This paper is an analysis, based on the theoretical framework of Relevance Theory by Sperber and Wilson, of English-Korean translation focusing on the song, 'Do-Re-Mi' from the movie, The Sound of Music (1965). It advocates relevance-oriented research in investigating characteristics of problem solving and decision making processes in translating English films into Korean. Film translation is an act of communication between screenwriters and the target audience. Film translators should reveal the screenwriter's intention as much as possible so that the target viewers can easily understand the genuine meaning of the content with minimal processing effort. In this study, three translated versions of the song, 'Do-Re-Mi' are chosen: TT1, TT2 and TT3. Each version is translated by different translators. Through comparison and analysis, it is shown through Relevance Theory that TT1 and TT2 are translated more adequately than TT3. In the movie, Maria intends to teach the basic musical notes to children effectively by using easy vocabulary from real life. Her intention is translated more accurately and smoothly in TT1 and TT2 rather than in TT3. This paper shows conclusively that optimal relevance is achieved only when appropriate translation strategies are applied.

Structures on flat plate slab using Eco lightweight concrete have economic advantages like to reduce costs by reducing the dead load of structure. Flat plate slab is very useful structural system. However flat plate have character of brittle failure in slab-column connections. So these objectives of study are to examine that variables have influence on the punching shear of flat plate slab-column connections using Eco lightweight concrete. In general, punching shear of flat plate is depending on the compressive strength of concrete, effective depth of slab and perimeter of critical section. In the test, specimens with variables were tested to investigate punching shear behavior and determine their punching shear capacity.
신체접촉놀이 활동이 유아의 정서지능 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 신체접촉놀이 활동이 유아의 정서지능 및 친사회적행동에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 만 5세 유아 40명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 유아들은 신체접촉 놀이 활동을 적용한 실험집단에 20명, 적용하지 않은 통제집단에 20명을 배정하고, 이들의 정서지능과 친사회적행동을 비교 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 김경희(1998)가 개발한 교사용 유아정서지능 평정척도와 김영옥(2003)이 개발한 유아 친사회적 행동 평가척도(PBSYC)를 사용하였다. 연구결과 신체접촉놀이 경험이 유아의 정서지능 하위구성요소인 타인정서인식 및 배려, 자기정서이용, 감정조절, 교사관계, 또래관계에 친사회적행동 하위요소인 지도성, 도움주기, 주도적 배려, 나누기, 감정조절에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of physical contact play on the emotional intelligence and pro-social behavior of young children For this purpose, 40 5-year old young children were selected as subjects for this research. Of these young children, 20 were assigned to an experimental group, to which physical contact play was used, and the other 20 were assigned to a controlled group, in which the physical play activities were notused. Furthermore, a comparison and analysis were conducted of the subject` s emotional intelligence and pro-social behaviors. For the purposes of analysis, the rating scale of preschool children` s emotional intelligence for teachers developed by Kim(1998) and the pro-social behavior scale for young children(PBSYC) by Kim(2003) are used. The study results revealed that young children` s physical contact play experiences affected the sub-elements of young children` s emotional intelligence, including others` emotions, use of their own emotion, adjustment of sentiments, relations with their teachers, and relations with their peers and also had positive effects on the sub-elements of young children` s pro-social behaviors including leadership, helping others, initiative considerations, sharing, and adjustment of sentiments.

This study was done on purpose to see how the aspects of self-esteem are different depending on the life cycle divided into three generations, young adulthood, middle age, old age and identify the factors that affect it and finally to find the practical implication for improving self-esteem which affects the mental health and human adaptation. The subjects of this study were youth, middle-aged and older who live in the metropolitan area, The survey was carried out by extracting them by intentional sampling. The study results showed that the level of self-esteem varies compared to youth and elderly, middle aged has a high degree of self-esteem. Young, middle-aged, and older models were all significant in life-cycle-specific regression analysis. The factors which affect their own self-esteem were different; housing owned and negative emotions for youth, marital status, monthly income, negative emotions and social support for middle-aged and negative emotions and social support for elderly. Through the present results of the study, we could seek practical implications for improving self-esteem based on life cycle. 본 연구는 성인기를 청년, 중년, 노년 3세대로 나누어 자아존중감에 대해 살펴보고 생애주기별로 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 인간의 적응과 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 자아존중감 향상을 위한 실천적 함의를 찾아보고자 하는 목적에서 이루어졌다. 연구대상은 수도권에 거주하는 청년, 중년, 노년층으로 하였으며 이들을 의도적 표집에 의해 추출하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 자아존중감 정도는 생애주기별로 다르며, 중년층이 청년, 노년층에 비해 자아존중감 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 생애주기별 회귀분석결과 청년, 중년, 노년층 모델 모두 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 청년층의 경우 주거소유, 부정적 정서가 중년층의 경우 결혼여부, 월수입, 부정적 정서, 사회적지지가 노인층의 경우에는 부정적 정서, 사회적지지가 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 생애주기별 자아존중감 향상을 위한 실천적 함의를 찾아보았다.
