Calixarene류 Ionophore를 이용한 아미노산 유도체의 액체막을 통한 수송

Ethoxycarbonylmethyl and ethoxyethyl derivatives of calix[8]arene were synthesized and examined as carriers for amino acid derivatives in a chlororm liquid membrane system. They showed selective and efficient transport of ammonium cations of ester derivative of various amino acids. Generally ethoxycarbonylmethyl deribatibe exhibited more pronounced transport efficiency than ethoxyethyl derivative. This result strongly suggested that the estercarbonyl oxygen atom play an important role in complexation and transport of amino acid derivatives. The transport property was also found to depend on hydrophobicity of guest cation such that hydrophobic phenylalanine and tryptophan esters were much more efficiently transported than glycine and alanine ester. Addied alkali metal cation exhibited a large effect on transport "selectivity" and "efficiency" and the feature was possibly explained in terms of the interaction between the metal cations and the calixarene derivatives.
Kemp's triacid의 crown ether 유도체의 분자인식에 관한 컴퓨터 모의실험

Crown ether derivatives of Kemp's triacid can make a complex with variety of alkali metal ions. It has useful properties for molecular recognition. In this study we used a computer simulation to study the actions of these compounds. We have adapted ?? force field to express the energy of the system. The local charges used to calculate electrostatic energy of the system. The local charges used to calculate electrostatic energy term in ?? were estimated using AM1 semi-empirical quantum mechanics. We performed molecular dynamics method to simulate the behavior of these compounds.
티올-이황화물 산화환원쌍을 이용한 새로운 미셀과 Vesicle 간의 가역적 상호변환

A series of S-protected thiol containing surfactants were prepared by the reaction of long chain aliphatic amines (C?, C?, and C?) with S-acetylmercaptosuccinic anhydride, and were subsequently hydrolyzed and oxidized by iodine to their corresponding dialkyl disulfides. Thus obtained disulfide surfactants gave clear or slightly turbid solutions of vesicle upon treatment with ultrasonication. Electron microscopy and entrapment of [?C] sucrose indicated that the vesicles were composed of closed bilayer structures having diameters of upto 1200Å with bilayer thickness of about 100Å. Turbidity measurements and differential scanning calorimetry further confirmed the stable vesicular structure of these aqueous aggre gates by exhibiting prominent thermal transition behavior. Selective destruction of the vesicles was successfully performed by the reductive cleavage of the double tailed disulfide to monoalkyl thiol surfactants via mercaptoethanol under mild conditon.
캘릭스아렌류 Ionophore의 합성과 부틸 암모늄 및 금속 이온에 대한 이온 결합 특성

p-tert-Butylcalix[6]arene has been converted into polyfunctional alkyl-p-tert-butylcalix[6]arene esters and amides in a search for selective host toward butylammonium and metal cations. The conformational behaviors of calix[6]arene ester and calix[4]arene amide were investigated by means of temperature-dependent. ¹H NMR spectroscopy. Extraction studies with butylammonium picrates and metal picrates from aqueous solution into dichloromethane were used to assess the ionophoric activity of these calixarene hosts. The hexamer amides displayed moderate selectivity for n-butylammonium ion in extraction, and the sequence is in decreasing order : n-Bu<sec-Bu<tert-Bu. The hexaamides generally exhibited greater binding efficiency, although the selectivity is significantly lower than the hexaester. n-Butyl amide derivative showed poor extraction and selectivity for most guests tested because of their tendency to from intra-molecular hydrogen bonding.
