The purpose of this study is to research and understand school life adaptation and happiness of ’A’ male middle school students in Changwon. In summary, firstly, the higher their grade was, the better they adapted to school. Especially among the subfactors of school life adaptation, good feelings and affinity for school teachers were higher among students in the 3rd grade than in the 1st grade. Secondly, 3rd graders' happiness was higher than 1st graders' happiness. Thirdly, the better students adapted to school life, the happier they were. Lastly, the result of this study could explain happiness of students in order of school life, school friends and school teachers among the subfactors of school life adaptation, while an academic factor couldn't explain happiness of students.

The use of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) is rapidly increasing with digitalization and electrification. For carbon neutrality and circular economy, many countries are interested in plastic and increasing attention is paid to recycling plastic comprised approximately 2-30% of EEE. Small EEE, compared to large appliances (e.g. refrigerator, washing machine, TV, air conditioner, vending machine), are frequently and easily thrown away because they are replaced with new products for reasons such as changed design and upgraded performance. Recycling of small waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) plastics is a solution that can reduce the amount of waste treated by incineration and landfill. To realize a circular economy and carbon neutrality, it is necessary to improve factors that impede recycling, such as plastic waste treatment in the informal sector and manage hazardous substances in plastics for safety. In this study, firstly, Material flow analysis (MFA) was conducted using national statistical data and field survey results to evaluate the entire process of small WEEE plastics to identify factors that hinder the utilization of plastic waste as a recycled resources at each stage of the life cycle, and propose improvement measures to respond for global plastic management policy Also, to assessment the recycling safety of the WEEE plastics for reuse, the contents of following substances were analyzed: regulatory substances (e.g. heavy metals, brominated flame retardants and phthalates) managed under Restriction of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) and Korea’s Act on Resource Circulation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles as well as unregulated substances. The conclusions are drawn concerning the future strategic development in relation to small WEEE plastics management.
ETLi: Efficiently annotated traffic LiDAR dataset using incremental and suggestive annotation

Autonomous driving requires a computerized perception of the environment for safety and machine-learning evaluation. Recognizing semantic information is difficult, as the objective is to instantly recognize and distinguish items in the environment. Training a model with real-time semantic capability and high reliability requires extensive and specialized datasets. However, generalized datasets are unavailable and are typically difficult to construct for specific tasks. Hence, a light detection and ranging semantic dataset suitable for semantic simultaneous localization and mapping and specialized for autonomous driving is proposed. This dataset is provided in a form that can be easily used by users familiar with existing two-dimensional image datasets, and it contains various weather and light conditions collected from a complex and diverse practical setting. An incremental and suggestive annotation routine is proposed to improve annotation efficiency. A model is trained to simultaneously predict segmentation labels and suggest class-representative frames. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm yields a more efficient dataset than uniformly sampled datasets.

The purpose of variable selection techniques is to select a subset of relevant variables for a particular learning algorithm in order to improve the accuracy of prediction model and improve the efficiency of the model. We conduct an empirical analysis to evaluate and compare seven well-known variable selection techniques for multiple linear regression model, which is one of the most commonly used regression model in practice. The variable selection techniques we apply are forward selection, backward elimination, stepwise selection, genetic algorithm (GA), ridge regression, lasso (Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator) and elastic net. Based on the experiment with 49 regression data sets, it is found that GA resulted in the lowest error rates while lasso most significantly reduces the number of variables. In terms of computational efficiency, forward/backward elimination and lasso requires less time than the other techniques.

최근 플라스틱의 무분별한 사용과 폐플라스틱의 부적정 관리로 인한 환경문제가 세계적 현안으로 대두되어 플라스틱 포장재 및 일회용 플라스틱 제품 등의 사용을 줄여나가고 있다. 우리나라도 2018년 5월에 「재활용 폐기물 종합관리 대책」 수립하여 2030년까지 폐플라스틱 발생량을 50 %로 감소시키고 재활용률 70% 상향을 목표로 정책을 마련하였다. 국내 사업장 일반폐기물로 배출되는 폐플라스틱은 2018년 기준으로 총 폐플라스틱 발생량의 53%로 생활계 폐플라스틱 배출량(39%)을 상회하였지만, 사업장 폐플라스틱에 대한 관심과 연구는 PET병, 일회용품 등 생활계 폐플라스틱에 비해 부족하다. 또한 사업장 폐플라스틱은 PP, PS 등 재질 구분 없이 대부분 폐합성수지류(51-03-01)로 혼합 배출되어 순환자원 확보를 위한 관리 방법 개선이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구는 순환경제의 실현과 재활용 폐기물 종합관리 대책의 실효성 진단을 위해 국내 사업장 일반폐기물로 배출되는 폐합성고분자화합물(51-03)의 전과정 평가를 수행하고자 하였다. 먼저 폐플라스틱 재활용 제품의 안전성 평가를 위해 국내 사업장 폐플라스틱 배출시설에서 발생한 폐플라스틱을 대상으로 중금속 및 플라스틱 첨가제 등의 유해물질 함유실태를 조사하였다. 또한, 원료에서 최종 처분단계까지의 플라스틱 물질흐름도를 작성하여 순환단계별 문제점을 파악하고 이에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
The acquisition of stem-like characteristics and EMT by TGF-β in lung cancer

