        簡論石刻文獻中通用量詞“具”、“副”的 興替及其原因 : 兼談中古石刻文獻在漢語量詞研究上的價值

        In this paper, Our research focuses on the generic referring quantifiers "ju"&"fu" of the stone inscription.Compared with the stone inscription of Sui, Tang and five dynasties, we can describe the evolutional track of the quantifiers "ju"&"fu". The cases of "ju" existed in the Stone Inscription in Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties are rare, but it has a broad scope of application and type utility.Moreover, It can serve as both individual quantifiers and collective quantifiers. Because of this, it’s likely to lead to semantic ambiguity. Induced by the language mechanism, "ju" used as collective quantifiers, preferred to be replaced by "fu" since Sui, Tang and five dynasties.

        “牴”組字之字際關係研究

        The meaning of the word Di Chu (抵觸) was first carried by the character Di (牴). Due to the changes in the structural features of the glyphs that represent meaning, Di (牴) changed its semantic symbol to get other glyph Di (觝). Afterwards, due to the continuous generalization of word meaning, Di (抵) is used to express the generalized meaning of Di Chu (抵觸). Through in-depth analysis, it can be seen that because they have the same phonetic symbol Di (氐), the three words Di (牴), Di (觝) and Di (抵) have the same etymological meaning contact. And then, the three words can be used interchangeably with each other. In the process of using the literature, Di (牴), Di (觝) and Di (抵) can be replaced by other different Chinese characters to express the same meaning of Di Chu (抵觸), such as Di ( ), Di ( ), Di ( ), and so on. By combing and analyzing the the relationships between this group of characters in practical use, we can see that this group of characters constitute a complete inter character relationship in practical use by changing semantic symbols, changing phonetic symbols, making errors in semantic symbols, making errors in phonetic symbols, moving the position of phonetic symbols, complicating phonetic symbols, simplifying phonetic symbols, and loaning phonetic. In the process of the evolution of Chinese characters, there will often be some changes in the shape of the characters, which brings some difficulties to our learning and research process to a certain degree. Therefore, the study of the relationships between this group of characters in practical use can provide a variety of help for the in-depth study of Chinese characters. Firstly, it can provide more abundant materials for the study of the history of Chinese characters. Then, it is beneficial to promote the process of Chinese character related research. Furthermore, it has some guiding functions for improving the collection and revision of dictionaries.

      • “帩” 組字考證

        고시 《맥상상(陌上桑)》에는 “少年見羅敷, 脫帽著帩頭(소년이 아름다운 진라부를 보게 되면, 두건을 벗어 들게 되고)”라는 구절이 있는데, 여기에 보이는 “帩頭(초두)”는 주로 남성용 두건을 말한다. 그런데 이 “帩頭”의 “帩”는 다양한 글자체로 쓰이게 되는데, “繑”, “綃”, “削”, “峭”, “俏”, “幧”, “繰”, “襙”, “幓”, “襂”, “縿”, “ ”, “ ”, “衤蕉”, “樵” 등 15 가지 이상에 이른다. 그렇다면 이처럼 다양한 글자가 호용되게 된 원인은 무엇일까? 이들 여러 가지 글자 중에서 가장 먼저 나타난 것은 “繑”자이며, 본의는 “허리끈(絝紐)”인데 나중에 인신 되어 “끝단을 묶다(繑邊)”라는 의미가 생겼다. 형성자인 “繑”에서 성부(聲符)가 교체되면서 나타난 글자가 “繰”, “綃”이다. 그리고 이것이 두건 용도로 사용되면서 형부(形符)가 교체 되어 나타난 것이 “幧”, “帩”이다. 이러한 발전 관계와 별도로 “繰”, “幧”에서 와변(訛變)된 것이 “縿”, “幓”이다. 그리고 이 두 글자에서 형부가 교체 되어 만들어진 것이 “襂”자이며, 여기에서 와변 된 것이 “襙”이다. 또 “帩”와 “幧”에서 성부를 교체한 것이 “ ”이고, 이 “ ”자에서 형부를 교체한 것이“ ”이며, 여기에서 성부를 좀더 복잡한 자형으로선택한 것이“衤蕉”이다. 그리고 “帩”의 가차자로 사용된 것이 “削”, “峭”, “俏” 등이며, “衤蕉”의 가차자가 “樵”이다. The original glyph of Qiao(帩) is Qiao(繑), and the meaning of Qiao(繑) is Qiaobian(繑邊). Qiao(帩) can use mutually with many characters, such as Qiao(繑), Qiao(繰), and so on. The meaning of these characters is related to head scarf. From the characteristics of configuration, this group of characters constitutes a system in practical use by changing phonetic symbols, changing glyph symbols, making errors in glyphs and loaning phonetic.

