WSe2 nanosheets were synthesized by mechanical exfoliation via sonication of bulk WSe2 in organic solvent. The exfoliated WSe2 nanosheets were separated into two different particle size ranges, and were then irradiated by a proton beam for modification of their local structure, along with the original bulk sample. According to X?ray diffraction (XRD) and X?ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) analyses of the samples, the mechanical exfoliation reaction mainly affected the long?range order of the WSe2 samples, whereas proton beam irradiation influenced the local structure of the two?dimensional WSe2. To examine the structural dependence of exfoliated and proton?beam irradiated WSe2 in sodium ion battery (NIB) applications, charge/discharge experiments were carried out, which showed that proton beam irradiation could effectively enhance both the discharge capacity and cycling performance of the WSe2 samples. This synthetic procedure via proton beam irradiation is expected to be used for the development of new anode materials with increased energy density in NIBs.

아산호(평택호)는 1973년 농업용수 확보 및 조류 역류로 인한 염전 피해 방지를 목적으로 건설된 아산만 방조제로 인해 형성된 인공호수이다. 아산호 수계 지역은 경기도 전체 인구의 33%를 차지할 만큼 인구가 집중되어 있어 도시화 및 공업화로 인한 토지이용 고도화가 진행되었다. 또한, 최근 기후변화로 인해 호우 사상 양상이 변화함에 따라 동일한 규모의 홍수에도 재해 피해는 대형화 및 다양화되고 있다. 이에 따라 집중호우 시 유역으로부터 유입되는 유사나 유사의 표면에 흡착하여 부유 상태로 유입되는 오염물질의 양이 증가할 가능성이 높다. 특히, 아산호는 정체수역이므로 호 내에 퇴적되는 오염물질의 양이 상대적으로 많으며, 부유 상태로 유입된 오염물질은 대부분 호소 내 바닥에 퇴적되어 수질 오염을 가중하는 오염원으로 작용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 3차원 수리·수질 동역학 모델인 EFDC(Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code)를 통해 아산호의 수리 조건을 재현하였다. 이를 통해 집중호우 등 강우 사상 시 아산호에서 발생하는 부유사의 확산 및 거동을 모의하고, 부유사가 수체에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하고자 한다.

Objectives : This research aimed to verify the validities of contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture treatment in Zhenjiudacheng. Methods : We investigated contraindicated acupoints when performing needling in Zhenjiudacheng, then verified them in today's medical knowledge and clinical studies. Results : In Zhenjiudacheng, 39 acupoints - LU2, LI4, LI13, LI14, LI16, ST1, ST9, ST12, ST17, ST25, ST30, ST42, SP6, SP11, SI18, BL8, BL9, BL56, KI11, TE7, TE8, TE19, TE20, GB3, GB18, GB21, GV10, GV11, GV17, GV22, GV24, CV1, CV4, CV5, CV8, CV9, CV15, CV17 and EX-HN11 - were described to need a careful approach in acupuncture treatment and 21 acupoints among them had contraindications. Most of the contraindications can be explained based on anatomical knowledge and results of clinical studies, and acupuncture treatment at the 39 contraindicated acupoints can induce injury of tissues or organs near the acupoints. Conclusions : The contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture treatment in Zhenjiudacheng seem to have been classified based on the adverse events experienced by doctors at that time. Therefore careful acupuncture treatment at these acupoints is needed to avoid injury to tissue or organs.

Background/Aims: Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) often. However, the disease course of patients with both IBD and AS is not well understood. This study aims to evaluate the effect of concomitant AS on IBD outcomes. Methods: Among the 4,722 patients with IBD who were treated in 3 academic hospitals from 2004 to 2021, 55 were also diagnosed with AS (IBD-AS group). Based on patients’ electronic medical records, the outcomes of IBD in IBD-AS group and IBD group without AS (IBD-only group) were appraised. Results: The proportion of patients treated with biologics or small molecule therapies was significantly higher in IBD-AS group than the proportion in IBD-only group (27.3% vs. 12.7%, P=0.036). Patients with both ulcerative colitis and AS had a significantly higher risk of biologics or small molecule therapies than patients with only ulcerative colitis (P<0.001). For univariable logistic regression, biologics or small molecule therapies were associated with concomitant AS (odds ratio, 4.099; 95% confidence interval, 1.863–9.021; P<0.001) and Crohn’s disease (odds ratio, 3.552; 95% confidence interval, 1.590–7.934; P=0.002). Conclusions: Concomitant AS is associated with the high possibility of biologics or small molecule therapies for IBD. IBD patients who also had AS may need more careful examination and active treatment to alleviate the severity of IBD.
