Objectives: The present study purposed to evaluate the effects of Leonuri Herba and Leonuri Semen on hypercholesterolemia and provide data for the appropriate clinical application of Leonuri Herba and Leonuri Semen. Methods: We applied the water extracts of Leonuri Herba and Leonuri Semen to rats with hypercholesterolemia induced by high-cholesteroldiet, and examined their effects. Results: The levels of the total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol were reduced by the uptake of Leonuri Herba to rats with hypercholesterolemia, but there was no significant effect on the level of TG(triglyceride), HDLc(HDL-cholesterol), FFA(free fatty acid), and Fc(free cholesterol), while the amount of AST and ALT was inhibited. The application of Leonuri Semen brought about the decrease of the total cholesterol and Fc, the increase of TG, HDLc, and FFA, and the significant decrease of the activation of AST. Leonuri Herba had only a weak effect on hypercholesterolemia, while Leonuri Semen had a strong effect on the reduction of the symptoms of hypercholesterolemia. Conclusion: Based on the fact that Leonuri Herba had only a weak effect on hypercholesterolemia, while Leonuri Semen had a strong effect on the reduction of the symptoms of hypercholesterolemia, it is concluded that Leonuri Semen is a better solution for hypercholesterolemia than Leonuri Herba.

본 논문은 대용량 영구자석형 풍력발전 시스템을 위한 3병렬 전력변환장치의 고장진단 방법을 제안한다. 스위칭 소자의 개방고장뿐만 아니라 단락고장도 감지 할 수 있으며, 고장난 스위치를 판별한다. 제안한 기법은 추가적인 센서가 필요하지 않고 전류신호를 기반으로 두기 때문에 시스템의 모델링이 필요하지 않은 장점이 있다. 본 논문은 10㎾급 영구자석형 풍력발전 시스템을 모의한 시뮬레이션을 바탕으로 제안한 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

디지털 영상에 대한 위/변조 방지 및 저작권 보호를 위한 다양한 워터마킹 기법이 연구되어 왔다. 워터마킹 기법은 그 응용 대상에 따라 알고리즘이나 구현 방식이 크게 달라지게 되는데, 본 연구에서는 디지털 콘텐츠 대부분이 압축되어 전송, 저장되는 추세와, 최근 대부분의 멀티미디어 동영상 코덱 표준으로 채택이 되고 있는 H.264/AVC 인코더를 기반으로 한 워터마크 삽입을 실시간으로 수행하기 위한 기법을 제시한다.

Objectives: This study was conducted to compare Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus with Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus, and to examine Fructus chaenomelis having an influence on Intestinal Motility. Methods: We compared Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus with Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus, by observing their effects on Intestinal Motility. Oral administration of water extracts of Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus and Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus into albino rats was followed by dealing with carbachol or loperamide, injecting charcoal meal and measuring the moving length in the intestine. Results: By Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus and Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus, the Intestinal Motility of normal albino rats did not change significantly. Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus and Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus controled the accelerated Intestinal Motility of albino rats. Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus was not different from the extracting method, Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus had effects of control on extracting by methanol significantly. When Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus was compared with Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus, the former was proved to have control effects on Intestinal Motility in decoction extracts and extracts by ethyl ether higher than the latter. By both Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus and Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus, the declined Intestinal Motility was not changed significantly. Conclusion: Chaenomelis Fructus suppressed the exasperated Intestinal Motility by carbachol, but did not influence the dropped Intestinal Motility by loperamide. In addition, Chaenomelis Sinensis Fructus was more excellent than Chaenomelis Lagenariae Fructus in its control effects of Intestinal Motility. inhibitory effects by DKT represent a potential therapeutic approach to the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
기둥 구조 전극을 내재하는 노즐을 이용한 정전 분무 마이크로 추진기관

본 논문은 기둥 구조의 전극이 내부에 존재하는 노즐을 이용한 정전 분무 마이크로 추진 장치의 새로운 메커니즘을 제시하였다. 기둥 구조의 노즐로 인한 제팅의 효율 증진을 수치적 및 실험적으로 연구하였다. 노즐 상부에 존재하는 전극에 인가된 전압으로 인하여 액면에 형성된 전기장은 액체의 분무를 가능하게 하며 기둥 구조의 전극은 액면의 중앙 부분에 전기장이 집중되도록 하여 제팅을 효율적으로 할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 노즐 크기에 따른 필요한 인가전압의 차이에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며 본 연구로부터 수 마이크로미터의 노즐에 대해서 500V 이하의 전압에서 구동이 가능함을 보였다. This paper presents a novel mechanism of electro-spray micro-thruster featured by a nozzle with a conductive pole inside, referred to here as a pole type nozzle. And the effects of the pole type nozzle on the efficiency of the jetting are numerically and experimentally investigated. The electric voltage signal applied to the upper electrode plate, against the pole as the ground, allows a ejection of spray to take place. It is verified experimentally that the use of the pole type nozzle allows a stable and sustainable jetting mode of ejection for a wider range of applied voltages because it can concentrate the electric field more on the centre of the meniscus. According to results about size effect, experiments indicates that the proposed mechanism allows that operation of micro thruster at less than 500 volts through nanoscale nozzle.
산초(山椒)의 기원(基原)식물과 이물 규격에 관한 연구

Objectives : This study aims to examine validity of the following guideline for Zanthoxyli Pericarpium in the Korean Pharmacopoeia regarding foreign materials: “the seeds of Zanthoxyli Pericarpium that are mixed should not exceed 20%.” Methods : Varied compliance guidelines for and original plants of Zanthoxyli Pericarpium across countries were compared and contrasted. In order to do this, pharmacopoeias from a number of different countries including Korea were used as references. Results : The weights including seed parts were Z. piperitum 3.48g, Z. schinifolium 2.94g, and Z. bungeanum 2.16g; while the weights of peel parts were Z. piperitum 1.45g, Z. schinifolium 1.69g, and Z. bungeanum 0.98g. In terms of weight, Z. piperitum was the heaviest with its entire part including the seed, whereas Z. schinifolium was the heaviest with its peel part. The proportions of each seed in the whole part were Z. piperitum 58.33%, Z. schinifolium 42.52%, and Z. bungeanum 54.63%. Considering these figures , including seed parts in the guideline up to 20% is inappropriate; however, this guideline is inevitable in order to use seed parts for medicinal purpose. Conclusion : In this article, the author argues if any changes were to made on the guideline for Zanthoxyli Pericarpium with respect to foreign materials - “the seeds of Zanthoxyli Pericarpium that are mixed should not exceed 20%” - its seed part should firsthand be separated from its peel part and be designated as one kind of medicine. Then, revisions on the foreign materials compliance guidelines for Zanthoxyli Pericarpium should also be made.

In this paper, for mimic super-hydrophobic insect wing, conduct Ion-beam treatment using Argon and oxygen plasma. To fabricate super-hydrophobic surface based on polymer surface, varied Argon and Oxygen flow rate, energy level and expose time. And evaluate treated surface, perform AFM (atomic force microscope), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and contact angle measurement.
