Earthquakes of M5.1, M5.8 and M4.5 occurred in September 12 and 19 respectively in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk Province. Theses earthquakes inflated fears of people and highlighted necessity of detailed countermeasures because we have considered our country is safe to earthquakes. In the meanwhile, earthquake also impacts groundwater and thus it was recently reported that the Gyeongju Earthquakes affected groundwater there. This study evaluates daily groundwater data collected from five national groundwater monitoring stations (Geoncheon, Sannae, Oedong, Yangbuksin, Cheonbuk) in Gyeongju. The analysis revealed that only groundwater level of bedrock monitoring well hosted in andesite exhibited earthquake impact while no wells in the other four stations hosted in sedimentary rocks showed substantial responses to the earthquakes. This may be derived from the difference of seismic velocity of hosting rocks as well as epicenter distance. Special interest on groundwater monitoring is required to predict earthquakes as precursory phenomena.
국가 지하수관측소 지하수위, 전기전도도 및 수온자료에 대한 모수적 및 비모수적 변동 경향성 분석

Trends of variation in groundwater levels, electrical conductivities and water temperatures obtained from the national groundwater monitoring stations (95 shallow and 169 deep wells) of Korea were evaluated. For the analysis, both parametric (linear regression) and non-parametric (Mann-Kendall test, Sen's test) methods were adopted. Results of linear regression analysis indicated that about 50% of the monitoring wells showed increasing trends of groundwater levels, electrical conductivities, and water temperatures and the others showed decreasing trends. However, the non-parametric analyses with monthly median values revealed that $14.8{\sim}20.0%$ of water levels were decreased, $24.2{\sim}36.9%$ of electrical conductivities were increased, and $27.4{\sim}32.5%$ of water temperatures were increased at a confidence level of 99%. Highly proportions of increasing or decreasing trends were unexpected and they resulted from the relatively short term of data collection (maximum 6 years). Meanwhile, the investigation of groundwater around the national groundwater monitoring stations showed that the decreasing or increasing trends of water levels, electrical conductivities, themselves, didn't indicate directly groundwater hazards such as groundwater depletion or groundwater contamination. Both the values and variation rates (slopes) of water level, electrical conductivity and temperature in the longer period are considered simultaneously. This study is the first comprehensive work in analyzing trends of groundwater data obtained from the national groundwater monitoring stations. Based on this study, the periodical and regular analysis of groundwater data is essentially required to grasp the overall variational trend of groundwater resources in the country. 본 연구에서는 국가 지하수관측소에서 획득한 지하수위, 전기전도도 및 수온 관측자료에 대해 모수 및 비모수 경향 분석을 실시하였다. 분석대상은 2003년까지 3년 이상 모니터링을 실시하고 있는 관측소의 지하수 자료이며, 이에는 충적관측정 95개소와 암반관측정 169개소가 해당된다. 모수분석으로 일평균 및 월중앙값에 대해 선형회귀분석을, 그리고 비모수분석으로 월중앙값에 대해 Mann-Kendall test 및 Sen's test를 적용하였다. 선형회귀분석을 통해서는 약50%의 관측정에서 수위, 전기전도도 및 수온이 증가경향을 나타내었고 나머지 절반은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 월중앙값을 이용한 비모수 경향분석에서는 99% 신뢰수준에서 지하수위는 $14.8{\sim}20.0%$가 감소경향으로 나타났고, 전기전도도는 $24.2{\sim}36.9%$가 증가경향을 보였으며, 수온의 경우에는 $27.4{\sim}32.5%$가 증가경향을 보였다. 높은 비율의 관측정에서 증가 혹은 감소의 경향성을 보이는 것은 분석대상 기간이 상대적으로 짧은(최장 6년) 것에 기인한 결과일 수 있다. 한편 현장조사를 실시하여 평가한 결과에서 나타난 지하수위 혹은 전기전도도의 감소 혹은 증가경향 자체가 직접적인 지하수 장해를 의미하지는 않는다. 결국 장기적인 경향성과 더불어 해당 인자의 값 자체 및 감소율을 고려하여야 한다. 본 연구는 국가 지하수관측소 자동 측정자료에 대한 최초의 전면적인 경향분석 결과이다. 이번 연구사례를 토대로 국내 지하수 자원의 전체적인 변동상황을 파악하기 위해서는 정기적인 경향분석을 수행할 필요가 있다.
철학부(哲學部) : 『장자(莊子)』 「경상초(庚桑楚)」편에 드러난 양생론

