In this study, a shift control algorithm ror improving the shift quality of a parallel hybrid drivetrain with an automated manual transmission (AMT) is proposed. The general AMT requires the sophisticated control of clutch in the clutch engagement to improve its shift characteristics, and that is generally known to be difficult. But in this hybrid drivetrain, we can control the speeds of clutch plates by engine and motor control, and it provides the easier clutch control in shift process than general AMT. Additionally, it permits the much-reduced shift shock. The motor control during the shift period is also to achieve reduced velocity drop of the vehicle in comparison with that of a general AMT. Furthermore various dynamometer-based experiments are carried out to prove the validity of the proposed shift control algorithm.

To analyze the correlation between drivetrain systems and to optimize the vehicle design with satisfying of the initial design objects, the performance sensitivity analysis through the iterative design procedure must be carried oul. In this study, effects of the design parameters for the main components of the parallel type hybrid drivetrain system are analyzed by using the developed method of the vehicle performance simulation, and the basis of the optimal selection of the design parameters from the relation of design constraints and required performances is suggested.<br/> In driving control of the parallel hybrid vehicle, power split ratio is the most important factor, and the improved drivetrain system can be constructed through the only change of the algorithm for determination of the power split ratio, which is strongly applicable to the driving patterns and the environments. Therefore, various techniques, such as the change of the weighting factors and the range extended algorithm, are suggested and evaluated in this paper.

In this study, the advanced shift control algorithm for parallel type hybrid drivetrain system with automated manual transmission(AMT) is proposed, The AMT can be easily realized by mounting the pneumatic actuators and sensors on the clutch and shift levers of the conventional manual transmission. By using the electronic-controlled AMT, engine and induction machine, it is possible to achieve the integrated control of overall system for the efficiency and the performance of the vehicle. Performing the speed control of the induction machine and the engine, the synchronization at gear shifting and the smooth engagement of clutch can be guaranteed. And it enables to reduce the shift shock and shorten the shift time. Hence, it results in the improvement of shift quality and the driving comfort of the vehicle. Dynamometer-based experiments are carried out to prove the validity of the proposed shift control algorithm.<br/>
온라인 게임에서 나타난 가상현실의 커뮤니티와 아바타에 관한 고찰

오늘날 인터넷의 발달은 사이버 커뮤니티라는 또 다른 형식의 사회를 만들어 냈다. 이에 사회적 환경인 온라인상에서 청년기 아바타 사용자들에 대한 현실적 자아와 온라인상에서 자신을 표출하고 있는 수단인 아바타의 자아 정체성과의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구범위는 현실적 자아관련 특성으로 자기개념의 자기 인식, 자아상, 자아존중감과 그리고 가상적 자아관련 특성으로 아바타에 대한 자기의식과 대인관계 의식을 논하고자 한다. 연구 대상자는 집단 간의 동질성을 고려하여 가상의 아바타를 사용하고 있는 사람을 대상으로 10대, 20대의 아바타 사용자의 유의표집(Purposive Sampling) 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 결과로는 청년기의 자아정체감과 가상성에 대한 인식은 가상공간상의 아바타 캐릭터에 대하여 자기와 동일시하면서도 별도의 자아를 확립하는 이중자아로서 현실과 가상의 구분을 명확히 인식하지 못할 수 있는 자아동일성과는 차이가 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 청년기의 아바타 사용자는 가상성을 사물의 존재 양식으로 인식하게 되고 자유의식과 자기의식 및 시·공간적 양의 개념에 민감한 의식구조가 형성되었다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 아바타 소비자의 자기인식과 동일시하는 요소들의 활용을 통해 크리에이티브를 증진시키고 소비자들의 미적 가치를 형성시키는 아바타를 제시한다면 현 시대의 다양한 표현 양식의 원천으로 작용할 것이라고 본다. The development of today`s Internet, a cyber community that has created another type of society. The online social environment for youth, realistic avatars users online self and the means of expressing yourself avatar was to analyze the relationship between self-identity. Studies range from realistic self-concept of self-related nature of the self-awareness, self-appearance of self-esteem and self-related attributes, and the avatar for the hypothetical self-consciousness and awareness of interpersonal relationships will want to study. Research subjects by considering the homogeneity between the groups using the virtual avatars of people who are 10, 20 units of the user`s avatar purposive sampling was conducted online surveys. Results include self-identity and the virtual nature of youth awareness about the character avatar on a virtual space, while a separate self-identification and to establish self as a double self clarify the distinction between virtual reality and can not recognize the self-same performance could see the difference in appearing. The results of the youth, the virtual nature of the user`s avatar in the form of things to recognize is the presence awareness and self-consciousness, and when painting a positive concept of conscious awareness, spatial structure can be viewed has been formed. This avatar of consumers to identify the elements of self-awareness and utilization to promote the creative and aesthetic value of the consumer to form a variety of avatar representation in the present age, if the present form would serve as a source of looks.
유지 혈액투석환자에서의 우울증 발생의 위험인자 및 우울증이 영양지표에 미치는 영향

