The purpose of this study is to analyze the situation of money management of young generation, especially among teen-agers to help them for their reasonable money control and is to present some materials needed to their parents and teachers for well-directed guidane of young boys and girls in their spending money. It is firstly preceded with distribution of questionaire among 360 schoolboys and girls of second year grade in four high schools in Jeon-Ju city and the papers thus collected were dealt with x²(chi-square) in the test of significance between boys and girls by percentage and generally the following conclusions were obtained without any remarkable differences seen between boys and girls: 1. Teen-agers do not make a plan for using money and receive most of money they expend from their parents. They tend to ask for money whenever they are necessary rather than demand regularly by a week or amonth. 2. The money young boys and girls expend during a month is at most less than five thousand Won and they decide the amount of money by themselves, but it is made known contradictiously that they are not quite satisfied with the sum of money they use. It is thought that the amount of money they expend is largely dependent on the financial conditions of their parents. 3. Teen-agers expend money freely without any interference from their parents and expenditure situation is not kept on records. It was observed that the way of using money is comparatively sound since they expend money in purchasing books, school supplies(things) and food to eat between meals.
