Zirconium carbide was prepared from the mixture of metal zirconium and carbon powders in argon atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) in order to obtain the best carbon source and dilution contents. The most exellent result was obtained in the case that active carbon was added as a starting material, 20~30 wt% dilution content. From thermal profile analysis an apparent activation energy of 118 KJ/mol was calculated. The maximum heating rate achieved during 15 wt% ZrC reaction by product dilution method was approximately 1.54$\times$105 K/s. Coupling this value with the measured wave velocity of 1.026cm/s yielded a maximum thermal gradient fo $1.5\times$105 K/cm. Using the definition of t* and the measured wave velocity, the effective thermal diffusivity, $\alpha$, was calculated to be 0.62$\times$102 $\textrm{cm}^2$/s.

스마트 그리드용 배전시스템 구축을 위해서는 웹상에서 CIM의 데이터 처리를 위한 CIM데이터 메시지 설계가 필요하며, 이를 위해서는 여러 단계를 거쳐서 CIM RDF 메시지 데이터를 구성하게 된다. 현재 다양한 CIM메시지 구성을 위한 Tool이 있으며 본 논문에서는 CIM 메시지 설계와 Profile rule 작성을 위해서 Open CIM Message 설계 Tool을 사용하였으며, CIM Message설계와 데이터 취득 및 전송방안에 대하여 연구하였다.

Boron cabride was prepared from the mixture of metal boron and graphite powders in Argon atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis Chemical furnace. The most excellent mechanical properties were in the case that Fe was added as a sintering agent before the synthesis of the B4C in the Chemical furnace. Sintered B4C-5wt% Fe specimen showed the relative density of 95%, of theoretical value, and 3-point-flexural strength of 380MPa.

Background/Aims: Well designed staging system of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is needed for comparative therapeutic studies regarding HCC to be of value. The aim of study is to reevaluate prognostic factors affecting natural history of HCC and to devise a staging system according to prognostic index estimated mathematically Methods: One hundred eighty patients with HCC were analyzed retrospectively. All patients received only conservative treatments. Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed using clinical, biochemical and imaging data obtained at diagnosis. Results: The overall acturial survival rate at 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 months were 74%, 33%, 11%, 7%, 5%, respectively. For significant prognostic variables in the univariate analysis, multivariate survival analysis disclosed that tumor size(p=0.0039), ascites(p=0.0190), total serum bilirubin(p=0.001) were independent prognostic factors. Considering the contribution of each of these factors to prediction of survial, a pronostic index(PI) was defined as a following regression equation. PI=EXP(tumor size×0.1904+ascites×0.4114+Bilirubin×0.0504). According to PI, a new staging system was devised allowing division of patients into three groups with significantly different survival rates(p<0.01). Conclusions: The new staging system for HCC according to PI would be useful for the staratification of HCC patients in the comparative evaluation of various therapeutic modalities.(Korean J Gastroenterol 1997;29:786-796)
SHS 화학로에 의한 TiC-B₄C 복합체의 소결특성에 관한 연구

SHS 법에 의하여 TiC를 합성하고 SHS 화학로를 이용하여 B₄C를 합성하여 TiC 기지에 B₄C의 첨가량을 변화시키면서 TiC-B₄C 복합체의 소결특성을 연구하였다. TiC-B₄C 복합체에서 20wt% B₄C를 첨가하였을때 가장 우수한 소결특성을 나타내었으며 1900℃에서 90분간 30MPa의압력으로 고온 가압소결하여 얻어진 소결체의 상대밀도, 꺽임강도, 경도 및 파괴인성은 각각 98.2%, 620MPa, 2412Kg/mm²그리고 ??이었다. TiC and B₄C were prepared from the Mixture of metal titanium, boron and graphite powders in Argon atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temterature Synthesis method and self-propagating High-temterature Synthesis Chemical furnace respectively. The sintered properties of TiC-B₄C composite as a function of B₄C content was investigated in theTiC-B₄C composite. The relative density. M. O. R. strength, Hardness and fractur toughness of TiC-20wt% B₄C composite sintered at 1900˚C for 90min. by hot-pressing under the presure of 30 MPa were 98.2%, 620MPa, 2412kg/mm and ??,respectively.

SHS법에 의하여 TiC를 합성하고 SHS 화학로를 이용하여 MoB를 합성하여 TiC 기지에 MoB의 첨가량을 변화시키면서 TiC-MoB복합제의 소결특성을 연구하였다. TiC-MoB 복합체에서 20-30%MoB를 첨가하였을때 가장 우수한 소결특성을 나타내었으며, 2000℃에서 30분간 30MPad의 압력으로 고온 가압소결 하여 얻어진 소결체의 밀도, 꺽임강도 및 경도는 각각 98.0%,670MPa 그리고 4.730kg/㎟이었다. TiC and MoB were prepared from the mixture of metal titamium, boron and graphite powders in argon atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis method and Self -propagating High-temperature Synthesis Chemical Furnace respectively. The sintered properties of TiC-MoB composite was investigated as a function of MoB content. The best value of density, bending strength and hardness of Tic-MoB composite sintered at 2000oC for 30min, under the presure of 30MPa by hot-pressing were 98.0%, 670MPa and 4730kg/mm?, repectively.