TGF-β promotes tumor invasion and metastasis by inducing an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). EMT is often associated with acquisition of stem-like characteristics. In this study, we investigated whether EMT induced by TGF-β could acquire stem-like characteristics in lung cancer. Human normal epithelial (BEAS-2B) and cancer (A549, H292, H226 and H460) cell lines were used in this study. These cell lines were incubated with 10 ng/ml of TGF-β for 3 days. Western blot was performed to analyze the expression of epithelial marker (E-cadherin) and mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin, vimentin, fibronectin and α-SMA). RT-PCR was performed to analyze the expression of variable stem cell markers (CD44, CD133, CXCR4, ABCG2, CD117, ALDH1A1, EpCAM, CD90, Oct4, Nanog, SOX2, SSEA4, and CD166). Wound-healing assay, Matrigel invasion assay and sphere formation assay were used to assess functional characteristics of EMT and stemness acquisition. TGF-β induced EMT and stem cell markers with variable degrees according to lung cell lines. These stem cell markers were increased by treatment with TGF-β except H460 cell line. Invasion and sphere formation were increased according to the expression of stem cell markers. TGF-β induced EMT was associated with acquisition of stem-like characteristics which was different according to lung cancer cell lines. Further studies are needed to investigate the signal mechanism of EMT and stemness acquisition. 쿼드 틸트 로터 UAM 실시간 비행 시뮬레이션을 위한 비행역학 수학적 모델링

본 논문은 Generic 쿼드 틸트 로터 UAM 항공기 비행 동력학 기반 비선형 수학적 모델링 및 실시간 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 개발에 관한 연구 결과를 기술한다. 본 연구에서는 NASA의 UAM 임무 형상 및 요구도를 참고하여 Generic 쿼트 틸트 로터 eVTOL UAM 항공기 형상을 설계하고, 공력 데이터베이스 기반 공기역학, 추력 데이터베이스 기반 프롭로터역학, 항공기의 지면반력, 대기환경을 운동모델로 모델링하였다. 또한 회전익 모드, 천이 모드 및 고정익 모드 별 조종방법을 정의, 나셀 틸트각 Corridor 설정 후 실시간 비행 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어에 구현 후 수평비행 트림 해석을 수행하였다. 본 실시간 비행 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어를 통해 쿼드 틸트 로터 UAM 항공기의 트림 해석뿐 아니라 조종성(Handling Qualities) 예측, 동특성을 고려한 나셀 틸트각 스케줄러 최적화와 회전익, 고정익 및 천이 모드 별 비행 제어법칙 설계/검증 및 비행 시뮬레이터 탑재를 통한 비행 훈련 등 쿼트 틸트 로터 UAM 분야에서 다양한 목적으로 활용 가능할 것으로 예상한다. This paper describes the results of a study on Generic Quad Tilt Rotor UAM aircraft, focusing on nonlinear mathematical modeling and the development of real-time simulation software. In this research, we designed a configuration for a Generic Quad Tilt Rotor eVTOL UAM aircraft based on NASAs UAM mission requirements. We modeled the aerodynamics using a database, the prop-rotor dynamics with a thrust database, and included a ground reaction and atmospheric model in the flight model. We defined the control concept for various modes(helicopter mode, transition mode, and airplane mode), derived tilt angle corridors, and formulated flight control requirements. The resultant real-time flight simulation software not only performs trim analysis for Tilt Rotor UAM aircraft but also predicts handling qualities, optimizes tilt angle scheduling based on dynamic characteristics, designs and validates flight control laws for helicopter, transition, and airplane modes, and facilitates flight training through simulator integration.
