Purpose: To evaluate the visual prognosis and time course of the foveal reattachment according to operation methods and preoperative factors using optical coherence tomography (OCT) after successful reattachment surgery in cases of macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Methods: From Jan 2006 to Aug 2008, 47 patients who underwent retinal reattachment surgery for macula-off retinal detachment who were followed up for more than 12 months were enrolled in this study. Thirty patients underwent vitrectomy, and 17 patients underwent a scleral buckle procedure. Ophthalmological examinations, including best-corrected visual acuity, slit-lamp examination, fundus examination, and OCT, were performed before surgery and at 1, 1.5, 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery. Results: The foveal reattachment time was shorter after vitrectomy than after the buckle procedure (p<0.05). Postoperative visual acuity was better when the height of the detached fovea, as viewed by OCT, was shorter, although foveal reattachment time was not related to visual prognosis. Conclusions: OCT may help to predict visual outcome and to assess macular changes in patients with macula-off retinal detachment after successful reattachment surgery. 취학 전 시설보호 아동의 수용기간과 감각조절기능과의 관계

목적 : 본 연구는 전 학령기의 시설보호 아동을 대상으로 감각조절기능과 문제행동을 평가하여 수용기간에 따른 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 연구대상은 부산지역 4개의 시설보호 아동 62명과 창원지역의 일반아동 26명으로 3-7세의 미취학 아동을 대상으로 하였으며, 신경학적 손상이 없고 청력이나 시력에 이상이 없는 아동으로 선정하였다. 감각조절능력은 단축 감각프로파일(SSP)을 사용하였고, 문제행동을 알아보기 위하여 아동행동체크리스트(CBCL)를 사용하였다. 결과 분석은 SPSS for windows 11.0을 사용하여 통계처리 하였다. 결과 : 일반아동과 시설보호 아동의 감각조절능력을 비교하였을 때 움직임 민감성, 활력이 부족함과 허약함 항목에서 시설보호 아동의 점수가 통계학적으로 유의하게 낮았다. 일반아동과 시설보호 아동의 문제행동을 비교하였을 때 위축행동, 공격행동 항목에서 시설보호 아동의 점수가 통계학적으로 유의하게 높았다. 수용기간에 따른 감각조절능력을 비교하였을 때 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 문제행동을 비교하였을 때 위축 행동에서 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 시설보호 아동의 일반적 특성에 따른 감각조절 능력 비교와 문제 행동 비교 중 각 기관의 점수가 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 결론 : 이 연구를 통하여 시설보호 아동들이 환경적인 측면에서도 영향을 받고 있다는 것을 알 수 있으므로, 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 시설보호 아동에게 필요한 환경에 대하여 객관화된 자료를 제공해 줄 수 있는 방법과 관련된 연구들이 나올 수 있기를 기대한다. Objective : The purpose of the study is to examine the length of institutionalization and sensory modulation for preschooler without disabilities, and to investigate the relationship between the length of institutionalization and behavioral problem. Method : Mothers of preschoolers without disabilities between ages of 3 and 7 who attend D kindergarten was participated. Nursery school teacher of institutionalized children without disabilities between ages of 3 and 7 who attend child-welfare facilities was participated. We used Short Sensory Profile(SSP) and Children Behavior Check list. The results were analyzed with SPSS 11.0. Results : There was no significant difference between longer length of institutionalization and shorter length of institutionalization in sensory modulation and behavioral problem. Regarding the sensory modulation and behavior problem according to child-welfare facilities, means showed the statistically significant difference. Regarding sensory modulation of test items, movement sensitivity and low energy/weak showed the statistically significant difference in home-reared children than institutionalized children. Conclusions : The results of the study showed high correlation environmental effect in institutionalized children. Further research is needed to improve environmental for institutionalized children.
3D프린팅 주형의 표면품질 향상을 위한 도형제 적용기술 연구

Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology is a new and widely use technology in the manufacturing industry. However, the domestic manufacturing industry is underutilized due to various manufacturing flaws and surface quality problems. This study intended to derive ways to improve the surface quality of products by improving the surface roughness of the sand mold manufactured by 3D printing. The test results confirmed improved viscosity control of the mold wash coated on the surface of the sand mold. In conclusion, it was possible to derive that the mold wash had a direct effect on the sand mold surface and to improve surface quality through coating methods on the mold and core.
Non-clinical pharmacokinetic behavior of ginsenosides

Ginsenosides, the major active ingredients of ginseng and other plants of the genus Panax, have beenused as natural medicines in the East for a long time; in addition, their popularity in the West hasincreased owing to their various beneficial pharmacological effects. There is therefore a wealth ofliterature regarding the pharmacological effects of ginsenosides. In contrast, there are few comprehensivestudies that investigate their pharmacokinetic behaviors. This is because ginseng contains thecomplicated mixture of herbal materials as well as thousands of constituents with complex chemicalproperties, and ginsenosides undergo multiple biotransformation processes after administration. This is asignificant issue as pharmacokinetic studies provide crucial data regarding the efficacy and safety ofcompounds. Moreover, there have been many difficulties in the development of the optimal dosageregimens of ginsenosides and the evaluation of their interactions with other drugs. Therefore, this reviewdetails the pharmacokinetic properties and profiles of ginsenosides determined in various animal modelsadministered through different routes of administration. Such information is valuable for designingspecialized delivery systems and determining optimal dosing strategies for ginsenosides.
염료감응 태양전지의 비백금 상대전극을 위한 니켈 나노입자-흑연질 탄소나노섬유 복합체

Ni nanoparticles (NPs)-graphitic carbon nanofiber (GCNF) composites were fabricated using an electrospinning method. The amounts of Ni precursor used as catalyst for the catalytic graphitization were controlled at 0, 2, 5, and 8 wt% to improve the photovoltaic performances of the nanoparticles and make them suitable for use as counter electrodes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). As a result, Ni NPs-GCNF composites that were fabricated with 8 wt% Ni precursors showed a high circuit voltage (0.73 V), high photocurrent density ($14.26mA/cm^2$), and superb power-conversion efficiency (6.72%) when compared to those characteristics of other samples. These performance improvements can be attributed to the reduced charge transport resistance that results from the synergetic effect of the superior catalytic activity of Ni NPs and the efficient charge transfer due to the formation of GCNF with high electrical conductivity. Thus, Ni NPs-GCNF composites may be used as promising counter electrodes in DSSCs.
