The influence of lead exposure on renal function was studied. Eighty nine lead exposed workers who worked in 2 storage battery factories, and seventy one control workers were chosen for this study. Blood lead(PbB) and zinc protoporphyrin in whole blood(ZPP) were selected as indicators of lead exposure. As indicators of renal function, urinary N-acetyl-$\beta$-D-glucosaminidase(NAG), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), serum creatinine(S-Cr), total protein in urine(U-TP),and serum uric acid(S-Ua) were selected. The results obtained were as follows: 1. While the mean values of lead exposure indicators of lead workers were significantly different from non-exposed ones, the mean values of NAG, U-TP, BUN and S-Cr of renal function indicators of exposed were also significantly different from non-exposed but their mean values were all within normal limits. 2. BUN, logarithmic U-TP, logarithmic NAG and S-Cr showed statistically significant correlation with PbB. 3. The proportion of workers whose values of renal function indicators were over the normal limits(NAG7.5 U/g Cr ; U-TP10.9 mg/dl ; BUN20 mg/dl ; S-Crl.2 mg/dl ; S-Ua7.0 mg/dl) by the level of lead absorption in terms of PbB and ZPP were calculated. The proportion of workers with over the normal limits of U-TP among total workers showed the dose-response relationship. When age is adjusted, U-TP showed significantly strong dose-response relationship with the level of PbB and ZPP.
H.263 기반 인터넷용 적응적 동영상 전송 시스템에 관한 연구

Under the worldwide booming internet environment, there has been increasing demand for various multimedia services. Especially the demand for effective video services has been rapidly increased. In this paper, we propose an study of an adaptive video transmission system for internet use based on H.263 video compression technique and RTP/RTCP protocol on the TCP/IP environment with the variable bandwidth. To efficiently adapt to the network and decoding status, the decoding status information adds to the network status information and send back to the server. In addition, by using the plug-in-play technique, the implemented system improved user interface for easy usage.
자기해석의 관점에서 소비자 불평 의도와 행동에 대한 이해

To date studies were lacked how patterns of customer complaint behaviors may be different according to cultural orientation to influence thought, feeling, and behavior much. Therefore, the present study explored how cultures influences the pattern in consumers' complaints behaviors and intentions in the situation of the unsatisfactory consumption by comparing the types of complaint behaviors of individuals with independent self and interdependent self. Results were that consumers with independent self-construal were more likely to engage in public-net and termination of relationship behaviors to express their negative experience than those with interdependent self-construal. On the contrary, there are no differences between two types of self-construal on voice, private, no-action and third-party behaviors. And of those who voiced dissatisfaction previously, consumers with interdependent self-construal maintained long-term transactional relationship compared to consumer with independent self-construal. In addition, When the similar dissatisfaction occurs again, consumers with independent self-construal who voiced dissatisfaction previously tended more likely to express private, public-net, termination of relationship and no-action intentions than those with interdependent self-construal who did. Implications of these findings and recommendations for additional consumer complaint behaviors research are discussed. 지금까지 사람들의 생각, 느낌, 행동에 많은 영향을 미치는 문화적 지향성에 따라 고객의 불평행동 패턴이 어떻게 달라질 것인지에 대한 연구가 부족했다. 따라서 본 연구는 개인의 문화적 지향성을 나타내 주는 자기해석에 따라 소비자의 불평 행동과 의도가 어떻게 달라질 것인지 파악하고자 하였다. 연구 결과를 보면, 불만을 경험했을 때, 의존적 자기해석 소비자보다 독립적 자기해석 소비자들은 실제적으로 인터넷을 통해 자신의 불만을 표현하거나 거래 관계를 종결하는 행위 비율이 높았다. 반면, 직접 토로, 사적 행동, 행위 없음 및 제3자 이용 행동에서는 자기해석의 유형에 따른 실제적 행동 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 또한 이미 불만을 기업에 직접 얘기한 사람 중 의존적 자기해석을 하는 소비자가 독립적 자기해석을 하는 소비자보다 더 장기적인 거래 관계를 유지하고 있다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 한편, 유사한 불만이 다시 발생하면, 이미 불만을 기업에 직접 토로한 독립적 자기해석 소비자는 사적 행동, 인터넷을 이용한 불만 표현, 관계 종결 및 행위 없음 등의 불평행동에서 불만을 기업에 직접 토한 의존적 자기해석 소비자보다 더 높은 행동의도를 가지고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 몇 가지 시사점에 대하여 논의하였다.
칡소와 비경흑색 한우의 Melanocortin Receptor 1(MC1R) 유전자형 분석

칡소와 비경흑색 한우의 MC1R 유전자의 유전자형를 조사하고 칡소의 모색 발현과 한우비경색과의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 MC1R 유전자의 PCR-RFLP 분석을 수행하였다. 소에서 나타나는 6가지 유전자형(E^D/E^D, E^D/E^+, E^D/e, E^+/E^+, E^+/e와 e/e) 중 칡소에서는 단지 2개의 유전자형 E^+/E^+, E^+/e 만이 출현하였고, e/e 유전자형을 가지는 개체는 전혀 출현하지 않아 제주재래흑우에서와 같이 흑색 호반모가 발현되기 위해서는 기본적으로 E^+ allele이 필요한 것으로 사료되었다. 비경흑색 한우와 비경황색 한우에서는 모두 E^+/e 혹은 e/e 유전자형이 출현하였고 E^+와 e allele의 빈도는 각각 0.37, 0.63과 0.11, 0.89였다. 비록 E^+ allele의 빈도가 비경흑색 한우에서 비경황색 한우에서 보다 높았지만, E^+ allele과 비경흑색과는 완전한 연관성은 없었다. 이러한 결과는 MCIR 유전자 분석이 칡소 뿐만 아니라 한우의 모색 고정에도 유용한 도구로 이용 가능함을 제시하고 있다. PCR-RFLP analysis was carried out to investigate the genotype of Melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R) gene in Korean Brindle Cattle and Korean Cattle with dark muzzle, which are coat color and muzzle pigmentation variants of Korean Cattle, respectively. Allelic variants of MC1R in cattle were analyzed by digestion with BsrFⅠ, AciⅠ. Among six genotypes, E^D/E^D, E^D/E^+, E^D/e, E^+/E^+, E^+/e and e/e, detected in cattle, only two genotypes, E^+/E^+ and E^+/e, were observed in Korean Brindle Cattle, probably reflecting the necessary of E^+ allele for the expression of black brindle coat color. As in Korean Cattle with light muzzle, the E^+/e and e/e genotypes were detected in Korean Cattle with dark muzzle. The E^+ and e alleles frequencies in two populations of Korean Cattle with dark muzzle and with light muzzle were 0.37, 0.63 and 0.11, 0.89, respectively. Although the frequency of E^+ allele in Korean Cattle with dark muzzle was higher than in Korean Cattle with light muzzle, the E^+ allele was not completely associated with dark muzzle pigmentation. The results of this experiment indicate that the difference of MC1R genotype and frequency may be useful for fixation of coat color in Korean Cattle as well as Korean Brindle Cattle.
