        Effects of Ripening Conditions on the ‘Lomo embuchado’ Sausage Quality

        The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of two different ripening durations, with, or without adding rose-mary powder, on Lomo embuchado (LEO) sausage quality. All LEOs were ripened for two different durations, 45 or 60 d,with, or without the addition of rosemary powder, as follows: 1) LEO ripened for 45 d (LER45), 2) LEO ripened for 60 d(LER60), 3) rosemary LEO ripened for 45 d (RLE45), and 4) rosemary LEO ripened for 60 d (RLE60). Significant differ-ences were observed in both moisture and ash content, with higher moisture and less ash content in LER45 (p<0.05). Notrend was shown in the crude protein content of the four different treatments, but significantly low protein content wasshown only in RLE45 (p<0.05). Ripening for 45 d improved the lightness, yellowness, and water activity of LEOs (p<0.05). However, ripening duration together with rosemary powder addition had no significant effects on redness (p>0.05). TheLER45 generated significantly improved chewiness, gumminess, and hardness, as compared to both LER60 and RLE60(p<0.05). In conclusion, the results suggest that ripening for 45 d seems to enhance LEO quality, but that rosemary powderaddition may not be required to develop good LEO quality.

        공장자동화 시스템의 생산성 향상을 위한 SEB 시스템 설계 및 제작

        국내․외에서 공장자동화에 대한 관심과 개발이 활발하게 시도되고 있다. 특히, 중소기업들은 공장자동화를 통한 생산성 향상을 위해서 노력하고 있다. 최근에는 독일의 인더스트리4.0 표준을 준수하고자 하는 노력이 전 세계적으로 시도되고 있다. 하지만 이것은 높은 개발 비용과 설비 비용 때문에 실질적인 투자나 개발은 이루어지지 않고 있다. 그러므로우리는 공장자동화시스템의 생산성을 높이기 위해서 SEB를 설계 및 제작하고자 시도하였다. SEB는 RFID와 WiFi 네트워크를 연동해서 기존 공장자동화 시스템보다 통신 범위를 넓히고, 전송 속도도 빠르게 개선하였다. 그리고 기존에 공장자동화 시스템에서 취약점인 보안 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 사용자 인증에 대한 부분을 추가로 해결할 수 있다. An Interest and development of an automation of the manufactory technology has been attempted actively indomestic and outside country. In particular, small and medium-sized manufactory are striving for the improvementof productivity through the automation of the plant. And manufactories to comply with the German's Industry 4.0standard has attempted worldwide recently. But, This is not performed because a substantial investment-cost anddevelopment-cost and high efforts. Therefore, we attempted to design and mockup the SEB to enhance theproductivity of the factory automation system. SEB, in conjunction with RFID and WiFi networks, expanding thecommunication range than the automation system of the existing plant, the transfer speed was also improvedrapidly. And to be able to solve the existing factory automation system of vulnerability security of the problem, itcan be solved by adding a section for user authentication.

        개량단지 한우 암소의 경제형질에 대한 유전력 추정

        The studies were carried out to estimate the heritabilities of body weights and body measurements in Korean native cattle on the basis of the records obtained from 15,713 heads of Korean native cattle raised at Hanwoo purebreeding region from 1987 to 1995. The heritabilities of the traits were estimated by the Becker's(1985) methods utilizing the variance and wvariance components of sire. The heritabilities estimates of the body weights at birth, 3, 12 and 24 months of age were 0.095±0.018, 0.243±0.036, 0.372±0.041 and 0.172±0.025, respectively. The heritabilies of withers height, hip height, body length, chest depth, chest width, rump length, hip width, thurl width, hipbone width, chest girth and shank circumference were 0.075, 0.134, 0.317, 0.250, 0.171, 0.192, 0.275, 0.192, 0.218, 0.243 and 0.220 at birth, 0.183, 0.226, 0.226, 0.341, 0.101, 0.175, 0.147, 0.090, 0.191, 0.213, 0.347 and 0.108 at 3 months of age, 0.350, 0.350, 0.342, 0.384, 0.283, 0.391, 0.399, 0.421, 0.395, 0.373 and 0.387 at 12 months of age and 0.305, 0.271, 0.188, 0.209, 0.140, 0.186, 0.188, 0.168, 0.275, 0.124 and 0.312 at 24 months of age, respectively.

