This report is about a case of monocular partial oculomotor nerve palsy in a patient with midbrain hemorrhage. The patient developed diplopia while driving. The Brain MRI film demonstrated a hemorrhage in the right midbrain and left corona radiata and microbleedings in both cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, basal ganglia, midbrain, pons. We used Korean medicine treatment modalities including acupuncture, electroacupuncture, pharmacoacupuncture and herb medicines. As a result, limitation of upward gaze was recovered to about 90% of normal range.

Here we report a case of a patient with Raynaud phenomenon due to Buerger’s disease to present the curative effects of herbal medicine in Buerger’s disease. The patient presented with pain, redness, and cyanosis of hands and feet. We used Korean medicine treatment modalities including acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicines. We observed changes in symptoms through digital infrared thermographic imaging, taking photos of both hands and feet. After treatment, the symptoms of pain, redness, and cyanosis of both hands and feet were decreased and digital infrared thermographic imaging proved a rise in temperature of fingers and toes.

Drone and sensor technologies are enabling digitalization of agricultural crop's growth information and accelerating the development of the precision agriculture. These technologies could be able to assess damage of crops when natural disaster occurs, and contribute to the scientification of the crop insurance assessment method, which is being conducted through field survey. This study was aimed to calculate lodged damage rate from the vegetation indices extracted by drone based RGB images for soybean. Support Vector Classifier (SVC) models were considered by adding vegetation indices to the Crop Surface Model (CSM) based lodged damage rate. Visible Atmospherically Resistant Index (VARI) and Green Red Vegetation Index (GRVI) based lodged damage rate classification were shown the highest accuracy score as 0.709 and 0.705 each. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that drone based RGB images can be used as a useful tool for estimating the rate of lodged damage. The result acquired from this study can be used to the satellite imagery like Sentinel-2 and RapidEye when the damages from the natural disasters occurred.

Objectives : This study was designed to analyze the characteristic of heart rate variability(HRV) changes between Deficiency Pattern and Excess Pattern in Stroke Patients admitted to the hospital. Methods : We measured heart rate variability of stroke patients who were admitted to the Department of Korean Internal medicine, Stroke and Neurological Disorders Center from February 1, 2015 to May 30, 2016. We recruited a total of 28 stroke patients and heart rate variability tests were performed on the first day of admission, 2weeks after admission, and 4 weeks after admission. Results : VLF and LF/HF ratio significantly increased over time in Deficiency Pattern group compared with those in the Excess Pattern group. Conclusions : This results suggest that the parasympathetic function of Deficiency Pattern group is lower than that of the Excess Pattern group, resulting in imbalance of the autonomic nervous system.
OpenGeoSys를 이용한 해안 지역에서의 농업용 관정 이용가능성 평가

국내 농⋅어업용 지하수 이용량은 연간 총 이용량의 53%를 차지하며, 지속 증가 추세에 있다. 그러나, 해안 경계면에 인접한 농업용 지하수는 해수 침투로 인해 이용 가능량에 영향을 미친다. 따라서, 본 연구는 수치 모의를 이용하여 해안 경계면에서 농업용 지하수 이용 가능량을 파악하기 위해 관정 설치 위치와 심도를 고려하여 해수 침투에 따른 이용 가능량을 산정하고자 한다. 모의 결과, 해안 경계면으로부터 관정 설치 수평거리의 증가는 관정 설치 심도의 조절보다 침투 염분 농도를 약 20% 감소시키는 것이 확인되었다. 이러한 연구는 향후 해안지역에서 농업용 관정 설치 시 활용할 수 있는 보조 자료로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The use of groundwater for agriculture and fisheries in South Korea accounts for 53% of the total annual usage and is on the rise. However, the amount of agricultural groundwater available near coastal boundaries is affected by seawater intrusion. Therefore, this study uses numerical simulations to estimate the available amount of agricultural groundwater near coastal boundaries, considering the location and depth of well installations. Increasing the horizontal distance of the well installation from the coastal boundary was demonstrated to reduce salinity intrusion concentration by approximately 20% more than adjusting the depth of well installation. This research is expected to serve as supplementary material that can be utilized when installing agricultural wells in coastal areas in the future.
