        급성 백혈병에 병발된 침윤성 Aspergillus 감염의 치료 1 예

        Invasive Aspergillosis in the immunosuppressed host is usually lethal. There are difficulties in the diagnosis and treatment. We report a case of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis complicating acute myelogenous leukemia, which was sucessfully treated with administration of Amphotericin B and left upper lobectomy of lung. A 29 year old man was admitted to Kyung Hee University Hospital with acute myelogenous leukemia. On 14th day, pneumonia was found on both upper lung. Antibiotics were administreated without improvement. Bronchoscopic findings were nospecific and sputum culture was negative. On 46th day, chest films showed improvement of right upper lobe pneumonia but a cavity with a filling defect (meniscus sign) was found in the left upper lung fields. A two-month course of amphotericin B (960 mg total dose) and left upper lobectomy (On 74 th day) was completed. He is now in complete remission of leukemia and without evidence of Aspergillus infection, after postoperation 16 months.

        애니메이션을 리메이크한 라이브액션 영화에서 일어나는 캐릭터와 내러티브 변형에 대한 연구 : 디즈니 사례들을 중심으로

        본 논문은 극장용 카툰 애니메이션으로 제작되었다가 후에 라이브액션적인 성격이 강한 디지털 영화로 리메이크된 디즈니 작품들을 연구하여 리메이크 과정에서 어떤 변화가 일어났는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 카툰 애니메이션과 비교했을 때 라이브액션은 다음의 특징을 보인다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 카툰 특유의 과장과 명료함이 사라지기 때문에 현실에서 불가능한 의인화는 존재하기 힘들게 된다는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 동물이나 사물 등 사람이 아닌 캐릭터는 라이브액션만으로 충분한 표현이 어렵기 때문에 극 중 비중이 줄어들거나, 등장한다 하더라도 그의 고민이나 의도의 묘사를 통해 그 성격을 정립하기 보다는 행동에만 초점이 맞추어 단순하게 표현하는 경우가 많았다. 둘째, 동물이나 사물 등 현실에서 불가능한 캐릭터의 극중 비중이 줄어드는 것에 따라, 디지털 영화는 자연스럽게 사람들 간의 관계나 갈등 쪽으로 포커스가 맞춰지고 있다. 이러한 차이는 일차적으로 양쪽 버전 영화의 타깃과 장르가 다르기 때문이지만, 보다 근본적으로는 애니메이션과 라이브액션이라는 매체가 가진 특징이 큰 역할을 했다고 볼 수 있다. This paper examines the modifications in remake films by case-studying Disney’s early digital films that have animated originals. Compared to their animated counterparts, digital films show a few distinct characteristics, which are as follows. First, in digital films that look and feel like live action, exaggeration and sharpening of data that are unique to cartoon form are no longer available. Therefore strong anthropomorphism of non-human characters tends to be reduced. Secondly, the narratives of digital film versions concentrate on the relation of people rather than non-human characters. Although this phenomenon may be due to the difference of the films’ target or genre, the differences between animation and live-action films as media must have affected the narratives.

        Metalloproteinase-3 Genotype as a Predictor of Cardiovascular Risk in Hypertensive Adolescents

        Background and Objectives: Hypertension develops as a result of cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis or as a result of exchange of the extracellular matrix. In particular, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-3 is a major enzyme involved in the reconstruction of the arterial intima through activation of other MMPs. We analyzed MMP-3 genotypes in hypertensive and normotensive adolescents and sought to determine if a particular genotype is a predictor of cardiovascular complications. Subjects and Methods: Forty-four hypertensive adolescents and 59 healthy adolescents were included in this study. Serum aldosterone, renin, insulin, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), insulin, homocysteine, vitamin B12, folate, MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-9, tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases (TIMP)-1, and TIMP-2 were measured. MMP-3 genotypes were analyzed using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primer. The carotid intima media thickness (IMT), diameter, and brachial ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) were evaluated using ultrasound. Results: In hypertensive adolescents, blood pressure, anthropometric data, carotid IMT, baPWV, serum pro-MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1, and TIMP-2 were no different between the 6A/6A group and the 5A/6A group. Serum MMP-9 was higher in the 5A/6A group than in the control group. Aldosterone, insulin, and homocysteine were higher in the 6A/6A group than in the control group, and vitamin B12 and folate were lower in the 6A/6A group than in the control group. Conclusion: In conclusion, serum MMP-3 levels were not significantly different in different MMP-3 genotypes in hypertensive adolescents. However, few patients were included in this study. Further investigation is necessary to clarify the relationship between MMP-3 genotype and cardiovascular risk.       • 전열원자흡수분광법에 의한 쌀 중의 Se 정량

        Methods to determine selenium in rice collected from Nonsan-Gun, Chungpook Province by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry have been studied. Samples were dissolved by a microwave digestion system using a high pressure bomb and nitric acid for sample vessel and digestion acid, respectively. The Smith-Hieftje background correction method was used for the correction of absorption intensity. The optimum analytical conditions for pretreatment of sample, and the temperatures of the graphite furnace for drying, the first pyrolysis the second pyrolysis, atomization and cleaning processes were obtained. Pd(NOs)z and Mg(N03)z were used for main and auxiliary modifiers, respectively. The correlation coefficient of the calibration curve and the limit of detection for selenium were 0.9994 and 3.2 nsi/mL, respectively.