        학교 중심의 자율성을 살리는 교육과정

        5·31 교육개혁 조치 이후에 발표된 교육과정 2000의 기본 아이디어는 제6차 교육과정으로 시작된 '학습자 중심 교육과정'의 이념을 현실적으로 구현하기 위한 보다 적극적인 조치로 받아들여지고 있다. 국민 공통 기본 교육과정의 도입, 교육과정 편제에 교과군 단위 개념의 도입, 수준별 교육과정의 도입, 재량시간의 신설 및 확대, 고교 2-3학년 선택 중심 교육과정의 도입, 질 관리 중심 교육과정 개념 도입, 정보화 사회에 대비한 컴퓨터 교육 강화 등의 특징을 지닌 교육관정 2000은, 교육과정의 국가적 공통성과 아울러 단위 학교의 창의적이고 자율적인 교육과정 편성 및 운영공간을 마련해 두려는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 '학교 중심의 자율성을 살리는 교육과정'의 의미를 학교 교육과정을 둘러싼 의사 결정 과정의 자율성으로 해석하고, 먼저 제6차 교육과정 이후 교육과정 2000에 나타난 학교 교육과정 자율성 관련 내용들을 추출하여 국가 교육과정에 나타난 교육과정 자율성의 의미를 살펴본다. 또한, 학교 수준의 교육과정적 자율성을 극대화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 위하여, 학교 교육과정에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 중심으로 그 수준 및 특성에 따라, 사회 수준-제도적 요인 및 사회 수준-의식적 요인, 학교 수준-제도적 요인, 학교 수준-의식적 요인으로 구분하여 발전과제들을 논의하고 있다. The aim of the sixthcurriculum revision in Korea is a move th decentralization of curriculum decision making, so called, school-based curriculum development. School-based curriculum development has an assumption that the school is properly to be regarded as a principal agency of curriculum development. The desirability of curriculum decision-making ar the school level ha been argued on grounds of both democracy and the quality of schooling. Recently, through proclamation of curriculum 2000 (the 7th curriculum revision), the Ministery of Education took a more positive step to devolve the right of curriculum development an implementation upon Local Education Authorities and individual schools. In the Curriculum 2000, several ideas to foster the autonomy of school-site curriculum development are suggested, including the expansion of school's individual characteristics, and diversified elective subjects system. In this context, this study mainly focused on the problem of how th encourage an individual school to exercise fully its autonomy allowed by centeral government. For this point, this study assumed that school-based curriculum development seems a sine qua non for improving the quality of schooling, and suggested two-dimensional frame factors which constrain and direct the character of curriculum decision making at school site. The first dimension is a relative distance between frame factors and an indiviaual school, and the second is the intrinsic characteristics of frame factors. According to this distinction, this study stipulated four categories of frame factors which affect the autonomy of school site curriculum development. They are sicietal-conscious factors, societal-institutional factors, school level-conscious factors, and school level-institutional factors.

        시범 적용된 응급의학 학생인턴십 프로그램에 대한 참가자들의 경험과 견해: 학생 및 교육자들을 대상으로 한 포커스그룹 연구

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore participants’experiences and views of a pilot emergency medicine (EM)sub-internship program. Methods: A pilot 4-week EM sub-internship program involving four academic emergency departments was developed and implemented at the beginning of fourth-year in medical school. Three focus group discussions were separately conducted with ten students, six supervising residents,or four faculty physicians upon completion of the program. Each 60- to 90-minute discussion was recorded,transcribed, and coded by two assessors independently. Contents were thematically analyzed and group interaction examined. Results: The participants identified several strengths of the program, including an opportunity to treat a variety of acute diseases for the first time, an opportunity to apply a symptom-based practice, an opportunity to experience a dynamic workplace, and an opportunity to receive help with careerplanning. Commonly identified weaknesses of the program were placed into three categories: 1) not enough bedside teaching time, 2) the workload of the educators, which impacts program efficiency, and 3) a variety of learning experience among the students. Ideas for improving the program included an announcement about the program in advance, the development of faculty skills, the development of new content, and a validation of the evaluation methods and institutional support. Conclusion: The EM sub-internship appears to be effective in preparing fourth-year medical students for many of the challenges they will face in the future. However, continuous efforts to strengthen the program are required. These study results will help EM educators develop their own subinternship program.

        Complete genome sequences of three isolates of Bean yellow mosaic virus identified from freesia (Freesia refracta Klatt.)

        We collected leaf samples of freesia displaying mild yellow mosaic symptoms from two freesia cultivars referred to as Pinksia-1 and Pinksia-2 to identify viruses infecting freesia (Freesia refracta Klatt.). By RNA-sequencing and bioinformatic analyses, we identified three complete genomes of Bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV) in the genus Potyvirus belonging to the family Potyviridae. The genome size of all three BYMV isolates was 9,528 nucleotides, and the nucleotide identity of the three BYMV genomes ranged from 99.90% to 99.91%. All three isolates in this study were closely associated with the known BYMV isolate Fr from freesia in Korea. The genome of BYMV was composed of positive-sense single-stranded RNA and encoded a large polyprotein, which was further self-cleaved into 10 different mature viral proteins and the pretty interesting potyviridae ORF (PIPO) protein. Taken together, we report the complete genomes of three BYMV isolates identified from freesia in Korea by RNA-sequencing.

