Rural information, rural amenity data, can be used for analysis of regional characteristics. But reasonable analysis of the information is quite difficult because of its abstract nature. Generally, the analysis of the qualitative data is operated with the results of survey or experts' assessment. It takes enormous time and effort, and doesn't make a uniform result. To overcome those problems, the Information Measuring Technique (IMT) based on information theory was developed by Jung (2003). Several researches adopt the IMT to analyze qualitative characteristics quantitatively. IMT can measure the quantity of information as numerical value. Still, IMT needs to be advanced and the way about how to improve it was discussed for more proper analysis of rural information.

Assessment the quality of rural amenity resources, while difficult, is important for the adequate and efficient development of rural community. However, it is difficult to estimate the worth of rural amenity resources since rural amenities are abstract ideas. In this research, an information measurement technique (IMT) was applied to objectively assess the quality of amenity resources in rural community. The qualities of rural amenity resources of 574 villages in Jeollanamdo were assessed and most of the villages were gained 0~3 out of 10. The assessment results using IMT will be effective data when it is hard to assess the rural amenity or it is demanded to verify the assessment results.

There are various and huge amount of rural amenity resources, so it is difficult to retrieve the proper informations. By using traditional retrieval techniques based on boolean-logic, it is difficult to measure the similarity between question and informations. In this research, a retrieval technique using information measure technique was introduced for rural amenity information retrieval. This retrieval techniques will present the results with the similarity order.

In the evaluation of rural amenity, it is hard to estimate the worth of rural amenity as numerical values. To evaluate the worth of an abstract idea, information measure technique(IMT) can be used. In this research, rural amenity priority assessment model(RAPAM) was developed adapting IMT. To apply the developed model for assessment of rural amenity, an encyclopedia was used as information gathering and utilizing system(IGUS). The application result of the developed model which was compared with the result of survey have similar trend. $R^{2}$ is 0.8539, RMSE is 0.382 and the applicability of RAPAM was proved.

Propriety of PERT network for planning and management in large-scale systems was investigated. We also review the example of small and middle size system to compare the appropriateness of PERT analysis method. For comparing the appropriateness of PERT analysis method the calculation time, and the variances were estimated. Eventualy, we proposed the criteria of PERT analysis method for planning and management large-scale systems.

In this paper, a numerical methodology for health monitoring of weldment was proposed using finite element method coupled with continuum damage mechanics. The welding-induced residual stress distribution of T-joint weldment was calculated using a commercial finite element package SYSWELD+. The distribution of latent damage was evaluated from the stress and strain components taken as the output of a finite element calculation. Numerical examples were given to demonstrate the usefulness of this so-called "post-processing approach" in the case of welding-induced damage assessment.

In this paper, a practical design criteria for judgement of crack occurrence in weldments is presented as a function of typical welding parameters, such as diffusible hydrogen, restraint intensity, and preheating temperature. The elastic analyses using the finite element techniques are employed in order to quantify the restraint intensities, numerically. Systematic experiments are also conducted in order to investigate the propensity of crack to typical welding parameters. The results of numerical estimation using the proposed method for the experimental specimens show the usefulness as a practical tool in welding induced crack problems with extensive uncertainties.

선체구조 부재에는 이중저의 girder 및 floor 등에서 cutout을 가진 판이 많이 사용되고 있고, 이는 중량 점검, 사람 및 화물의 이동, 배관 등의 목적으로, 보통은 강도상 큰 문제가 없는 부위에 위치하지만 때로는 불가피하게 높은 응력이 작용하는 부위에 위치하지만, 때로는 불가피하게 높은 응력이 작용하는 부위에 설치해야 할 경우도 있다. 이러한 판에 cutout의 존재는 면내 하중에 의한 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도에 큰 영향을 준다. 따라서, 유공판의 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도는 선박의 초기 구조설계단계에서 구조부재치수를 결정할 때 검토해야 할 중요한 설계기준 중의 하나이다. 그러므로, 유공판에 대한 합리적인 탄성좌굴강도 및 최종강도 설계식이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 면내 종방향 압축력은 받는 유공판에 대해 좌굴 및 최종강도 특성을 탄소성 대변형 유한요소법을 적용하여 분석하고 사용된 해석기법은 Arc-length Method를 이용하여 유공의 형상비와 세장비, 종횡비를 매개변수로 한 시리즈해석을 수행하여 종방향 압축하중 작용시 유공판의 최종강도에 관한 설계식을 도출한다. Therefore, perforated plate elastic buckling strength and ultimate strength is one of important design criteria which must examine when decide structural members size at early structure design of ship. Therefore, and, reasonable elastic buckling strength about perforated plate need design ultimate strength. Calculated ultimate strength change several aspect ratio and cutout's dimension, and slenderness ratio in this investigation. Used program applied ANSYS F.E.M code transformation finite element method that is mediocrity finite element analysis code. To develop design about ultimate strength formula on plating with cutout, applied longi direction compressive axial-load.
