척추 경막상 지방종증은 과도하게 비대되고 증가된 경막상 지방조직이 신경조직을 압박하여 신경학적 증상을 유발하는 비교적 드문 질환이며, 주로 장기간 투여한 스테로이드와 관련되어 보고되었다. 특발성 척추 경막상 지방종증은 이러한 스테로이드 사용과 상관없이 발생하는 질환으로, 주로 비만 환자에서 발생하는 매우 드문 질환이다. 저자들은 스테로이드 사용과 관련없이 발생한 척추 경막상 지방종증 환자 2례를 치험하여 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Spinal epidural lipomatosis, which causes symptomatic compression of neural elements, is a relatively uncommon disease. Although it has been reported frequently in association with the administration of exogenous steroids, a few cases of epidural lipomatosis with no association to exogenous steroids, have been reported. Idiopathic spinal epidural lipomatosis may be a separate disease from that induced by steroid. Here, the authors present two cases of symptomatic epidural lipomatosis with no history of steroid-dependent diseases and review the relevant literature.

Objective : Adrenal medullary chromaffin cells are known to release analgesic substances such as opioides and catecholamines. Transplantation of them is a novel method that challenges current approaches in treating chronic pain. The transplantation of xenogeneic chromaffin cells into the central nervous system(CNS) supply antinociception in animals. In this study, we investigated the analgesic effects of rat adrenal medullary chromaffin cells transplanted into the CNS of the mouse. To study the antinociceptive efficacy of transplanted chromaffin cells, the survival of rat adrenal medullary chromaffin cells transplanted into the CNS of mouse was determined. Methods : The adrenal medullary chromaffin cells isolated from rat were transplanted into the striatum of mouse. These cells were confirmed of the release of Met-enkephalin and Leu-enkephalin by HPLC, and immunoblots for tyrosine hydroxylase(TH). Two weeks after transplantation, we performed immunohistochemistry for TH to determine the survival of implanted cells and assessed pain sensitivity at the same time. Results : The isolated rat adrenal medullary chromaffin cells were positive for anti-TH antibody and released Met-enkephalin and Leu-enkephalin more than rat endothelial cells. Transplanted rat chromaffin cells were stained with anti-TH antibody in striatum of mouse after 2 weeks. Pain sensitivity was reduced on the chromaffin cell-transplanted mouse compared to endothelial cell-transplanted mouse by the hot plate test. Conclusion : These results suggest that the rat chromaffin cells were suitably transplanted into the CNS of mouse. This approach could be used as a therapy for reducing of chronic pain induced by cancer or neuronal injury.

In this paper, the test results of the combustion for 2 IAFR lean fuel models are described. The need for the low emission combustor has been issued from the concern on the increase of green house and the destruction of ozone layer. To evaluate the flow and combustion performance of newly designed 21AFR lean modules, the hydraulic tests in stereolithographic airflows models, the low pressure combustion tests in three injectors model for weak extinction and ignition and the high pressure combustion tests in single sector for NOx, SAE and efficiency are performed. The low pressure tests reveal that the governing parameters in weak extinction and ignition at atmospheric condition are prefilmer length, swirl flow rotation direction, secondary swirl angle and flow split. As a result of combustion test at high pressure, the efficiency and smoke level are satisfied with performance targets, but EINOx of 17.8 is higher than target value of 13.1 The high pressure tests show that the main parameters influenced on NOx are primary swirl angle, swirl flow rotation direction, heatshield exit angle and liner mixing hole location.

