The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in proximate composition, free sugars, amino acids, fatty acids and Hunter color values between fresh and odorless garlic. The contents of crude fiber, crude fat and ash in odorless garlic were similar to those in fresh garlic. Sugars and crude protein decreased during manufacture of odorless garlic. Among the free sugars, sucrose, maltose and fructose decreased in odorless garlic, while the content of glucose increased. Total amino acid content decreased by about 30% in odorless garlic. Among the amino acids decreased arginine, isoleucine etc. The contents of linoleic acid, palmitic acid and oleic acid were higher than those of other fatty acids in fresh garlic and odorless garlic, but laruric acid was in little quantity. There were no significant differences in the Hunter L and b value between the fresh and odorless garlic, but value for greeness(-a) was lower in odorless garlic.

In this study, the nanosized ZnS thin films that can be used for fabrication of blue light-emitting diodes, electro-optic modulators, and n-window layers of solar cells were grown by the solution growth technique (SGT), and their surface morphology and film thickness and grain size dependence on the growth conditions were examined. Based on these results, the quantum size effects of ZnS were systematically investigated. Governing factors related to the growth condition were the concentration of precursor solution, growth temperature, concentration of aq. ammonia, and growth duration. X-ray diffraction patterns showed that the ZnS thin film obtained in this study had the cubic structure ($\beta$-ZnS). With decreasing growth temperature and decreasing concentration of precursor solution, the surface morphology of film was found to be improved. Also, the film thickness depends largely on the ammonia concentration. In particular, this is the first time that the surface morphology dependence of ZnS film grown by SGT on the ammonia concentration is reported. The energy band gaps of samples were determined from the optical transmittance values, and were shown to vary from 3.69 eV to 3.91 eV. These values were substantially higher than 3.65 eV of bulk ZnS. It was also shown that the quantum size effect of SGT grown ZnS is larger than that of the ZnS films grown by most other growth techniques.

현재 지상파 이동 멀티미디어방송(T-DMB)은 국지적인 재난경보 방송을 실시하거나 다양한 방송을 시청할 수 있다. 그러나 전파 음영 지역에는 시설 투자의 한계로 인해 서비스가 제한되고 있는 실정이다. 또한 T-DMB 시청이 불가능한 모바일 디바이스들도 있기에 T-DMB는 제한된 지역과 모바일 디바이스들만 시청할 수 있는 방송이라는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 T-DMB의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 T-DMB 방송을 수신하여 모바일 디바이스로 재전송해주는 시스템을 연구하였다. 이를 통해 T-DMB 수신이 불가능한 모바일 디바이스에서도 방송을 수신하여 시청할 수 있으며 제한수신 기능을 통한 단방향/양방향 인증 메커니즘을 제공하여 등록되어 있는 사용자에 한해서 방송을 시청할 수 있도록 시스템을 구성하였다. Current terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) is conducting the emergency alert broadcast, or can view a variety of broadcasting. However, propagation shadow area is a situation where the service is limited due to limitations of facilities investment. In addition, there is the problem of T-DMB broadcasting is for viewing only a restricted area and a mobile device because the mobile is also T-DMB viewing device impossible. In this paper, it receives a T-DMB broadcasting as a way to solve the problems of the T-DMB system, which was studied the re transmission to the mobile device. Accordingly, by receiving the broadcast may be watched in the mobile device the T-DMB reception impossible. Also provides a one-way/two-way authentication mechanism using a conditional access function, and the system was configured so that the user can watch only the registered broadcasting.
Variable Length Execution Set을 지원하는 VLIW 아키텍처를 위한 소프트 에러 검출 기법

공정 기술의 발전으로 인해 내장형 시스템에서 소프트 에러 발생 비율이 크게 증가하고 있다. 고성능, 저전력을 특징으로 하는 VLIW 아키텍처가 내장형 시스템에 널리 사용되어 왔는데, 이러한 VLIW 아키텍처에서 명령어 복제를 통해 소프트 에러를 감지하여 신뢰도를 높이고자 하는 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 하지만 기존 연구는 대부분의 상용 VLIW 아키텍처가 코드 크기 감소를 위해 사용하는 VLES 를 고려하지 않고 이루어졌다. 명령어 복제를 통한 신뢰도 향상을 위한 연구가 실용성 및 적용성을 갖추기 위해서는 VLES 를 지원하는 VLIW 아키텍처에 대해 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 VLES 를 지원하는 VLIW 아키텍처에서 명령어 복제를 위해 필요한 설계 방법을 논하고 이에 따른 실험 결과를 제시하였다. 실험 결과 VLES 를 지원하지 않을 경우에 비해 약 4% 정도의 추가적인 하드웨어 비용을 들여 평균 64% 정도에 달하는 코드 크기 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있었고, 또한 실행 시간에는 추가적인 손실이 발생하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. With technology scaling, soft error rate has greatly increased in embedded systems. Due to high performance and low power consumption, VLIW (Very Long Instruction Word) architectures have been widely used in embedded systems and thus many researches have been studied to improve the reliability of a system by duplicating instructions in VLIW architectures. However, existing studies have ignored the feature, called VLES (Variable Length Execution Set), which is adopted in most modern VLIW architectures to reduce code size. In this paper, we propose how to support instruction duplication in VLIW architecture with VLES. Our experimental results demonstrate that a VLIW architecture with VLES shows 64% code size decrement on average at the cost of about 4% additional cell area as compared to the case of a VLIW architecture without VLES when instruction duplication is applied to both architectures. Also, it is shown that the case with VLES does not cause extra execution time compared to the case without VLES.
