        폐가구류의 효율적 수거계획 수립을 위한 기초조사 연구

        In order to establish an efficient collection plan for waste furniture as bulky waste, basic data such as moving distance of the collection truck, efficiency according to the type of truck, and collection amount per person, etc., are required. In Iksan City, one person discharged 20.8 kg of waste furniture during the year in 2019. The daily moving distance of collection truck was twice as long in rural areas as in downtown areas, while the amount of collection was twice as large in downtown areas. The amount of collection was twice as much for the tongs truck during the same working time as the general truck. When collecting wasted furniture in its original shape, trucks were move more than once a day than when collected after dismantling at the discharge site. However, in both cases, the total daily collection amount was similar. Unauthorized discharge of waste furniture in Iksan city was 3,288.3 tons/year in 2020, 36.4 % of the total amount generated.

      • 폐수처리장의 휘발성 오염물질 제거를 위한 폐타이어 박편 이용에 관한 연구

        타이어의 구성성분중 카본블랙은 33%이며 이성분은 활성탄과 같은 흡착성능을 갖고있다. 이러한 성질을 이용하여 하수처리장으로 부터 휘발되는 유기성화학물질의 제거에 적용하는 경우 공기유량/폐수주입량에 따라 효율이 좌우된다. 공기유량/폐수주입량비가 20 이하에서 비극성 화학물질의 경우 95%이상, 비극성 화학물에서는 80% 이상 제거될 수 있다. 폐타이어 박편에서는 활성탄과 달리 휘발가스내의 습도에 대한 영향은 크지않았다. 본 연구결과 폐타이어 박편을 층으로 하여 하수처리장의 폭기조, 침사지 또는 수로에 설치하므로서 휘발성 유해물질의 제거에 효율적으로 적용할 수 있다. The objectives of this research were to determine the organic compound sorption capacity of ground tires, to assess the effects of humidity and biomass growth on the surface of ground tires on the VOCs removal efficiency, to evaluate the desorption rate, to estimate the service time at various operational conditions, and to propose potential application methods for removal of VOCs emitted from a wastewater treatment plants. The sorption capacity increased logarithmically with the increase in the octanol-water partition coefficient. The VOC removal efficience by a ground tire layer were > 95% for nonpolar compounds and > 80% for polar compounds at the Qa/Qw ratio between 5 and 10. A biomass grown ground tire layer removal approximately 2 to 20% less VOCs in the off-gas than a wetted ground tire layer. The Qa/Qw ratio affected the off-gas VOC removal effciences by 25 to 40% for polar compounds but slightly for nonpolar compounds. The service times for a 30cm thick ground tire layer with the Qa/Qw ratio of 10 were all less than three weeks for the organic compounds tested and thus, the sorbent utilization rate was low at this ratio. However, when the ratio was decreased to 5, the service times almost doubled.

      • 분뇨및 정화조 폐액과 하수의 혼합처리

        The septage was relatively easily settled and thickened, and a septage addition to the primary settling tank would not greatly affect the treatment efficiency. However, the nightsoil showed poor settling characteristics, and resulted in an increment of organic loading to secondary treatment facilities. Due to the different characteristics of septage and nightsoil, a proper treatment scheme should be developed based on the laboratory experiment before the septage and nightsoil are added to the sewage treatment plants. The combined mixture of sewagee with septage and/or nightsoil was successfully treated at a low temperature of 5℃. more the 80% of BOD and 76% of SS removal efficiencies were observed at the laboratory as well as field applications. The sludge production rate was about 0.6kg VSS per BOD removed. A grit removal process would be required for the successful treatment of nightsoil and septage. Thus, degritted septage and nightsoil can be added not only in front of the grit chamber but to the primary settling tank.
