Objective: This study examined the relations between maternal meta-emotion philosophy, child interpersonal problem solving, and peer competence among children aged 4.5 and their mothers and teachers. Methods: A total of 54 children from 24 kindergartens were assessed on their interpersonal problem solving and peer competence. Their mothers reported on meta-emotion philosophy. Their teachers were assessed on child peer competence. Results: The major findings of this study were as follows. First, maternal meta-emotion philosophy, child interpersonal problem solving, and child peer competence showed positive correlation patterns. Second, child interpersonal problem solving and peer competence was found to be influenced by maternal child-directed meta-emotion philosophy but not by maternal self-directed meta-emotion philosophy. Conclusion: Findings highlight the importance of maternal meta-emotion philosophy and that their emotion socialization play a significant role in identifying the mechanisms leading to child social cognitive ability and social adjustment. Furthermore, these results could lead to important basic studies in developing parent/teacher education programs.
부모의 양육태도가 아동의 협동역량에 미치는 영향: 아동의 자아존중감과 사회적 위축의 이중매개효과

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parenting attitudes on teamwork competencies and the dual mediation effect of children’s self-esteem and social withdrawal. To this end, a structural equation model analysis was conducted on 2,607 fourth-graders in elementary schools that participated in the 1st wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018). Parenting attitudes were not found to affect teamwork competencies in children directly, but the dual mediating effect of self-esteem and social withdrawal was significant. In other words, in order to develop the teamwork competencies, it is necessary to consider parenting attitudes, children’s self-esteem, and social withdrawal. Based on these results, policy and practice implications were discussed.
아동청소년복지 종사자 역량에 관한 요구 분석: Borich 요구도와 LF 모델을 중심으로

Objectives The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to explore the direction of practice of strengthen ing the professional competency of child and youth welfare workers. Methods The subjects of the study were collected from 163 child and youth welfare workers from July 2022 to March 2023. The measurement tools were based on 14 standards of The NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Child Welfare of the National Association of Social Workers. Results As a result of the study, according to the method of deriving the priorities of Borich need and The Locus for Focus model, the common high needs were ‘Administration’, ‘professional development’, ‘qualification’, and ‘collaboration’. And the next needs were ‘advocacy’ and ‘supervision’. Conclusions Based on the research results, strengthening qualification standards for professional development and reinforcement, preparing a systematic supervision system, institutional reorganization to improve excessive workload and caseload, opening of essential courses in conservative education to create an appropriate horizontal communication system and flexible organizational culture, active advocacy activities was suggested.
