We have investigated about free radical reactions in lung of living mice using an in vivo electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrometer and nitroxyl radical as a probe. When an aqueous solution of nitroxyl probe was trans-tracheally administered into lung of living mice, sharp triplet signal was observed at chest of the mice. The signal gradually decreased with time, obeying first-order kinetics. Signal decay rates of carbamoyl-PROXYL and carboxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidine-N-oxyl were faster than those of CAT-1 and carboxy-PROXYL. Mechanism of the signal decay may attribute to (i) reaction with reactive oxygen species such as ·OH, (ii) transfer into blood circulation, or (iii) reduction by compounds continuously supplied. However, little is known about clearance mechanism of nitroxyl probe in lung. To evaluate how the ESR signal of nitroxyl probe disappears in lung, in vivo ESR spectra was recorded at chest of mice after trans-tracheal administration of an aqueous high concentrate solution of nitroxyl probe. Broad signal was observed at chest immediately after administration due to Heisenberg spin exchange interaction. Sharp triplet signal was superimposed on the broad signal and the appearance of triplet signal was followed by disappearance of the broad one. Peak-to-peak line width of the sharp signal was almost the same as that after intravenous administration. Distinct signal was detected in blood collected 10 min after trans-tracheal administration of nitroxyl probe. The observations indicate the transfer from lung to blood circulation and its contribution to clearance of probe in lung. The appearance of sharp signal in blood after trans-tracheal administration depended on the kind of nitroxyl probe, showing different transfer rate from lung to blood.
한국 기업의 기후변화 대응 평가: 전기・전자・통신 분야를 중심으로

This study assesses the response of Korean electronics companies to climate change and compares them with the climate behavior scores of Japanese electronics companies evaluated by WWF Japan. Evaluation indicators focused on two main sectors: targets and performances, and information disclosure. It was found that most Korean electronics companies do not have long-term targets when setting their GHG(Green House Gas) reduction targets, and many do not set their targets in view of life-cycle management. Many companies have aggressive targets based on absolute quantities, but only one has achieved the actual GHG reduction target. Actual emissions do not correlate with climate action scores, which means that the companies’ climate action does not lead to actual performance. Most companies scored high on information disclosure. Foreign investment shares and climate action scores were positively correlated. This study found that Korean electronics companies are more active in setting goals and are good at disclosing information; however, Japanese companies are better at achieving actual goals and comparing performance. 이 연구는 한국 전자기업의 기후행동을 평가하고, WWF Japan에서 평가한 일본 전자기업의 기후행동 점수와 비교했다. 평가지표는 크게 목표 및 성과, 정보공개 두 부문, 하위 21개 세부 지표로 구성되었다. 한국 전자기업은 온실가스 감축 목표 설정 시 장기목표를 가지고 있는 기업이 많지 않았고, 전범위 관점을 고려하여 목표를 설정한 기업도 많지 않았다. 많은 기업이 절대량을 기준으로 적극적인 목표를 가지고 있었으나, 실제 온실가스 목표를 달성한 기업은 1곳에 불과했다. 실제 배출량 추이가 기후행동 점수와 상관관계가없는 것으로 보아, 기업의 기후행동이 실질적인 성과로 연결되지 않음을 알 수 있다. 정보공개 부문에서 대부분의 기업이 높은 점수를 획득하였다. 외국인 투자 지분과 기후행동 점수는 정(+)의 상관관계가 있는 것으로나타났다. 일본 전자기업과 비교 결과, 한국 전자기업들은 목표 설정에 더 적극적이고, 정보공개를 잘하고 있는 것으로 나타났지만, 실제 목표 달성과 성과 이행 비교는 일본의 기업들이 더 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

One of the techniques for improvement of the nasolabial fold is the insertion of a fat or dermis fat graft. Guyuron introduced the dermis fat graft from the suprapubic area or the groin region. We innovated a procedure of rhytidectomy and dermis fat graft from rhytidectomy skin to the nasolabial fold area.In casse of a 48-year-old man a conventional cervicofacial flap was elevated from the preauricular and cervico-postauricular regeon to the nasolabial fold. The excess excised skin from the preauricular area was deepithehialized, contoured, and grafted to the nasolabial fold. Three pull-out suture were placed at the medial margin of the dermis fat graft to secure its position. This procedure have several advantages. First, a dermis fat graft under the nasolabial crease not only thickens the soft tissue but also provides a shield to prevent reattachment of the fibrous band to the dermis, which are causative of a recurrent crease. Second, it has no donor site morbidity. Third, the subcutaneous tissue of the preauricular area has much fascial component which survives better than fat injection of strip fat graft. Last, under the direct vision surgeon could place the graft in position he wants.This technique could be used in Asian whose skin is thick and whose maxilla is protruded.
서울시 전기차 온실가스 간접배출량 산정과 인벤토리 반영 방안

The number of electric vehicles (EVs) in Seoul has been increasing rapidly since 2017, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to conventional fuel vehicles. However, the current GHG inventory in Seoul does not accurately reflect emissions from EVs, as they are erroneously categorized under the building sector instead of under transportation. Although the emissions from EVs are not significant, their expected growth necessitates proper classification within GHG inventories. Without adequately calculating emissions by sector, it becomes challenging to establish and analyze local GHG reduction policies. To address this issue, this study was conducted in Seoul's 25 districts to determine the amount of charging required for electric vehicles. The study then trialed two different approaches to calculate GHG emissions. Gangnam-gu had the highest amount of emissions in both calculation methods. However, Geumcheon-gu and Yangcheon-gu had much higher emissions when geographical boundaries of charging were used. In order to accurately calculate EVs emissions based on VKT (Vehicle Kilometers Traveled), clear guidelines for the calculation of HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles) emissions are required. This study recommends measures to enhance the precision of the GHG inventory, ensuring that emissions from EVs are appropriately accounted for within the transportation sector.