        The Role of Circulating Slit2, the One of the Newly Batokines, in Human Diabetes Mellitus

        Background: Slit2 is a new secreted protein from adipose tissue that improves glucose hemostasis in mice; however, there is no study about the serum levels and precise role of Slit2 in human. The aim of this study is to explore the serum level of Slit2 in human, and to identify the role of Slit2 in diabetes mellitus (DM). Methods: The participants of this study consist of 38 subjects with newly diagnosed DM, and 75 healthy subjects as a control group. Serum Slit2 levels were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Relationship between circulating Slit2 and diabetic related factors was investigated in diabetic group compared with non-diabetic group. Additionally, the correlations between the serum level of Slit2 and diverse metabolic parameters were analyzed. Results: Circulating Slit2 level was more decreased in diabetic group than in control group, but there was no significant difference statistically. Interestingly, serum levels of Slit2 were significantly negatively correlated to the serum concentrations of fasting glucose (coefficient r=–0.246, P=0.008), the serum concentrations of postprandial glucose (coefficient r=–0.233, P=0.017), and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c; coefficient r=–0.357, P<0.001). Conclusion: From our study, the first report of circulating Slit2 levels in human, circulating Slit2 level significantly negatively correlated with serum glucose and HbA1c. Our results suggest that the circulating Slit2 may play a role in maintainence of glucose homeostasis in human, even though exact contribution and mechanism are not yet known.

        Clinical Implications of Using Post-Challenge Plasma Glucose Levels for Early Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Older Individuals

        Background: The aim of this study was to explore the differences in the clinical characteristics and diagnostic rates of diabetes mellitus (DM) according to various criteria in different age groups and to evaluate the efficacy of each criterion for screening older patients. Methods: We studied 515 patients and measured the fasting plasma glucose level (FPG), 2-hour plasma glucose level after the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (2-hour postload glucose [2-h PG]), and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) for re-evaluation of hyperglycemia without a history of diabetes. Patients with newly diagnosed DM were grouped by age as younger (<65 years) or older (≥65 years). Results: Older patients had significantly lower HbA1c, FPG, and 2-h PG levels and a higher homeostatic level of pancreatic β-cell function compared with younger patients (P<0.001). The older group had the lowest diagnostic rate when using the FPG level (45.5%) and the highest diagnostic rate when using the 2-h PG level (84.6%). These results were mostly due to the higher frequency of isolated post-challenge hyperglycemia in the older patients than in the younger group (28.8% vs. 9.2%). The use of both the FPG and HbA1c levels significantly enhanced the low diagnostic power when employing only the FPG levels in the older group (71.2% vs. 45.5%). Conclusion: In the older patients, the 2-h PG level was the most accurate diagnostic criterion. When we consider the costs and convenience, a combination of the FPG and HbA1c criteria may be recommended as a screening test for DM in older people.

        Comparative Efficacy of Rosuvastatin Monotherapy and Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe Combination Therapy on Insulin Sensitivity and Vascular Inflammatory Response in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

        Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) induces endothelial dysfunction and inflammation, which are the main factors for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The present study aimed to compare the effects of rosuvastatin monotherapy and rosuvastatin/ezetimibe combination therapy on lipid profile, insulin sensitivity, and vascular inflammatory response in patients with T2DM.Methods: A total of 101 patients with T2DM and dyslipidemia were randomized to either rosuvastatin monotherapy (5 mg/day, <i>n</i>=47) or rosuvastatin/ezetimibe combination therapy (5 mg/10 mg/day, <i>n</i>=45) and treated for 12 weeks. Serum lipids, glucose, insulin, soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1), and peroxiredoxin 4 (PRDX4) levels were determined before and after 12 weeks of treatment.Results: The reduction in low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) by more than 50% from baseline after treatment was more in the combination therapy group. The serum sICAM-1 levels increased significantly in both groups, but there was no difference between the two groups. The significant changes in homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) and PRDX4 were confirmed only in the subgroup in which LDL-C was reduced by 50% or more in the combination therapy group. However, after adjusting for diabetes mellitus duration and hypertension, the changes in HOMA-IR and PRDX4 were not significant between the two groups.Conclusion: Although rosuvastatin/ezetimibe combination therapy had a greater LDL-C reduction effect than rosuvastatin monotherapy, it had no additional effects on insulin sensitivity and vascular inflammatory response. Further studies are needed on the effect of long-term treatment with ezetimibe on insulin sensitivity and vascular inflammatory response.
