Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經), consisting of Somun(素問) and Yeongchu(靈樞), has been used as the theoretical base of Oriental medicine in Asia. It is controversial where/when Somun(素問) was originated. Now, we reviewed several literatures concerning the origin of Somun(素問). Somun(素問) includes contents from a lot of ancient medical literatures, such as Shibmun (十問), Eumyang(陰陽), Gyeongmaek(經脈) and Kuchim(九鍼). Previous studies support that Somun(素問) was based on Yinyang(陰陽) and Gyeongmaek(經脈) and Yeongchu(靈樞) was affected by Jockbe(足臂). According to previous publications, there had been two separated masterpieces of Jockbe(足臂) and Yinyang(陰陽). The scholars from Jockbe(足臂) school had published Yeongchu(靈樞) and those of Yinyang(陰陽) school had published Somun(素問). Then, the old literature, Gyeongmaek(脈篇)was published with the contents which combined Jockbe(足臂) with Yinyang(陰陽).

The pulsating pressure waves are composed of fundamental frequency and higher order harmonics in exhaust pipe of engines. The nonlinearity in exhaust pipe is caused by their interactions. The error which is between prediction and measurement is induced by the nonlinearity. We can not explain this phenomenon using linear acoustic theory which is existing theory. So power spectrum which was used in linear theory is not useful. Bispectrum and bicoherence functions which are a higher order spectrum are applicable to explain this phenomenon. This paper proposes a nonlinear effect of pulsating pressure waves. The phenomenon proposed here is identified by using of cross-higher order spectrum and quadratic Volterra model.<br/>