本論文, 旨在要通過考察『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇之理論體系, 探討其中養生思想。壹般來講, 養生思想含有神秘註意傾向, 因而我們抉不能探索其思想之合理因素。筆者要解抉此疑團, 細거『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇而進行分析, 試圖發明先秦道家所論的養生思想之內涵。筆者進行壹番考察之後, 得出如下結論。首先, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇要將道和德개念給予新的含義, 而將此개念視爲生命的本質。從此, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇將道和德개念視爲養生之理論根據而重新地建構養生理論體系。其次, 在具體的養生方法上, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇揭示到了體道的方法, 最後提到了理想人格至人而仔細地說明其養生思想的特征。據此來看, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇的養生思想含有體道和養生之理論傾向, 這種觀點類似於『莊子』內篇所論的養生思想。然而, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇所揭示的養生思想具有如下獨特之理論特點: 第壹、『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇的養生思想積極地容納和發展『莊子』內篇的養生思想。第二、從形上學的角度來看, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇探索養生思想的理論根據而强調道개念的作用。第三、從思想史的發展來看, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇養生思想就引起了此後養生理論的發展。所以, 『莊子』「庚桑楚」篇之養生理論, 對於向後中國所發展的養生論體系, 就産生了重大的影響。
내소화중탕가미방(內消和中湯加味方)이 아토피피부염 환아의 혈중 Cytokine 분비에 미치는 영향

Objective : Based on the Th1/Th2 inbalance hypothesis, we aimed to evaluate the effects of NaesowhajungtongGamibang on serum $interferon{\gamma}$, interleukin-4, interleukin-5, of 19 patients with atopic dermatitis. Materials & Methods: The subjects are consisted of 19 patients with atopic dermatitis, and had been treated with NaesowhajungtongGamibang decoction for 45 days. Serum $IFN-{\gamma}$, IL-4, IL-5 level were checked before and 45 days after treatments. Results: The serum $IFN-{\gamma}$, IL-5, level in patients with atopic dermatitis were slightly decreased compared with normal control group, but had no statistical significance. The serum IL-4, level in patients with atopic dermatitis was slightly increased compared with normal control group, but had no statistical significance. After treatment with NaesowhajungtongGamibang for 45 days, serum $IFN-{\gamma}$, IL-5, level were increased, but had no statistical significance. After treatment with NaesowhajungtongGamibang for 45 days, serum IL-4 level were decreased, but had no statistical significance. Conclusion: This study shows that NaesowhajungtongGamibang decoction had effects were not correspond with Th1/Th2 inbalance hypothesis. Therefore study for other mechanism of NaesowhajungtongGamibang on atopic dermatitis is required.
항해단(沆瀣丹)이 아토피 피부염 환자 단핵세포의 Cytokine 분비능에 미치는 영향

Objetives The late research tendency on atopic dermatitis is mainly focused on the experiment of unbalance of cytokine released from T cell subtype. Merhods As there's no experiment with herbal medicine using Hanghaedan(HHD), we isolated and cultured monocytes of atopic dermatitis pateints (AD) peripheral blood, for knowing the influence of HHD on the secretory function of IL-4, IL-5, $IFN-{\gamma}$. Results 1. In AD group, HHD exhibits statistically significant inhibitory effect on IL-4(p<0.05). 2. In AD group, HHD exhibits statistically significant inhibitory effect on IL-5(p<0.05). 3. In AD group, HHD exhibits statistically significant inhibitory effect on $IFN-{\gamma}$ (p<0.01). 4. Sample group comparing with the cytokine concentration rate value of AD patients and that of NAD patients IL-4 of AD patients exhibits statistically significant decrease(p<0.05). 5. In AD group, there is no significant relation between serum IgE and cytokines. 6. In AD group, there is no significant relation between total eosinophil and IL-5. Conclusions Effects of Hanghaedan on the cytokine(IL-4, IL-5, $IFN-{\gamma}$) secretory function of monocytes of atopic dermatitis patients is recognized.
