마산만의 자생 유기물 저감을 위한 단순 박스모델의 적용

단순 박스모델을 이용하여 $2005\sim2006$년 마산만의 담수 유량, 염분, 영양염, COD등 물질 수지를 산정하였다. 담수수지 계산 결과 계절별로 $307.4\times10^3\sim1,210\times10^3m^3/day$로 이 시기에는 5 월이 가장 높았다. 하천과 생활하수에 의한 DIP과 DIN의 유입flux는 각각 $410.8\sim795.7kg/day$ 및 $4081.4\sim6525.3kg/day$ 범위로 마산만 내부에서 질소의 축적이 예상된다. 순 기초생산(net primary production)은 연 평균 $0.028mol/m^2/day$로 $14.4\sim517.8mgC/m^2/day$의 범위로 분포하였으며, 평균 $330.7mgC/m^2/day$ 였다. 해저 퇴적물로부터의 영양염 공급을 100% 제거할 경우 COD 농도는 2.79mg/L 에서 2.20mg/L로 감소하여 COD의 21.0%의 제거 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. Simple box budgets models are useful tools to understand the phenomena of natural system and to provide an insight into the complex processes including physical, chemical and biological processes occurring in natural system. Budgets of fresh water, salt and nutrients were estimated in order to clarify the characteristics of seasonal material cycle in the Masan Bay. Outflow volume of freshwater into system was approximately $307.4\times10^3\sim1,210\times10^3\;m^3/day$. Inflow masses of DIP and DIN were approximately $410.8\sim795.7\;kg/day$ and $4081.4\sim6525.3\;kg/day$, respectively. DIN is expected to accumulate in the system. The removal of nutrients from bottom sediments will contribute to the reduction of 21.0% of COD concentration in the system.

Purpose: To analyze the outcome of endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) after preoperativesystemic steroid (PSS) treatment for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with nasal polyposis (NP) and to investigate and compare clinicopathological factors associatedwith the outcome. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of 468 patients with CRS with NP who underwent primary ESS between January 2005 and October 2011. 124 patients who met the inclusion criteria were included. Beginning from 2008, our clinic administered steroid preoperatively in patients of CRS with NP, thus there were 84 patients with preoperative systemic steroid (PSS group) and another 40 patients without such regimen (no PSS group). To evaluate the outcome after ESS, poor outcome and complication were analyzed according to the following parameters: age, sex, follow-up duration, eosinophilic infiltration, atopy, asthma, Lund-Mackay score, and polyp grade. Results: There was no significant difference in poor outcome rates between the PSS and no PSS group (35.0% vs. 47.6%, p=0.185). There was no significant difference in complicationrates between the PSS and no PSS group (10% vs. 6%, p=0.468). As with the multivariate analysis of the clincopathological factors to the poor outcome rate, presence of asthma and eosinophilic infiltration were significantly related (odds ratioas 6.555 and 4.505, respectively), whereas PSS was confirmed as less likely related(odds ratio 0.611). Conclusion: Low dose PSS administration does not seem to have an effect on the outcome after ESS in patients who have CRS with NP. Eosinophilicinfiltration and presence of asthma are important predictors of surgical outcome.

The propose of this study was to develop new simplify computerized planimetric method(Chonnam Pro.) by personal computer. Also, promote the personal oral hygine and dental health by using of computerized image analysis system. Percent Index expresses plaque area as a percentage of tooth area. The plaque area and tooth aces on color images were digitized and the number of pixels automatically counted. The association of the Quigley-Hein plaque index, debris index of oral hygine index by green & Vermillion and the was computerized planimetric method assessed by Speaman correlation. For the facial surfaces of an anterior teeth, the image were photographed, and the Q-H index and the debris index of oral hygine index by green & Vermillion were scored by same examiner. Chonnam Pro. revealed strongly positive correlation with Image Pro^ⓡ at pre-brushing(r=0.82, P<0.01) and post-brushing(r=0.97, P<0.01). And Chonnam Pro. revealed positive correlation with Q-H index at pre-brushing(r=0.73, P<0.01) and post-brushing(r=0.68, P<0.01), and positive correlation with debris index of oral hygine index by green & Vermillion at pre-brushing(r=0.75, P<0.01) and post-brushing(r=0.62, P <0.01). This study indicates that the proposed Chonnam Pro. of quantitatively express has high discriminative power.

Railway interlocking systems are safety-critical systems, which are required to show its safety. There are several methods to demonstrate the interlocking systems safety, which are process based proving, proven design methods, model based method and so on... One of most use methods is model based methods for safety proving method. The modelling of the interlocking systems is realized through mathematical modelling by using set theory. The interlocking systems are composed of tracks, point machines, signals and controllers which become route parts. The each physical components of the interlocking systems are modeled in a set and developed set models for routes and routes controls. By using set theory, we provided set model of the interlocking systems and compared the model with relay based logic circuits how to apply set model to real systems.
