A retrospective analysis of 351 linear skull fractures, during the period of January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1993, reveals the following : 1) Motor-Vehicle-related accidents were responsible for most of the injuries(56%), in which pedestrians(47%) were the primary victims. 2) In 172 cases(49%), the Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS) ranged from 13 to 15. Patients with parietal fractures usually rated on a lower scale than those with fractures on other sites. 3) Occipital fractures were most common(23%), which was followed by parietal(19%), temporal(15%), frontal(15%), and multiple fractures(8%). Occipital fractures were frequently due to a pedestrian T.A. or a fall from high elevation while temporal or parietal fractures were frequently due to bicycle and motorcycle accidents. 4) The incidence of associated intracranial lesions was 70%. Patients with occipital fractures had a lower percentage of associated intracranial lesions than those with parietal fractures. Coup injuries were found in 175 cases and contre coup injuries in 106 cases. In many cases, frontal, parietal and temporal fractures were found to be coup injuries whereas with occipital fractures, contre coup injuries. 5) Sixty-one percents of the patients were assessed in Glasgow Outcome Scale(GOS) gradeⅠ.

Purpose: Pouch dilatation and band slippage are the most common long-term complications after laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB). The aim of the study is to present our experience of diagnosis and management of these complications. Materials and Methods: The pars flaccida technique with anterior fixation of the fundus was routinely used. All band adjustments were performed under fluoroscopy. We analyzed the incidence, clinico-radiologic features, management, and revisional surgeries for treatment of these complications. We further presented the outcome of gastric plication techniques as a measure for prevention of these complications. Results: From March 2009 to March 2012, we performed LAGB on 126 morbidly obese patients. Among them, 14 patients (11.1%) were diagnosed as having these complications. Four patients (3.2%) had concentric pouch dilatations, which were corrected by band adjustment. Ten (7.9%) had eccentric pouch with band slippage. Among the ten patients, there were three cases of posterior slippage, which were corrected by reoperation, and seven cases of eccentric pouch dilatation with anterior slippage. Three were early anterior slippage, which was managed conservatively. Two were acute anterior slippage, one of whom underwent a revision. There were two cases of chronic anterior slippage, one of whom underwent a revision. The 27 patients who underwent gastric plication did not present with eccentric pouch with band slippage during the follow-up period. Conclusion: The incidence of pouch dilatation with/without band slippage was 11.1%. Management should be individualized according to clinico-radiologic patterns. Gastric plication below the band might prevent these complications.
크리켓 센서를 이용한 사용자 중심의 동영상 서비스 설계 및 구현

센서 네트워크는 미래사회의 핵심인 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 구축하기 위해서 필요한 중요 기술 중 하나 이다. 이미 많은 곳에서 센서를 활용한 Context Awareness 서비스가 다양하게 연구 되고 있으며 이러한 흐름에 맞추어 본 논문에서는 크리켓 센서를 활용한 사용자 중심의 미디어 전송 서비스를 제안한다. 크리켓 센서는 사용자의 위치를 확인하기 위해 사용하며, 사용자 근처에 존재하는 모니터로 동영상을 전송하기 위해서 자바스트리밍 기술을 사용한다.
세탁기에서 열전소자를 이용한 VOCs 회수에 관한 연구

Recently, it was under an obligation to install the VOCs recycling unit in the cleaners and the gas station to prevent from discharging VOCs emitted from the cleaners and the gas station. The objectives of this study was to investigate the VOCs recycling unit used thermoelectric module to recycle the organic solvent from the cleaners and after washing. The traditional way was the use of the VOCs recycling unit with the compressor. But the recycling unit has many weak points ; noise, size, danger of fire, additional pollution and so on. In order to improve these weak points, it was developed the new VOCs recycling unit using the thermoelectric module through this study. The cooling block with 32 thermoelectric module was applied to cool the hot VOCs where comes to occur from the dryer in high temperature condition. Also a water-cooled equipment was used to remove the heat from the hot surface of thermoelectric module. The experimental results from new VOCs recycling unit shows that the maximum recovery rate of the unit was 83.2 % and the recycled VOCs' purity was 98 % or more. And the noise problem was solved by applying the thermoelectric module to the VOCs recycling unit.
