본 연구에서는 우리나라에서 발생한 살해 후 자살의 현황을 파악하고, 이들의 자살과 관련한 특성을 확인하였다. 살해 후 자살은 사건 자체가 가지는 심각한 폭력성, 발생 이후 주변의 충격 정도, 미디어의 높은 관심과 확산 가능성에도 불구하고, 공식 통계의 부족으로 그동안 정확히 연구되지 못했다. 이에 보건복지부가 한국생명존중희망재단을 통해 수집한 ‘경찰 수사기록을 통한 자살사망자 전수조사’ 데이터를 이용하여 2013년부터 2017년까지의 살해 후 자살사망자의 현황, 인구통계학적 특성, 자살 관련 특성, 사망 전 경고신호와 유서 정보를 탐색했다. 이때, 살해 후 자살유형을 Marzuk, Tardiff와 Hirsch(1992)가 제시한 방식에 따라 네 가지 유형-동반자 살해 후 자살, 자녀 살해 후 자살, 가족 살해 후 자살, 가족 외 살해 후 자살-으로 분류한 후 카이검증을 통해 유형간 차이를 확인하였다. 분석 결과, 우리나라는 5년간 전체 자살사망자 수의 0.44%가 살해 후 자살사망자에 해당하였고, 인구 10만 명 당 평균 살해 후 자살사망률은 0.11명이었다. 유형 간 차이를 확인한 결과, 동반자 살해 후 자살유형은 남성, 고연령대의 비율이 높고 관계문제를 주원인으로 하는 경우가 많았다. 자녀 살해 후 자살유형은 여성, 저연령대의 비율이 높고, 사망 당시 우울 및 수면 문제와 같은 정신건강문제를 지니고 있었던 비율이 높았으며, 유서상에 자살의 이유를 언급한 빈도가 높았다. 가족 살해 후 자살유형은 사망 당시 경제문제를 경험하고 있었던 비율이 높았다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의, 제한점 및 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

Multiple symmetric lipomatosis (MSL) is a rare disease characterized by symmetrical massive fatty deposits on the face, neck, shoulders, and upper trunk. We report a 74-year-old man who complained of painless subcutaneous nodules on his posterior neck that developed 3 weeks earlier. In a week, variably-sized similar lesions developed on both his shoulders and upper extremities. At the time of his hospital visit, several firm nodules as big as a walnut to a child’s fist and with the normal-skin-hue were observed on his posterior neck, both shoulders, upper extremities, and trunk. The histological examination of his upper left arm revealed more mature adipocytes without encapsulation in the subcutaneous tissue. MSL was generally known to occur slowly over months or years. However, this is an unusual case that showed a fast-growing nature.

This paper is proposed web-based mold manufacturing process management system for the effective manufacturing processing management. Developed system is G-code analysis to include manufacturing information and organize according to cutting level, tool species, and tool path, etc. It is able to insert OMM(On Machine Measurement)-code in the organized G-code. And this system is developed to control remote-place manufacturing process management system by web-based Sever / Client system. So this is able to control remote-place system monitoring and mold manufacturing process management.
Apoptosis and Expression of AQP5 and TGF-βin the Irradiated Rat Submandibular Gland

Purpose : To evaluate the effect of X-ray irradiation on apoptosis and change of expression of aquaporin 5 (AQP5) and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) in the rat submandibular gland (SMG). Materials and Methods : SMGs of 120 male Sprague-Dawley rats were irradiated with a single X-ray dose (3, 10, 20, or 30 Gy). At the early and late post-irradiation phase, apoptosis was measured by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase biotin-dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) method, and expression of AQP5 and TGF-βwas determined by immunohistochemical staining. Results : At the late post-irradiation phase, increased apoptosis was evident and marked decreases of expression of AQP5 expression by acinar cells and TGF-βexpression by ductal cells were evident. Conclusion : Apoptosis after X-ray irradiation develops relatively late in rat SMG. Irradiation reduces AQP5 and TGF-βexpression in different SMG cell types.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the tolerability and effect of early highdose amino acid administration in extremely low birth weight infants (ELBWIs). Methods: This retrospective cohort study included ELBWI (birth weight <1,000 g, n=142). Biochemical, nutritional, and neurodevelopmental data were compared between infants who received conventional low amino acid (LAA; 1.5 g/kg/day) and those who received high amino acid (HAA; 3 g/kg/day) within the first 48 hours after birth. Neurodevelopmental data included weight, height, and head circumference at discharge, 12 to 14 and 18 to 24 months of corrected age and the Korean Bayley Scale of Infant Development II (K-BSID-II) score at 18 to 24 months of corrected age. Results: The HAA group demonstrated higher peak plasma albumin (3.0±0.4 vs. 3.2± 0.5, P<0.05) and lower serum creatinine (1.7±0.9 vs. 1.4±0.8, P<0.05) during the first 14 days than the LAA group. Full enteral feeding was achieved significantly earlier in infants in the HAA group than in infants in the LAA group (46.2±23.0 days vs. 34.3±21 days, P<0.01). There was no difference between the two groups in the z score changes in all growth indicators from birth to discharge and at 12 to 14 and 18 to 24 months of corrected age, as well as in the K-BSID-II score at 18 to 24 months of corrected age. Conclusion: Aggressive administration of amino acids during the first 2 days of life in ELBWI was well tolerated and correlated with earlier full enteral feeding, but did not improve growth and neurodevelopment.
Hypoxia-Induced Endothelial Progenitor Cell Function Is Blunted in Angiotensinogen Knockout Mice

Angiotensinogen (AGT), the precursor of angiotensin I, is known to be involved in tumor angiogenesis and associated with the pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerosis. This study was undertaken to determine the role played by AGT in endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in tumor progression and metastasis. It was found that the number of EPC colonies formed by AGT heterozygous knockout (AGT+/-) cells was less than that formed by wild-type (WT) cells, and that the migration and tube formation abilities of AGT+/- EPCs were significantly lower than those of WT EPCs. In addition, the gene expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Flk1, angiopoietin (Ang)-1, Ang-2, Tie-2, stromal derived factor (SDF)-1, C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4), and of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) were suppressed in AGT+/- EPCs. Furthermore, the expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α and -2α were downregulated in AGT+/- early EPCs under hypoxic conditions, suggesting a blunting of response to hypoxia. Moreover, the activation of Akt/eNOS signaling pathways induced by VEGF, epithelial growth factor (EGF), or SDF-1α were suppressed in AGT+/- EPCs. In AGT+/- mice, the incorporation of EPCs into the tumor vasculature was significantly reduced, and lung tumor growth and melanoma metastasis were attenuated. In conclusion, AGT is required for hypoxia-induced vasculogenesis.
