Objective: To investigate the effects of continuous repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on pain response in spinal cord injured rat. Method: Forty Sprague-Dawley rats (200∼250 grams, female) were used. Thoracic spinal cord (T9) was contused using New York University (NYU) spinal cord impactor. Ten gram weight rod was dropped from a height of 25 mm to produce spinal cord contusion model with moderate injury. The animals were randomly assigned to two groups: one exposed to real magnetic stimulation (real-rTMS group) and the other not exposed to magnetic stimulation (sham- rTMS group). rTMS was applied for 8 weeks. To assess the effect of continuous rTMS on below-level pain responses after spinal cord injury (SCI), the hindpaw withdrawal response for thermal stimuli, cold stimuli and mechanical stimuli were compared between two groups. Results: Behavioral response for pain showed that hindpaw withdrawal response for cold stimuli was reduced significantly from 4 weeks after SCI in real-rTMS group compared with sham group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that continuous rTMS may have beneficial effects on attenuation of cold allodynia after SCI, and it might be an additional non-invasive therapeutic method in patients with chronic neuropathic pain after SCI. 유방암에서 HER2 유전자 검사를 위한 자동화 은제자리부합법 검사의 유용성: 형광제자리부합법과 면역조직화학염색과의 비교

Background : The human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is amplified in 20-25% of breast cancers. HER2 overexpression or amplification is associated with a worse clinical outcome and it can predict the benefit from anthracycline and anti-HER2 therapies. The HER2 status has usually been assessed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) or fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in clinical samples. A new silver-enhanced in situ hybridization (SISH) technique was recently introduced. Therefore we evaluated the usefulness of SISH for detecting HER2 amplification. Methods : Tissue microarrays (TMAs) were constructed with 144 invasive breast cancer tissue samples. We performed IHC, FISH and SISH for HER2 on the tissue sections from the TMAs and we interpreted the results according to the American Society of Clinical Oncology/College of American Pathologists (ASCO/CAP) guidelines. The concordant rates between the two different tests were calculated. Results : HER2 was overexpressed and amplified in 16.9%, 16.9%, and 18% of the cases by IHC, FISH and SISH, respectively. The concordant rates between IHC and FISH, IHC and SISH, and FISH and SISH were 95.1%, 95.7%, and 97.8%, respectively. Conclusions : SISH can be an alternative test for evaluating HER2 amplification because the 97.8% concordance with FISH satisfies the ASCO/ CAP requirement of > 95% concordance with an alternative validated method.
패스트푸드의 종류 및 특징에 대한 연구 - 대전지역 고등학생을 대상으로 -

The purpose of this study was to distinguish which food is fast foods and to define the characteristics of fast foods. The 14 kind of foods(hamburger, pizza, fried chicken, raymyeon, hotdog, doughnut, fried fish cake, jajangmyeon・udong, ice cream, dukbokki, spaghetti, sandwich, gimbab, and salad) and 5 characteristics of fast foods(takeout, franchise, fast serving, unhealthy, and cheap price foods) were selected based on the dictionary and previous research papers about fast foods for this study. A total of 306 male and female high school student in Daejeon area were participated. The data were gathered by questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. The participants evaluated the fast foods as delicious and convenient foods but non-nutritious, i.e. high fat but vitamin deficient foods. Among the 14 foods examined, hamburger, pizza, and fried chicken were the foods which more than 90% of the participants acknowledged to fast foods. Dukbokki, spaghetti, sandwich, gimbab, and salad were the foods which less than 50% of the participant acknowledged to fast foods. Among the 5 characteristics of fast food examined, unhealthy foods showed the highest sensitivity, specificity, predictive value, and odds ratio(0.803, 0.712, 0.597, and 2.79, respectively), and cheap price showed the lowest values of those(0.565, 0.335, 0.242, and 0.85, respectively) for acknowledging foods to fast foods. As conclusion, hamburger, pizza, and fried chicken were the representative foods of fast foods. Fast foods are generally considered as fast served cheap price foods, but the participants did not think the fast foods as fast and cheap foods. The most distinguished characteristics of fast foods in the students' minds was unhealthy foods. 패스트푸드는 간단한 조리를 거쳐 신속히 제공되는 음식으로 정의하고 있는데, 어떤 종류의 음식을 패스트푸드로 분류할 수 있는지, 패스트푸드와 패스트푸드가 아닌 음식을 구분하는 특징은 무엇인지 분명하지 않다. 본 연구는 선행 연구에서 패스트푸드로 제시한14종 음식을 대상으로 패스트푸드의 인정 여부를 조사하였으며, 패스트푸드 인정 여부를 결정하는 패스트푸드의 특징에 대하여 조사하였다. 남・여 고등학생 306명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 분석하였다. 조사대상자는 패스트푸드가 맛있고 편리한 음식이지만 영양가가 낮은 음식 즉, 고지방, 저비타민 음식으로 평가하였다. 햄버거, 피자, 프라이드치킨, 라면, 핫도그는 80% 이상의 조사대상자가 패스트푸드로 인정하였으나, 떡볶이, 스파게티, 샌드위치, 김밥, 샐러드의 경우 패스트푸드 인정 비율이 50%에 미치지 못하였다. 패스트푸드의 5가지 특징 중 음식의 패스트푸드 인정 여부를 결정하는 가장 확실한 특징은 건강에 해로운 음식이었고, 가장 불확실한 특징은 신속한 제공과 저렴한 가격으로 조사되었다. 패스트푸드가 흔히 fast, cheap foods로 지칭되지만 조사대상 남・ 여 고등학생은 패스트푸드를 신속히 제공되는 값싼 음식으로 인식하지 않는다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
