발전용 터빈 로터는 대형의 고속회전체로 가혹한 운전 환경에서 장시간 운전됨에 따라 여러 취약부 위에서 다양한 형태의 결함 발생 가능성이 높다. 터빈 로터의 설계 및 제조 기술의 진보에 따라, 최종단 버켓의 크기와 길이가 증가하고 있으며, 버켓의 재질과 체결부 조립 구조의 변화를 동반했다. 곡률형 축방향 체결방식(Curved axial entry type)은 버켓과 휠의 접촉 면적이 커서 상대적으로 큰 하중에도 견딜 수 있도록 설계된 체결방식으로서, 본 연구는 곡률형 축방향 체결방식의 버켓과 휠 조립부에 대한 초음파 탐상기법 및탐상장치의 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 탐상기법과 검사시스템을 발전소의 터빈 로터 가동중 검사에 적용하여, 발전 설비 운영의 안전성과 신뢰성을 제고하고자 한다. The steam turbine used in power plants are large and high-speed rotating machinery that operate in a severe environment. The long-term operation and the operating environment lead to various types of defects. The advancement in the design and manufacturing technology improvement has resulted in an increase in the dimensions of last stage blade, using improved materials and types of blade root attachments. Turbine rotor wheels and buckets with curved axial-entry type attachment of the blade roots have been designed to withstand higher stresses compared to other types of root attachment owing to their extended contact regions. This paper presents the development of an ultrasonic defect detection method and instruments for curved axial-entry blade root attachment, which are applicable in turbine rotor in-service inspection to better assess the safety and reliability for power plant operations management.
원자력/화력발전소의 터빈제어밸브시스템의 신뢰성 향상에 관한 연구

Nuclear and thermal power plants must provide the turbines with an appropriate degree of high temperature and high pressure steam, to produce the optimum electricity. Additionally, in the event of system and power system failure during electrical production, the steam is immediately disabled, to protect the turbines and generators rotating at high speed. The plant thus uses a special steam control valve system for turbine control, which is opened by force of the hydraulic servo actuator and closed by a large steel spring force. In this study, the causes of failure of the turbine control valve system, a key device of the power plants, were analyzed, and the causes of failure were improved relative to reliability of the equipment.

To see whether there is any differencies in RNA dependent DNA polymerase activities between monoclonal antibody-producing hydridoma cells and non-producing hybridoma cells, Balb/c female mice were immunized with the purified viral surface protein of D-variant of encephalomyocarditis virus and then fused with myeloma cells (NR-1). After cloring, monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma cell lines were separated from non-producing hydridoma cell lines. RNA-dependent DNA polymerase activities were measured in the supernatant of monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma clones and non-producing hybr idoma clones, and myeloma cells as control, Monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma cells showed statistically significant higher activity as compar compare to that of nonproducing hybridoma cells. To find whether RNA-dependent DNA polymerase releasing cells aware secreting or budding C-type virus particles, those cells were examined with electron microscope. The hybridoma cell which secrete large amount of RNA-dependent DNA polymerase shows significant number of extracellular C-type virus particles. In constrast, non-producing hydridoma cells contains a lot of intracellular C-type virus particles. It is concluded that monoclonal antibody-producing hydridoma cells released particles. It is concluded that monoclonal antibody-producing hydridoma cells released significant amount of RNA-dependent DNA polymerase land extracellular C-type virus particles, while non-producing hydridoma cells showed less release of RNA-dependent DNA polymerase and contains intracellular C-type virus particles.

A case of 22 years old female panhypopituitarism due to tuberculous meningitis was observed at Chungnam National University Hospital on May, 1977. The case showed clinical symptoms and signs of growth retardation, sexual infantilism, secondary adrenocortical hypofunction and secondary hypothyroidism with calcifications at the suprasellar area and midportion of the posterior cranial fossa. The symptoms were improved by replacement therapy with hydrocortisone, desiccated thyroid and menstruation occured with estrogen and gonadotropin administration.
