        지역연계를 바탕으로 한 학교교육지원 : 일본의 학교지원지역본부와 학교볼런티어 프로그램을 중심으로

        이 연구는 학교의 다양한 교육경험의 창출과 지역평생교육 성과의 활용이라는 과제를 충족하며 양자의 교육기능을 높이는 교육전략을 모색하기 위하여 추진되었다. 이를 위하여 학교지원볼런티어를 매개로 하여 학교교육 기능을 제고하는 일본의 학교지원지역본부사업이라는 정책 사례를 분석하였다. 분석에서는 사업보고서와 지역실천사례보고서를 토대로 하여 학교지원볼런티어를 통하여 추진한 교육지원의 특징을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 학교지원지역본부사업은, 학교와 지역의 교육요구를 연결하는 전문코디네이터, 교육경험의 선정 및 창출을 위한 협의회, 그리고 이들의 활동 공간의 지원기반 위에 추진되었다. 둘째, 이 사업을 통하여 학교에서는 학생들의 학력과 교사의 교육수월성이 증가하여 공식적 교육과정이 보완되고 커뮤니케이션 능력·사회성의 발달과 같은 잠재적 교육과정에 대한 효과도 나타났다. 셋째, 이 사업을 통하여 지역민들이 학교교육지원에 참여하여 지역단위의 공육의 문화가 형성되었다. 지역평생교육에서는 학교교육을 위하여 학습한다고 하는 평생교육과 학교교육간의 교육경험의 순환기반이 마련되었다. 이와 같은 일본사례의 특징은, 학교교육과정의 보완과 지역평생교육의 활성화를 위하여 우리사회에서도 주목할 시사점으로서 의의를 가진다. This paper aims to explore educational strategies that can promote diverse experiences in school education, encourage local residents to engage in lifelong learning through community education, harness their potential through the endeavor, and strengthen the effectiveness of both school and community education systems. To this end, this paper draws on the case study of Japan's initiatives to enhance the capacities of school and lifelong community education through implementing the School Volunteer Program. The case analysis examines the project reports of Japan's School Support Local Headquarters and the best practices of their policy implementation across communities, thus to identify the features and performance of educational support via the School Volunteer Program. The findings of the analysis are as follows. First, the projects of Japan's School Support Local Headquarters have been initiated based on the government funding for professional coordinators linking educational demands of schools and communities, councils selecting and nurturing educational experiences, and their space of activities. Second, the projects have helped students achieve higher academic performance and teachers deliver more effective instruction in school education, thus complementing formal curricula and leading to the benefits of a latent curriculum such as enhanced communication and social skills. Third, the projects have instilled the culture of shared education across communities by encouraging local residents to work together to support school education. In return, the culture has highlighted lifelong community education as a learning venue for residents to teach at school, creating a virtuous circle of educational experiences between lifelong learning and school education. As outlined, Japan's initiatives present significant implications for Korean society to promote lifelong community education and complement school curricula.

        Effectiveness of Exercise Intervention in Reducing Body Weight and Glycosylated Hemoglobin Levels in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Korea: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

        Background: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of exercise intervention in reducing body weight and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Korea. Methods: Cochrane, PubMed, Embase, KoreaMed, KMbase, NDSL, KCI, RISS, and DBpia databases were used to search randomized controlled trials and controlled clinical trials that compared exercise with non-exercise intervention among patients with non-insulin-treated T2DM in Korea. The effectiveness of exercise intervention was estimated by the mean difference in body weight changes and HbA1c level. Weighted mean difference (WMD) with its corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) was used as the effect size. The pooled mean differences of outcomes were calculated using a random-effects model. Results: We identified 7,692 studies through literature search and selected 23 articles (723 participants). Compared with the control group, exercise intervention (17 studies) was associated with a significant decline in HbA1c level (WMD, –0.58%; 95% CI, –0.89 to –0.27; I2=73%). Although no significant effectiveness on body weight was observed, eight aerobic training studies showed a significant reduction in body weight (WMD, –2.25 kg; 95% CI, –4.36 to –0.13; I2=17%) in the subgroup analysis. Conclusion: Exercise significantly improves glycemic control; however, it does not significantly reduce body weight. Aerobic training can be beneficial for patients with non-insulin-treated T2DM in Korea.

