores impart their roles in customer satisfaction. Results: This study found a significant relationship between the product quality and location of chain stores on customer satisfaction. In addition, the responsiveness, pricing policy, and physical design of chain stores impart an insignificant role in customer satisfaction. However, it is proven that the location of chain stores and product quality positively impact customer satisfaction. Conclusions: The study is geographically limited to the region of Karachi, Pakistan. Therefore, the findings may differ in the context of study implications in the other areas.

ObjectiveThe male reproductive system generates, accumulates, and transports the sperm. In this study, 2 methods of surgicallyretrieving sperm, namely, testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) and percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA), arediscussed and studied in men aged ≤38 years to achieve successful conception using assisted reproductive technology. The purpose was to assess the fertilization rate (FA), clinical pregnancy, and live birth rate (LBR) with sperm. MethodsA total of 287 semen samples were divided into 4 groups as follows: fresh PESA (n=73), frozen PESA (n=65), fresh TESA(n=128), and frozen TESA (n=21). The DNA fragmentation test using sperm chromatin dispersion assay was measuredand reported. ResultsFA was 70.3% and 65.5%, (P<0.022) for fresh and frozen epididymal sperm and 53.8% and 49.5%, (P<0.032) for freshand frozen testicular sperm. LBR was 33.6% and 30.2% (P<0.075) for fresh and frozen epididymal sperm (PESA) and22.7% and 18.2% (P<0.063) for fresh and frozen-thawed TESA sperm. ConclusionExposure to tissue shearing may adversely affect sperm quality. Increased sperm DNA damage due to long-termexposure while teasing enhances reactive oxygen species production foremost to membrane damage because ofthe oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acid in lipids (lipid peroxidation), oxidation of amino acid in proteins, andinactivation of specific enzymes, all leading to enzymatic dipping and possibility of less fertilization and conception asindicated by the increase in LBR with fresh/frozen PESA compared to with fresh/frozen TESA.
Towards a Scalable SDN Hypervisors Framework

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a new emerging networking paradigm that has adopted a logically centralized architecture to increase overall network performance agility and programmability. Combining network virtualization with SDN will guarantees for combined advantages of improved flexibility and network performance. Combining SDN with hypervisors divides the network physical resources into several logical transparent and isolated virtual SDN network (vSDN), where each has its virtual controller. However, SDN hypervisors bring several advantages as well as several challenges to its network operators as for the virtual appliances, their efficient placement, assurance of network performance is mandatory, and their dynamic instantiation with their migration. In this article, we provide a brief and concise review of network virtualization along with its implementation in the SDN network. SDN hypervisors types are discussed, and taxonomy is provided to demonstrate the importance of hypervisors in SDN. A comparison of SDN hypervisors is performed to elaborate on the vital hypervisor software along with their features, and different challenges are discussed faced by the SDN network. A framework is proposed to add combined functionalities of hypervisors to create a more effective and efficient virtual system. The purpose of the framework is to increase network performance through proper configuration of resources, software, control plane isolation functions with defined rules and policies.
Design and Analysis of RF MEMS Cantilever Switches for Parameter Enhancement

This paper investigates some of the disadvantages of Radio Frequency Micro Electro Mechanical System (RF MEMS)switches, such as high actuation voltage and high switching time. RF MEMS switches are among the most widely usedtechnologies since the past two decades owing to their abundant advantages such as low insertion loss, high isolation loss,low power consumption, and very high Q. In this paper, we focus on reducing the high actuation voltage and high switchingtime; a novel design of an RF MEMS metal contact switch was proposed and designed using the software Intellisuite 8.7v,and simulations were performed by fi nite element modeling. Analysis was carried out by the electrostatic actuation method. The actuation voltage depends on the spring constant, area of the actuation electrode, and air gap. From the simulation, weobtained a very low actuation voltage (1.2 V) and low switching time (approximately 7.98 μs).
Design of a Prediction based MAC Scheme for Wireless Body Area Networks

To provide the effective monitoring in health care field, the access of communication medium to transmitting nodes should be according to the medical conditions of patients. For more reliable and efficient use of WBANs the medium access needs to be assigned to data transmissions before the occurrence of emergency conditions, so that timely treatments can be triggered for medically critical patients. The existing MAC schemes are able to prioritize the emergency data for transmissions but, after the occurrence of emergency events and the prioritization process of data transmissions itself incurs delay. The delays in transmissions of medically critical patient’s data can be disastrous. Even the conventional MAC schemes of IEEE 802.15.4 and 802.15.6 protocols are not able to transmit the medical data with dynamic and predicted priorities. This research study focused on the prioritization of the data transmissions of the patients based on the predicted conditions of patients in dynamic manner. Therefore, the data of patients is analyzed to predict the emergency events and then prioritized to transmit the data of critical patients to medical concerns in time. The design of proposed MAC scheme is based on Time Division Multiple Access which makes it a congestion free MAC scheme. The proposed scheme is tested in simulation environment. The results showed that the presented MAC scheme predicted the patient’s condition with approximately 87% of accuracy and prioritized the data streams accordingly in dynamic manners. The proposed scheme efficiently prioritized the patient’s data transmissions when tested on one type of dataset and some factors are assumed ideal or null too.

Chebulinic acid (CA) is an ellagitannins isolated from the dried fruits of Terminalia chebula with diverse pharmacological activities. The present study focused on the acute toxicity of CA in normal Sprague Dawley (SD) rats. CA was administered via oral gavage to different groups in 300 and 2000 mg/kg body weight and vehicle respectively. All the animals were monitored carefully for any physiological or behavioral changes for 14 days. On day 15th animals were euthanized and blood was collected for hematological and biochemical analysis. Different tissues were collected for histopathological study using four different staining techniques (hematoxylin and eosin, Masson’s trichrome, periodic acid Schiff and picro sirius red) to observe any pathological alterations. The results highlighted no morbidity and mortality after oral ingestion of CA (300 and 2000 mg/kg). Food and water consumption, body weight, relative organ weight, hematological and biochemical parameters were normal without any gross pathological lesions in harvested tissues. The outcome of the current study supported safety of CA even at high dose. However, further detailed study is required on experimentally disease model to unfold its therapeutic potential in laboratory animals.