경막정맥동 혈전증은 다양한 원인을 가진 비교적 드문 질환으로 알려져왔으며 임상양상 및 발현형태가 매우 다양하여 임상적 진단이 쉽지 않았다. 그러나 최근에는 여러 영상진단 방법, 특히 자기공명영상 혈관 촬영등을 통해 조기 진단이 가능하게되었다. 치료 방법을 결정할 때, 환자의 임상증상과 정맥순환계의 개인간 차이가 매우 중요한 인자중 하나이다. 저자들은 보존적 치료로 좋은 결과를 얻은 2례의 경막정맥동 환자의 특성을 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Cerebral dural sinus thrombosis(CDST) has been described as a rare disease with a variety of patho-etiological factors. The diagnosis of CDST is difficult due to various symptoms and signs, none of which is specific to CDST. But timely diagosis is critical for effective management. The introduction and widespread use of computed tomography(CT), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and cerebral angiography made early diagnosis of CDST possible. In particular, MR venography is the most useful tool for establishing a correct diagnosis quickly. In early literature, mortality ranked between 30% and 50% but in more recent series it is between 5.5% and 30%. With the advent of diagnostic and therapeutic tools, early diagnosis and proper management has made the prognosis better. The appropriate therapy for CDST, however, has been the subject of much cortroversy. Individual variations of the venous system and collateral vessels are key factors to decide the proper treatment. In this report, we present two cases with symptomatic CDST treated without open surgical or direct endovascular interventions with good outcome.

N/A Pathways both mediated by and independent of transferrin(Tf) and the TfR have been described for the accumulation of iron. Although it is not clear whether the same systems take up iron and gallium, these pathways may suggest the contention that uptake of Ga-67 can, in fact, occur by both Tf-independent and Tf-dependent systems and may share with Fe-59 in part the same mechanism for uptake. The predominant system by which uptake of both radiometals occurs may be different in the degree of the transformation af tumor. Transformed(MMSV/3T3) and untransformed(BALB/3T3) cells were incubated with luM of Ga-67-citrate of Fe-59-chloride for 15 min. at 37℃ in either the presence or absence of Tf. After then, the monolayers were washed with HBSS or PBS, and the cells were solubilized in 1% SDS for gamma well counting and protein determinations. There were similarities, as well as differences, in the pattern of uptake of Fe-59 and Ga-67 presented both in ionic from and as bound to Tf. Both radiometals appeared gain to cells in either ionic or Tf-bound forms. Transformed cells appeared to accumulate more radiometal, either Ga-67 or Fe-59 in the presence of Tf than do the their untransforemd counterparts. Conversly the presentation of either radiometal in ionic form resulted in significantly greater accumulation of metal by the untransformed cells than those transformed. The efficiency for uptake of Ga-67 or Fe-59 in the absence of Tf was greater than for uptake of the Ga-Tf or Fe-Tf. However, the magnitude of difference in efficiency of uptake was greater for Fe-59(10-fold) than for Ga-67 (3-fold). Our results Supports the theory that both Tf-independent and Tf-dependent systems for the uptake of Ga-67 both systems operate oppositely between transformed cells and those untransformed, with uptake by the predominating in transformed cells by the Tf-mediated system and in untransformed cells by the Tf-independent. The uptake of Ga-67 by tumor may share with Fe-59 in part the same mechanism.
한국형발사체 추진기관 연소기 및 터보펌프 시험설비 구축 현황

한국형발사체 추진기관 개발을 위한 연소기 연소시험설비, 터보펌프 실매질 시험설비에 대한 현재의 구축 현황을 간략히 기술하였다. 연소기 연소시험설비는 75톤급 액체로켓엔진 연소기 및 가스발생기의 연소시험을 수행하는 설비로써, 액체산소와 케로신을 추진제 탱크에서 연소기로 고압질소로 가압하여 공급하는 설비이다. 터보펌프 시험설비는 실추진제인 액체산소와 케로신을 사용하여 75톤 및 7톤급 터보펌프를 시험하는 설비로써 고압/고온의 공기 생성장치를 이용하여 터빈을 구동한다. 터보펌프에 공급하는 추진제의 공급/회수 탱크를 각각 2개씩 설치하고 test stand를 2개이다. 시험설비에 필요한 주요 부품 제작을 완료하였고, 우주센터에 건설공사를 진행하고 있다. The construction state of a combustion chamber test facility(CCTF) and a turbopump real propellant test facility(TPTF) is briefly described. The CCTF is the hot firing test facility to supply the high pressure propellant from tanks to a combustion chamber and a gas generator of a liquid rocket engine. The TPTF is the real propellant test facility to supply the LOx/Kerosene from tanks to a 75/7ton-class turbopump, to drive the turbine by high pressure/temperature air. The TPTF also have the two tanks for suppling and catching and the two test cells. The CTF/TPTF are under construction such as ordering the long delivery items, manufacturing the hardware and ground civil engineering.