        초파리 유전 실험 결과 해석에서 보인 중학교 과학영재들의 설명모형 탐색

        The purpose of this study is to explore explanatory models of science-gifted middle school students for interpreting data from Drosophila breeding experiments. Small group discussions of science-gifted students were recorded and transcribed. The results of this study reveal that the students showed four types of alternative explanatory models that consisted of (1) a list of fragmented genetic conceptions, (2) conceptions of genes without chromosomes, (3) conceptions of genes and chromosomes without gene loci, and (4) conceptions of the relation between genes and chromosomes without differentiating sex chromosomes from autosomal ones. Conceptual scheme of Gene-Chromosome Explanatory Model was drawn based on the traits of students' alternative explanatory models. It can be used to identify various alternative models that students may have while learning genetics, and help students to develop scientific models.

        Survey on Industrial Wireless Network Technologies for Smart Factory

        Recently, smart factories are being developed in and around advanced countries. With the rapid progress of ICT, the studies on new manufacturing systems using ICT are being carried out actively. Therefore, it needs to develop a technology to handle flexibly and intelligently complex systems such as distributed control of industrial process as well as factory automation. Accordingly, the need to develop an industrial network technology for real-time factory monitoring & controlling and connecting the inside and outside of a factory is also growing. In this study, based on the analysis of the global trend of smart factory and standardization of industrial network and the survey on future development of smart factory and its expected effects, we propose the direction of future research on industrial network.

        NFATC3–PLA2G15 Fusion Transcript Identified by RNA Sequencing Promotes Tumor Invasion and Proliferation in Colorectal Cancer Cell Lines

        Purpose This study was designed to identify novel fusion transcripts (FTs) and their functional significance in colorectal cancer (CRC) lines. Materials and Methods We performed paired-end RNA sequencing of 28 CRC cell lines. FT candidates were identified using TopHat-fusion, ChimeraScan, and FusionMap tools and further experimental validation was conducted through reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequencing. FT was depleted in human CRC line and the effects on cell proliferation, cell migration, and cell invasion were analyzed. Results One thousand three hundred eighty FT candidates were detected through bioinformatics filtering. We selected six candidate FTs, including four inter-chromosomal and two intrachromosomal FTs and each FT was found in at least one of the 28 cell lines. Moreover, when we tested 19 pairs of CRC tumor and adjacent normal tissue samples, NFATC3– PLA2G15 FT was found in two. Knockdown of NFATC3–PLA2G15 using siRNA reduced mRNA expression of epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers such as vimentin, twist, and fibronectin and increased mesenchymal–epithelial transition markers of E-cadherin, claudin-1, and FOXC2 in colo-320 cell line harboring NFATC3–PLA2G15 FT. The NFATC3–PLA2G15 knockdown also inhibited invasion, colony formation capacity, and cell proliferation. Conclusion These results suggest that that NFATC3–PLA2G15 FTs may contribute to tumor progression by enhancing invasion by EMT and proliferation.

        작은도서관의 학습창조에 관한 사례연구

        The purpose of this study was to explore how to overcome the problem of duplication ofsimilar programs in lifelong education environments and to evaluate independent resources andeducational missions of institutions. For this purpose, case study on library with outstandingachievements was conducted. As a result, the characteristics of unique learning and the possibilityof learning creation in a small library that has been growing in the local community in recentyears were explored. This study analyzed the program contents of the small library in Soksugol,and reviewed the educational policy and practice of its planners. As a result, this small libraryprovides the contextual learning that is suited to the needs of the community by utilizing theunique resources of the library's collection and its ability to promote literacy. Specifically, byutilizing the unique resources of books as a means of creating learning for small libraries, ‛valueexpansion' such as the growth of child learners, strengthening guidance capacity among adultlearners, and solidifying the culture of local community was realized.