        유기 육계에 침엽수 부산물과 추출물의 급여가 성장, 장기 및 맹장내 미생물에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 침엽수 추출물의 사료내 첨가 급여가 유기 육계의 생산성, 장기 변화 및 장내 미생물 변화에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 실행하였다. 시험 설계는 대조구(C), 대조구+항생제 1.0%(+C), 침엽수 분말 3.0%(T1), 침엽수 추출물 0.05% (T2), 0.10%(T3) 첨가한 5개 처리구로 하였다. 처리구당 4반복, 반복당 10수씩 전체 200수 1일령 육계($Ross\;{\times}\;Ross$)를 35일간 평사에 배치하였다. 실험 전 기간의 증체량은 항생제 첨가구인 +C구와 침엽수 추출물 0.1% 첨가구인 T3구에서 제일 높았으며, 대조구와 침엽수 분말을 첨가한 T1구는 다른 처리구보다 낮았다. 사료 요구율은 T1구가 다른 처리구보다 현저하게 높았으며, +C와 T3에서 우수하였다. 소장무게는 대조구와 +C구가 제일 높았지만 처리구간에 통계적인 차이는 없었으며, 소장의 길이는 T1이 제일 길었으며, +C구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 짧았다(P<0.05). 근위 중량은 T2구가 유의적으로 가장 무거웠으며 (P<0.05), 비장 무게는 대조구가 가장 낮았지만(P<0.05), 맹장과 간 무게는 처리구간에 차이가 없었다. 융모 길이는 대조구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 길게 나타났으며(P<0.05). 장내 미생물도 대조구가 처리구보다 유의적으로 높거나 (P<0.05), 높은 경향을 보였다. 에너지 및 단백질 소화율은 대조구와 T1구에서 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 낮게 나타났다(P<0.05). IgG 농도는 대조구와 T1에서 다른 처리구에 비하여 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 본 실험 결과 침엽수 추출물의 급여는 부산물과 대조구에 비하여 사료의 영양소 이용율을 개선하였고, 성장도 개선하는 경향을 보였으며, 항생제 처리구와 동일한 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 항생제 대체재로서 가능성을 보였으며, 유기육계 사육에 생산 능력을 개선하는 사료 첨가제로써 가치가 있었다. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary softwood by-products extract on growth performance, organ weight and intestinal microbes in organic broiler chicks. Five treatments were assigned to 200 broiler chicks with four replication, allocating 10 broiler chicks in each replication. Dietary treatments included control(Organic diet), +C(Organic diet + antibiotics), T1(Organic diet + softwood by-product powder 3.0%), T2(Organic diet + softwood by-product extract 0.05%) and T3(Organic diet + softwood by-product extract 0.1%). Body weight gain was higher in +C and T3 for overall period than control and T1. Feed efficiency of were slightly improved in +C and T3 groups compared with that of control and T1. The small intestine weight tended to be higher in control and +C, but it's length showed high in only T1 group. Gizzard weight was significantly higher in T2 compared with other treatments(P<0.05). In contrast, spleen weight was significantly lower in control group(P<0.05), whereas the weight of cecum and liver were not significantly different by dietary treatment. Intestinal microflora was significantly lower or/and seemed to be low in softwood by-products treatment groups than control. Digestibility of energy and protein were statistically lower in control and T1 than other treatments(P<0.05). The IgG concentration of birds fed antibiotics, softwood by-product extract was higher than control and T1, but was no significance. The results of this experiments indicated that softwood by-product extract would be possible to apply for the feed additive in organic broiler diets.

        학교 교육과정 평가 모형의 구안과 시,도 교육청 평가 실제의 분석

        최근 들어 학교 중심 교육과정 체제의 정착과 함께, 교육과정의 개선과 질 관리를 위한 평가의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 교육과정 평가의 요구를 개관하고, 평가의 목적 혹은 지향성, 평가의 대상과 내용, 평가의 방법론 등 세 가지 차원에 근거한 학교 교육과정 평가 모형을 개발하였다. 더 나아가 이 모형을 참조하여 2001년 시·도 교육청 평가에 나타난 학교 교육과정 평가의 실제와 성과를 비교·분석하였다. There will be a consensus on considering evaluation crucial to the health of education and its programs. In the last decade, since the introduction of school-based curriculum system by the 6th revision of curriculum for elementary and secondary education, there has been a growing tendency to demand that the results of curriculum activities be identified and communicated among stakeholders of education. This is linked to a new emphasis of the importance of education and making the schools accountable. To meet such a tendency requires that educators conceive and carry out an effective evaluation and reporting process of evaluation results. In general, evaluation is a process or cluster of processes that people perform to gather data that will enable them to decide worth or merit of something. Applied to curriculum, evaluation focuses on determining whether the curriculum as developed and implemented is producing or can produce the desired results. In this vein, curriculum evaluation will be essential activities to improve the existing curriculum by using objective and empirical data-gathering methods. In this study, for the purpose of clarifying the complex meanings of curriculum evaluation as an terminology of education, an school-curriculum evaluation model was constructed in terms of purposes, objects, and methodologies of curriculum evaluation, which was depicted by a cubic model composed of 144 cells. This cubic model of curriculum evaluation can be used as a sort of conceptual scheme to guide designing and implementing of evaluation of a particular thing. And furthermore, this study tried to analyze and compare the practices of school-curriculum evaluation respectively conducted by 16 Offices of Education. In order to identify the current state of curriculum evaluation, "the 2001 Self-Evaluation Report of the 7th School Curriclum" prepared by local authority of education so-called Office of Education was analyzed in terms of purpose or philosophy, objects or elements, and methods of curriculum evaluation, and compared with each other by the technique of document analysis.
