This paper proposes a new fault-tolerant technique for bitonic sorting networks which can be used for designing ATM switches based on Batcher-Banyan network. The main goal in this paper is to design a cost-effective fault-tolerant bitonic sorting network. In order to recover a fault, additional comparison elements and additional links are used. A Dynamic Redundant Bitonic Sorting (DRBS) network is based on the Dynamic Redundant network and can be constructed with several different variations. The proposed fault-tolerant sorting network offers high fault-tolerance; low time delays; maintenance of cell sequence; simple routing; and regularity and modularity.
ACSA : An Adaptive Content System Architecture

Adapting content services to the needs of the users requires content adaptation for context and sensibility. Adapting to context may necessitate distinguishing between video delivery to a PC versus a smart phone, while adapting to sensibility may necessitate between video delivery outside, in a quiet environment, or at home, or offering different movie choices on a sunny summer day, a cold winter day or a holiday season. One key area to address in providing adaptive content services is the design of the delivery system architecture of the adaptive content server. This paper describes several alternatives for this architecture, and outlines some additional concerns that must be considered when the chosen architecture is implemented.
효소적으로 증폭된 DNA의 염기배열법과 16S like 리보좀 유전자의 증폭 및 염기배열결정에의 응용

근년에 개발된 효소적인 DNA증폭법을 이용하면 일차구조상의 단편적인 정보만 알면 단 수시간내 해석에 필요한 양의 DNA가 증폭되어 cDNA의 염기배열결정의 신속화, 간편화가 가능하게 되었다. 그러므로 유전자증폭법으로써 PCR법에 관해 기술한다. 그리고 리보좀 RNA는 분자시계로서 생물의 계통을 논하는 데에 있어서는 최적의 조건을 갖춘 고분자화합물이다. 이에 PCR법을 이용한 16S like 리보좀DNA의 증폭법을 다루고, PCR증폭산물의 염기배열결정법에 대해 서술한다. 또한 인위적인 leading error 등을 배제하고 신속한 자동해독과 시간적인 절약이 자동 DNA sequencer의 개발과 시판으로 가능하게 되어 cDNA의 형광색소표식 염기배열결정법에 대해서도 서술한다.

Objectives : The differentiation of osteoblasts is controlled by various growth factors and matrix protein expressed in bone. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of many herbs medicine(KHBJs) for bone healing that induces osteogenic activity in human osteoblast-like SaOS-2 cells. Methods : The osteogenic effects of KHBJs were evaluated by using cell proliferation(WST-8) assay, alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity assay, colorimetric analysis of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) expression in human osteoblast like SaOS-2 cell. Also, osteogenic activity of KHBJ fractions(KHBJB and KHBJR) by activity guided fractionation were evaluated. Results : About 7 KHBJs had effect on the proliferation of osteoblast like SaOS-2 cells, and dose-de- pendently increased alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity. KHBJs markedly increased expression for VEGF. Frac- tionated KHBJs(KHBJB or KHBJR) not enhanced more than KHBJs on osteogenic activity in SaOS-2 cells. Conclusions : This study found that 7 KHBJs had effect on proliferation, ALP activity, and VEGF ex- pression in osteoblast like SaOS-2 cells. These results propose that KHBJs can play an important role in osteoblastic bone formation, and may possibly lead to the development of bone-forming drugs.
