A pressure measurement system was developed to verify magnitude and position of transferred pressure on the body surface during the intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) which is one of the most well-known methods for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Eighty force sensing resistors (FSR) were arranged on a mannequin leg and a hardware controller sensed, digitized, and transferred pressure data every second while IPC was being applied. Finally, sensed pressure data were color coded and visualized on the 3D model with lab-developed software. The pressure data were also saved to files for further analysis. Using this measurement system, the changing pattern of pressure was measured on the mannequin leg by changing both chamber pressure and cuff tightness. As a result, net pressure transferred onto the body surface is dependent on chamber pressure and cuff tightness. Under the same chamber pressure, the tighter a cuff was worn, the wider compressed area was and the shorter compression cycle was. Also transferred pressure was proportional to both chamber pressure and cuff tightness.

The digital three dimensional (3D) real object duplication system (RODS) consist of a optical 3D scanner and a solid freeform fabrication (SFF) system for office type. It can scan a 3D object rapidly, transmit data to other system and reproduce the copy thereof rapidly. In this research, full automatic 3D scanner and SFF system was developed. The 3D scanner has the motion stage of four axes. And the SFF system developed based on three dimensional printing (3DP) process. Also, the performance of developed system was evaluated. As the result, the duplication error of part was 300,㎛(X), 300,㎛ (Y), and 800,㎛(Z) respectively.

3DP(three dimensional printing) technology is one of SFF(solid freeform fabrication) technologies which have recently come into a spotlight due to its adaptability to various applications. This technology has a great advantage in terms of short fabrication time for a prototype at a low cost, especially when it comes with multi-nozzle inkjet printing technology. However, it has also a disadvantage since it requires additional curing time, after jetting a binder material, and post-processing time in order to increase the mechanical strength of a product. In this study, a novel 3DP process is proposed to overcome slow solidification and elaborate post-process by adopting photo curing method into the conventional 3DP process. Mechanical properties, such as tensile and bending strengths, of specimens fabricated with thc proposed 3DP process were measured and compared with those fabricated with the conventional 3DP process. As a result. it is found that mechanical strengths of specimens from the proposed novel 3DP process show over 10 times higher than those from the conventional 3DP process.

수소염화불화탄소(hydrochlorofluorocarbons, HCFC)는 대표적인 지구 온난화 유발의 온실가스이다. 이를 회수, 처리하기 위한 다양한 방법이 이미 존재하고 있으나 본 연구에서는 대체방안으로 하이드레이트 기반 가스분리(hydrate-based gas separation, HBGS)법을 제안하고자 한다. HCFC-22, HCFC-142b, N<sub>2</sub>로 구성되는 두 종류의 혼합 가스에 대하여 가스하이드레이트 상평형 조건을 측정하였다(8.01:12.01:79.98 / 20.01:30.00:49.99). 이들 측정된 상평형 조건은 HBGS법의 운전 조건 결정에 필수적인 데이터이다. 측정된 평형 조건을 기반으로 Clausius-Clapeyron식을 적용한 하이드레이트 해리 엔탈피를 계산할 수 있었고, X-ray diffraction을 이용한 생성 하이드레이트의 결정 구조를 분석하였다. 또한 하이드레이트 생성 속도 측정에 대한 실험을 수행하였고, 이때 발생하는 가스 조성의 변화를 측정하였다. 결과적으로는 하이드레이트 결정의 성장보다는 결정핵 생성이 매우 중요한 운전 인자가 되며, 시스템의 압력에 크게 영향을 받는다는 사실을 알 수 있었다.
