      • 건설현장 작업자 행동관련 소규모 현장 안전 관리 적용

        소규모 건설 사업장에서는 한 사람이 과도하게 많은 관리영역에 대해서 책임을 져야하므로 특정 영역에 대해 집중적인 관리가 불가능하다. 실제로 이와 같은 소규모 프로젝트는 작은 규모로 인해서 정부의 관리통제에서 면제되고 있는 바, 이는 소규모 건설 현장에서의 안전 관리와 안전 관리에 대한 의식 수준이 낮은 주된 이유 중 하나이다. 정부는 그간 전국적 사고 발생 건수를 줄이기 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있지만 매년 백여 명이 넘는 근로자가 건설현장에서 사망하고 있다. 이는 그간의 관리방법으로는 일정 수준의 목표를 달성하고자 함에 있어 상당한 한계가 있다는 것을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안한 행동 기반 안전 관리 기법에 기반한 경영 아이디어는 소규모 건설 현장에서의 사고발생을 효과적으로 절감하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Only one person should be responsible for many area of works at a small construction sites with less than contract amount of USD 0.3 million. therefore, he can not be an expert in one area. Actually, this kind of small projects are not controlled by the Government because those small size of projects are exempted in following the Government control, due to certain level of small size. The above reason makes those small projects loose with an aspect of safety management without safety consciousness and safety management. The Government makes his effort to decrease nationally accident occurrences but there is considerably deep limitation to achieve a certain level of goal despite a fact that there have been more than 100 workers died annually. It is expected that some proposed management ideas technique with behavior-based safety management can be contributed to decreasing accidents at small construction sites.

        고속주행용 화차대차의 주행안전성

        As freight traffic becomes heavier, the high speed of existing freight cars is essential, instead of the construction of a new railway. The high speed can be achieved by the modifications of freight bogie design. In this paper, an analytical model of freight bogie is developed to decide the critical speed. The dynamic responses of the analytical model are compared with the experimental data from a running test of freight bogie and showed good agreements between them. The analytical model is used to find the design of freight bogie. The parameter studies show that the reduction of wheelset mass ratio and the increase of the axle distance of freight bogie can increase the critical speed, but the primary lateral stiffness has little effects on the critical speed. And this study also shows that smaller wheel conicity deteriorates the running safety of freight car, which means that the overhauling of the wheel of freight bogie should be done regularly.

        재발성 산후 용혈성 요독 증후군 1예

        The hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is characterized by triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and azotemia. The major causes of this syndrome are infectious diseases, drugs, cancer, connective tissue diseases and pregnancy. The association of pregnancy with HUS is an unusual but well described event occurring typically in the postpartum period. Postpartum HUS is also a cause of acute renal failure in pregnancy. Some cases of recurrent HUS due to drugs or infection were reported. We experienced a 33-year-old woman with recurrent postpartum HUS. She had postpartum HUS 5 years ago and was recovered completely with one month treatment including hemodialysis. On this admission, she presented with hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and acute renal failure after delivery. We carried out hemodialysis, plasmapheresis and other conservative management for 2 months. However, the patient's renal function was not recovered, and maintenance hemodialysis was required.(Korean J Med 62:104-108, 2002) 저자들은 첫 임신 분만 후 발생한 용혈성 요독 증후군으로 약 한달간 혈액투석 후 정상 신기능을 회복한 환자에서 5년 후 두 번째 분만 후 발생한 재발성 용혈성 요독 증후군으로 만성신부전으로 진행되어 질환 발생 12개월이 지난 현재까지 혈액투석요법 중인 환자를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다 .

      • 철흡수기전의 활성이 철농도와 산소분압에 따른 황색 포도구균의 증식에 미치는 영향

        Background : We previously reported that activity of iron-uptake systems (IUS) influenced on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus in body fluids which are relatively iron-restrictive conditions. Iron and oxygen are closely related each other in several microbial metabolism. In the present study, we tried to investigate the effect of of IUS on the growth of S. aureus according to the iron concentration and oxygen tension. Methods : SR-1 strain, whose IUS are defective, was isolated from the standard strain, ATCC 6538. These two strains were cultured under the aerobic, microaerobic and anaerobic condition in the iron-sufficient BHI and iron-depleted BHI, respectively. Bacterial growth was measured by optical density. Results : Growth of both strains was inhibited in the iron-depleted BHI. Growth of parental strain was more active in the iron-sufficient BHI as well as in the ion-depleted BHI than that of SR-1 strain. Growth of both strains was more active under the aerobic condition than under the microaerobic or anaerobic condition. In the iron-depleted BHI, parental strain showed a striking difference of growth according to the oxygen tension. In the iron-depleted BHI, growth of SR-1 strain was markedly inhibited regardless of oxygen tension. Conclusion : IUS influenced more on the growth of S. aureus in the iron-depleted environments than in the iron-sufficient environments, and under the aerobic condition than under the microaerobic or anaerobic condition in the iron-depleted environments. These results indicated the possibility that oxygen as well as iron regulate activity and expression of IUS. (Korean J Infect Dis 33:214∼218, 2001)
