기분과 행동의 계절성 변동과 Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme(ACE) 유전자 다형성

목 적:유전학에서 안지오텐신 전환 효소(Angiotensinconverting enzyme, ACE) 유전자 다형성에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 정신과 영역에서는 ACE 유전자 다형성과 우울증, 우울증 치료 반응과의 연관성 등이 보고되어왔다. ACE 유전자가 인간의 다른 행동 특성과 연관이 있을 가능성이 있으며 본 연구에서는 건강한 한국인 대학생을 대상으로 기분과 행동의 계절성 변동과 ACE 유전자 다형성 사이에 유전학적 연관성이 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법:이 연구는 297명의 의과대학 학생을 대상으로 하였으며 모든 대상자들은 주요 내과적 질환과 정신과적 질환을 가지고 있지 않았다. 대상자들에게서 ACE 유전자 다형성에 대한 유전자형 분석을 실시하였으며 계절성 양상 평가 질문지(Seasonal Pattern Assessment Questionnaire, SPAQ)를 이용하여 기분과 행동의 계절성 변동을 평가하였다. 결 과:세가지 ACE 유전자형에 따른 GSS 및 수면시간, 사회활동, 기분, 체중, 에너지 수준, 식욕의 계절성 척도를 살펴본 결과, 모든 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 겨울형 계절성군, 여름형 계절성군, 비계절성군에서 ACE 유전자형의 빈도와 대립유전자 빈도를 비교한 결과에서는 겨울형 계절성군에서 세가지 유전자형의 빈도에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다($x^2=6.79$, p=0.034). 또한 겨울형 계절성군에서 D 대립유전자를 보유한 경우(D+)와 D 대립유전자를 보유하지 않은 경우(D-)의 빈도에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다($x^2=6.59$, p=0.010;odds ratio [OR]=2.27, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.20-4.28). 결 론:이 연구결과는 ACE 유전자형이 기분과 행동의 계절성 변동과 연관되어 있을 가능성을 시사하는 것이다. Objectives: Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene polymorphism has been reported to be associated with depression and therapeutic outcome in depression. The purpose of this study was to determine whether ACE gene polymorphism is associated with seasonal variation in mood and behavior in a young Korean college student sample. Methods: 297 young Korean medical students were recruited in this study. All subjects were free of major medical and psychiatric problems. They were genotyped for the ACE gene polymorphism and evaluated the seasonal variation in mood and behavior by the Seasonality Pattern Assessment Questionnaire (SPAQ). Results: Global Seasonality Score (GSS) of SPAQ between three genotypes were not different. However, comparison of the group that showed seasonality of mood and behavior during winter with the group that did not showed seasonality indicated significant difference in genotype distribution ($x^2=6.79$, p=0.034). The D allele non-carrier (ll genotype) frequency was significantly higher in winter seasonality group than non-seasonality group ($x^2=6.59$, p=0.010;odds ratio [OR]=2.27, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.20-4.28). Conclusion: These results suggest that the ACE gene polymorphism is related to winter-type seasonality in a Korean population.

This study analyzed the factors consisting moving poster design. In order to analyze the elements of moving poster, the researcher reorganized the elements of moving posters by referring to the previous studies on printed posters, motion graphics and works of moving posters. In this study, moving poster components were classified into 'communication', 'visual and form', and 'sound'. In ‘communication’ section, moving posters had narrative elements, including scenes, because of the time and movement added by the poster's original function. The 'visual and form' section was classified into graphics, layouts, movement, and time. Graphics refered to various graphic objects constituting the screen such as photo, illustration, typography, color, diagram. Layout means screen layout, size, and orientation of the screen. Movement section was divided into ‘subject of movement’ and ‘attributes of movement’. Time was classified physical time such as playing time and subjective time felt by the audience. Also, the researcher categorized ‘sound’ as an additional section, since most moving posters did not include sound.

