Numerical simulations are conducted for the design of a micro thermal mass air flow sensor (MAFS), which consists of a microfabricated heater and thermopiles on the silicon-nitride (Si3N4) thin membrane structure. It is important to find the proper locations of these thermal elements in the design of MAFS with improved sensitivity. Three heating modes of the micro-heater are considered: constant temperature, constant power and heating pulses. The analyses are focused on the membrane temperature profile near the sensing section. Considered are the practical flow velocities, ranging from 3 m/s to 35 m/s, and the corresponding Reynolds numbers from 1000 to 10000. The results show that one of optimum sensing locations is about 100 away from the microheater. It is concluded that the heating mode and configurations of thermal elements are the main factors for the MAFS with higher sensitivity.

본 연구에서는 실험실에서 조립한 회분식수소 첨가반응 장치를 사용하여 균질한 촉매와 원료하에서 콩기름의 수소첨가반응을 특성짓는 반응속도, 선택도비, 트란스 이성질체의 생성에 미치는 공정 변수(교반속도, 촉매농도, 반응온도, 반응압력)의 영향을 조사함으로써, 각각의 바라는 생성물을 생성시키기 위한 일련의 반응조건들을 선택하는데에 지침이 되는 기본자료를 제시하였다. 또한 콩기름의 수소첨가 공정에서 문제가 되고 있는 반응생성물로부터의 닉켈촉매 입자들을 제거하는데 Gulftronic 분리기의 도입 타당성 여부를 실험실용 분리기를 사용하여 시험한 결과, 이 분리기는 조절, 운전, 분리성능면에 있어서 종래의 여과방법보다 훨씬 더 효율적이라고 결론지울 수 있었다. In this study, we presented the basic data for a guide to the selection of a set of conditions to give each desired products by investigating the effects of such process variables as agitation rate, catalyst concentration, temperature and pressure on the reaction rate, selectivity ratio and trans-isomer formation which characterize the hydrogenation of soybean oil under consistent catalyst and feeds. On the other hand, catalyst separation from the oil after the reaction was attempted with a laboratory scale Gulftronic separator and the separator was highly satisfactory in terms of control, operation, and efficiency.

Background: Dendritic cell (DC)-based vaccines are currently being evaluated as a novel strategy for tumor vaccination and immunotherapy. However, inducing long-term regression in established tumor-implanted mice is difficult. Here, we show that deoxypohophyllotoxin (DPT) induces maturation and activation of bone marrow-derived DCs via Toll-like receptor (TLR) 4 activation of MAPK and NF-κB. Methods: The phenotypic and functional maturation of DPT-treated DCs was assessed by flow cytometric analysis and cytokine production, respectively. DPT-treated DCs was also used for mixed leukocyte reaction to evaluate T cell-priming capacity and for tumor regression against melanoma. Results: DPT promoted the activation of CD8+ T cells and the Th1 immune response by inducing IL-12 production in DCs. In a B16F10 melanoma-implanted mouse model, we demonstrated that DPT-treated DCs (DPT-DCs) enhance immune priming and regression of an established tumor in vivo. Furthermore, migration of DPT-DCs to the draining lymph nodes was induced via CCR7 upregulation. Mice that received DPT-DCs displayed enhanced antitumor therapeutic efficacy, which was associated with increased IFN-γproduction and induction of cytotoxic T lymphocyte activity. Conclusion: These findings strongly suggest that the adjuvant effect of DPT in DC vaccination is associated with the polarization of T effector cells toward a Th1 phenotype and provides a potential therapeutic antitumor immunity.