N/A Background: Depression is common in chronic renal failure patients and usually associated with poor appetite. Malnutrition with poor appetite is known to be associated with increased mortality in chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients. So we evaluated the prevalence, risk factors of depression and effects of depression to nutritional status in chronic HD patients. Methods: Sixty two HD patients (age 48.8±11.1 years, diabetes 29%) were investigated. Each patients were interviewed and completed the Beck depression inventory (BDI, 21 items, 0-3 point). To exclude the possible confounding effects of illness and treatment symptoms, cognitive depression index (CDI, a cognitive subset of 15 items selected from BDI) was used as a measure of depression. KT/V and nutritional parameters such as serum albumin, normalized protein catabolic rate (nPCR), subjective global assesment (SGA), body mass index (BMI), triceps skinfold thickness (TSF) and midarm muscle circumference (MAMC) were also measured. Results: Corrected BDI score (CDI score multiplied by 21/15) was 24.9±12.7 and the prevalence of depression (corrected BDI score≥21) was 64.5%. DM patient s had higher CDI score than non DM patient (22.9±7.2 vs 15.6±9.0). In univariate analysis, CDI score was correlated with age (r =0.39, p <0.01), serum albumin (r =- 0.37, p <0.005), nPCR (r =- 0.30, p <0.05), SGA (r =- 0.42, p <0.05), BMI (r =- 0.28, p <0.05), TSF (r =- 0.41, p <0.05) and MAMC (r =- 0.50, p <0.01). In multivariate analysis, CDI score was the strongest correlate of nPCR, SGA, BMI, TSF and MAMC. But KT/V, hematocrit, erythropoietin usage, plasma bicarbonate, serum parathyroid hormone, c-reactive protein concentration and HD duration had no relationship with CDI score. Conclusion: The prevalence of depression in chronic HD patients was high. Diabetes and old age were import ant risk factors for depression. It was also concluded that severity of depression was correlated with markers of malnutrition and depression could be a independent risk factors of malnutrition in chronic HD patients.(Korean J Med 62:77-82, 2002)

In the recent studies, various types of multi mode electric variable transmission for hybrid electric vehicle have been proposed. Multi mode electric variable transmission consists of two or more different type planetary gear hybrid powertrain system(PGHP), which can change its power flow type by means of clutches for improving transmission efficiencies. Generally the power flows can be classified into three different types such as Input split, output split nd compound split. In This paper, we present velocity and torque equations of the input-split powertrain and analyze its optimal Performances. There are six combinations of the input-split powertrain, each combination has various lever length. We find optimal planetary gear ratios for fuel economy and acceleration performance, and compare performances of each combination.

Pd alloy hydrogen membranes for hydrogen purification and separation need thermal stability at high temperature for commercial applications. Intermetallic diffusion between the Pd alloy film and the porous metal support gives rise to serious problems in long-term stability of Pd alloy membranes. Ceramic barriers are widely used to prevent the intermetallic diffusion from the porous metal support. However, these layers result in poor adhesion at the interface between film and barrier because of the fundamentally poor chemical affinity and a large thermal stress. In this study, we developed Pd alloy membranes having a dense microstructure and saturated composition on modified metal supports by advanced DC magnetron sputtering and heat treatment for enhanced thermal stability. Experimental results showed that Pd-Cu and Pd-Ag alloy membranes had considerably enhanced long-term stability owing to stable, dense alloy film microstructure and saturated composition, effective diffusion barrier, and good adhesive interface layer.
