A Benzodithiophene-based Semiconducting Polymer for Organic Thin Film Transistor
2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.4
Benzodithiophene based organic semiconducting polymer was designed and synthesized by stille coupling reaction. The structure of polymer was confirmed by NMR and IR. The weight average molecular weight (Mw) of polymer was 8,400 using GPC with polydispersity index of 1.4. The thermal, optical and electrochemical properties of polymer were characterized by TGA and DSC, UV-vis absorption and cyclic voltammetry. OTFT device using PBDT-10 exhibited the mobility of 7.2 × 10−5 cm2 V−1 s−1 and Ion/Ioff of 2.41 × 103. The film morphology and crystallinity of PBDT-10, was studied using AFM and XRD.
Vol.- No.24
To those learning copious amounts of piano repertoire, the task of understanding sufficiently the various periods and works in those periods is by no means easy. Furthermore, identifying elementary and intermediate piano works from the modern era, especially works that use alternative forms of notation, is particularly challenging for both teachers and students. This study analyzes Stephen George Chatman's (b. 1950) innovative collection of piano compositions titled, Amusements (volumes 1-3, 1976-1978, Frederick Harris Music). Through this series, Chatman gives a progressive introduction of methods in modern music that can be experienced by elementary and intermediate students. As most of the pieces have titles and are structured in game-like arrangements, they prove incredibly effective in enhancing interest and imaginative thinking throughout the learning process. It is my hope that this analysis of Chatman's works, ever useful in the instructional and educational repertoire of contemporary music, will serve to widen pedagogical thinking.