Molecular Cloning, Characterization, and Application of a Novel Thermostable α-Glucosidase from the Hyperthermophilic Archaeon Pyrobaculum aerophilum Strain IM2

A novel hyperthermostable α-glucosidase from the hyperthermophilic archaeon Pyrobaculum aerophilum str. IM2 (PAE1968) was successfully expressed in Escherichia coli and characterized. Recombinant PAE1968 was purified using Ni-NTA affinity chromatography to reveal a glycosidase with a predicted molecular weight (Mw) of 76 kDa. PAE1968 liberated glucose from the non-reducing ends of oligosaccharides. Multiple sequence alignment confirmed that the enzyme belonged to glycoside hydrolase (GH) family 31, and a kinetic study showed that the enzyme had a substrate preference for maltose (G2), indicating a Type-II α-glucosidase. The optimum operating conditions for the enzyme were 90℃ and pH 6.0, while the enzyme retained at least 80% of maximal activity at pH 4.5-7.5. Transglycosylation and reversion reactions of PAE1968 were of a lower magnitude than for a commercial saccharification enzyme, indicating that this enzyme can be used for glucose production in the starch industry.

고구려후 ‘騶’ 재고

In this paper, the following conclusions were reached through re-discussion on the Goguryeo marquis ‘Chu’. The Goguryeo Marquis ‘Chu’, which appears in Chinese literature such as “Han History”, is a general of Goguryeo who succeeded the status of King of Bi’ryu state Da’mul marquis in Kim Bu-sik's “Samguk Sagi”. I first compiled the achievements of Chinese scholarship on the “Border Commanderies” in the southwestern region, which was set up during the Martial emperator of Han Dyrasty period, such as ‘Four Commandments of Han’. Based on this, the ruling method implemented by the Early Han Dynasty in the southwestern Border Commandery was interpreted as an indirect ruling method, the so-called “ruling according to old customs”, delegating local tribal chiefs to ‘kings’ and ‘marquis’. As an example, we analyzed Zhang-ke Commandery Gou-ding county marquis among the Border Commanderies in the southwestern region set up during the Martial estimator of Han Dyrasty. Such an attempt is thought to be helpful in considering the governance style implemented in Xuantu Commandery in the same period. Next, a literature analysis on the relationship between Xuantu Commandery Goguryo County and Goguryeo revealed that Xuantu Commandery was also taking a kind of indirect control by delegating county marquis to Goguryeo County and recognizing him as the head of Goguryeo society. And I assumed Goguryeo county marquis iss the King of Bi'ryu state centered on Yeon'no Tribe in “Samguk Sagi”. In conclusion, Goguryeo marquis ‘Chu’ was Xuantu Commandery Goguryo County marquis during the reign of Emperor Wang-mang, and was a general Yeon’bi of the Goguryeo Kingdom with the dual status of receiving the Yeon'no Tribe(Bi'ryu state). 본고에서는 고구려후 ‘騶’에 대한 재고를 통해, 『漢書』 등 중국문헌에 등장하는 고구려후 ‘추’는고구려의 縣候로서, 곧 김부식의 『삼국사기』에 수록된 비류국왕 多勿候 송양의 지위를 계승한 고구려 장수 延丕로 파악하였다. 필자는 우선 漢四郡과 동시대 前漢 武帝시기에 설치된 서남지역 ‘邊郡’에 대한 중국학계의 연구성과를 종합해, 전한이 서남변군지역 변군에서 시행한 지배방식을 현지 부족장들을 ‘왕’이나 ‘후’ 에 위임함으로써, 이른바 ‘옛 풍속에 따라 다스리’는 일종의 간접지배방식으로 이해하고, 그 일예로 한무제 시기 설치된 서남 변군 중의 牂牁郡 句町縣의 縣候(王)에 대해 살폈다. 이러한 시도가같은 시기 동북지역 변군인 현도군에서 시행한 지배방식을 고찰하는데 많은 도움이 될 것으로사료된다. 다음으로, 현도군 고구려현과 고구려와의 관계에 관한 문헌 기록 분석을 통해, 현도군 역시 고구려현에 현후를 위임하고, 그를 고구려 사회의 수장으로 인정함으로써, 일종의 간접지배방식을 취하고 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 고구려현의 현후를 『삼국사기』에 보이는 연노부를 중심으로 한 비류국왕으로 비정하였다. 결론적으로 고구려후 ‘추’는 왕망 시기 현도군 고구려현의 현후임과 동시에 고구려 연노부(비류국) 수장이라는 이중적 신분을 가진 사람이고 고구려국 장수 延丕 일 것이라는 추론을 도출하였다.
