The rotational loss is one of the most important problems for the practical applications of PM synchronous motor/generator. This paper deals with the analysis on eddy current losses of permanent magnet synchronous motor with two sleeves rotor. This paper presents analytical procedures for calculation of the eddy current losses using Poynting theorem. In order to calculate eddy current, this paper derives analytical solutions by the magnetic vector potential, and a two-dimentional (2-D) cylindrical coordinate system, and analytical result with eddy current density obtained from space harmonic method, and compare result of finite element method (FEM).
손실을 고려한 영구자석형 풍력발전기의 성능 특성 해석 및 실험적 검증

In this paper, analytical techniques for performance characteristics analysis of wind power generator with outer permanent magnet rotor are proposed. Furthermore, the proposed analytical techniques are validated by performance experiments of the manufactured generator. First of all, characteristic equations of losses such as copper loss, core loss are derived. Using the derived loss characteristic equations and equivalent circuit method, constant load and constant speed characteristics of wind power generator are analyzed. And then, to analyze performance of wind power system according to wind speed, d-q analysis model considering wind turbine characteristics is proposed. Finally, the obtained performance characteristics results are validated in comparison with those by experiments.

This paper deals with characteristic analysis of linear oscillatory actuator (LOA) considering resonance frequency of spring. And then, this paper is derived by theoretical resonance frequency and simulation algorithm obtained from motion equation and voltage equation after calculating control parameter such as back-emf and thurst constant. Also, this paper is performed by analysis of current and displacement versus the various values of frequency for simulation algorithm and result and is confirmed in resonance frequency for experiment. Finally, the simulations and experiments are shown in good agreement with those obtained measurements.
Edge Effect와 Goodness Factor를 고려한 직선형 유도전동기의 특성 해석

Linear Induction Motor(LIM) has the primary and the secondary with finite width, and the secondary is generally wider than primary. The consequences of this physical feature of LIM are called Edge Effect[1], Considering the Edge Effect, this paper suggests 12 models with various overhang conditions to analyze their electro-magnetic propulsion force and goodness factor for each model. This paper analytically derives equivalent circuit parameters and compares the propulsion force results by means of analytical method and 3D finite element method(FEM) to manufacture Arc Type LIM considering Goodness Factor, which is a convenient measure for assessing the quality of LIM and a useful index in preliminary designs [1][2]. Finally, the experimental results of the manufactured LIM are offered to demonstrate the validity of the analysis.

This paper deals with parameter deduction of bread shape permanent magnet motor. To analyze the magnetic field distribution and estimate the electrical parameters such as back emf constant, inductance and torque constant, multi-layer analysis based on space harmonics method is employed. The predicted results are validated extensively by non-linear finite element(FE) analysis and experiment results.

LIM has transverse edge effect by secondary structure causing the variation of equivalent circuit parameters, so 3D FEM must be applied for accurate analysis. This results long analysis time, which is not suitable for its design and characteristic analysis. To overcome the disadvantage, this paper applied analytical method to analyze efficiency characteristic. To derive electromagnetic propulsion force, the electromagnetic field is illustrated, and equivalent circuit method is applied to obtain equivalent circuit parameters.

The axial flux machine has higher power density than conventional radial flux machine, so it is widely applied to various industrial area, for instance, low speed wind power generator. This paper deals with the performance characteristic of axial flux machine according to magnetizing pattern. For the conventional radial flux machine, 2D finite element method (FEM) is generally applied, but axial flux machine has to employ 3D FEM with long analysis time due to its own structural characteristic. This paper introduces the analytical method to analyze its characteristic to overcome the disadvantage of 3D FEM, and performs the comparative analysis on two types of magnetizing patterns, which are vertical and Halbach patterns.

This paper deals with efficiency characteristics analysis of wind power generator with outer permanent magnet rotor according to load condition. The analyzed results are compared with experimental results, and it demonstrates the validity of the proposed analysis method. From the derived analysis results, this paper suggests the necessity of performance analysis considering load conditions for the initial design of PM generator.

In general, the faults of induction motor can be distinguished by three part. They are emerged in stator, bearing and rotor. This paper deals with the rotor bar fault, parallel disalignment and their complex faluts detection of induction motor with the analysis on the current harmonics and torque ripple. By means of induction motor faults, the current waveform varies with harmonics, so several fault conditions are assumed, and they are compared and analyzed by electromagnetic field analysis using finite element method (FEM).
