        Pancreatic Arteriovenous Malformation as an Unusual Cause of Chronic Gastrointestinal Bleeding in a Patient with Early Gastric Cancer: Multimodality Imaging Spectrum with Pathologic Correlation

        Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) of the pancreas is extremely rare, although itmay be increasingly diagnosed due to the widespread use of cross-sectional imagingof the abdomen. Early diagnosis of this disease is important to prevent delay oftreatment and resulting fatal complications. We report a rare case of pancreatic AVMin a 48-year-old man who presented with severe chronic anemia and early gastriccancer, which made diagnosis challenging. Imaging findings, including ultrasound,computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging, are shown, as well as thepathologic features.

        부모의 관점에서 본 희귀난치성 질환이 있는 아동의 학교생활 경험과 교육적 지원 요구

        This study aims to comprehensively understand the school experiences and educational support needs of children with rare and incurable diseases. To achieve this, focus group interviews were conducted with 15 parents of children under the ages of 18 who have rare and incurable diseases. The research findings reveal that children with rare diseases encounter challenges such as a lack of health management support, inequities in educational opportunities, limited participation in extracurricular activities, and experiences of both prejudice and social isolation. To address these important issues, the study recommends enhancing in-school medical services, increasing special education resources, implementing individualized education and assessment systems, fostering inclusive educational culture, and improving information accessibility for parents. This study highlights the need for institutional intervention and environmental improvements to protect the educational rights of children with rare and incurable diseases; it will also serves as foundational data that can meaningfully contribute to the development of educational policy.

        한국과 미국의 부모가 기대하는 영유아교사의 전문성에 대한 비교 연구

        Objectives This study compares two different parent groups' perspectives on ECEC (Early Childhood Education and Care) educator professionalism. As a result, this study provides insights into the policy making process, teacher preparation curriculum, and certification process in the ECEC field. Methods A semi-structed one-to-one interview was conducted with Korean parents and Korean/Korean-American parents. All collected data were carefully categorized and coded. For trustworthiness, triangulation and member checks were chosen. Results Parents in South Korea expect professionalism from ECEC educators: Teachers who co-parent on behalf of parents, Teachers who serve children with sincerity, and Teachers who have licenses for kindergartens and childcare centers. Parents in the U.S.A expect professionalism from ECEC educators: Teachers who co-parent alongside parents, teachers who have a warm heart, and teachers who have majored in ECEC relevant fields or been certified for teaching specialized program. As a final point, both parent groups view veteran teachers as pro fessionals due to their presence of mind and long experiences. Conclusions The study reveals that two groups of parents in different countries view ECEC educators' pro fessionalism differently. The professionalism of ECEC educators needs to be investigated from different angles and with the voices of stakeholders included. Furthermore, to improve the professionalism of ECEC educators, not only reforming the teacher preparation curriculum and the certification process but also ongoing policy support is necessary.

        국내 성격연구 동향 분석: 운동선수를 중심으로(2001-2022)

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to to explore trends in domestic journal papers on the personality of athletes in the sports field and to explore the direction of future research. Methods: According to systematic literature analysis using integrated literature review(Whittemore, Knafl, 2005), 43 Korean journals related to the personality of athletes from published 2001 to 2022 according to analyze basic information(published year, published journal), participant, method, and topic. Results: First, the period of publication decreased for a while in the 2000s(2001-2009), but rapidly increased in 2010, and has been steadily published until now, and published journals are evenly distributed. Second, the main research group is the athlete(96.6%), and their group is high school(26.4%), university(25.3%), pro(20.7%), middle school(14.9%), national(5.7%), elementary school(3.4%), etc., and various events were examined. Third, research methods were quantitative(79.0%), qualitative(14.0%), and mixed(7.0%). Fourth, the research topics were 5 personality factors(40.6%), MBTI(24.3%), personality strengths(13.5%), A/B type(5.4%), and Ayzenk(5.4%). Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the trends of research on athletes personality in domestic sports journals and presented future research directions(structure and process of personality, interaction between personality and environment, formation and development of personality, extreme form of personality, and measurement of personality, etc).

        Characteristics of Cognitive Impairment in Patients With Post-stroke Aphasia

        Objective To analyze cognitive functions of post-stroke aphasia patients compared to patients having right hemispheric stroke and left hemispheric lesions without aphasia, and to look for a relationship between cognitive deficits and aphasia severity.Methods Thirty-six patients with right hemispheric stroke (group 1), 32 with left hemispheric lesion without aphasia (group 2), and 26 left hemispheric stroke patients with aphasia (group 3) completed a set of tests in the computerized neurocognitive function batteries for attention, executive function and intelligence and Korean version of Western Aphasia Battery. Data analyses explored cognitive characteristics among the three groups and the correlation between cognitive deficits and aphasia severity.Results Right hemispheric and left hemispheric stroke patients without aphasia showed similar findings except for digit span forward test. Cognitive tests for working memory and sustained attention were significantly impaired in the aphasic patients, but intelligence was shown to be similar in the three groups. Significant correlation between cognitive deficit and aphasia severity was only shown in some attention tests.Conclusion Cognitive deficits may be accompanied with post-stroke aphasia and there are possible associations between language and cognitive measures. Therefore, detection and treatment towards coexisting cognitive impairment may be necessary for efficient aphasia treatment.

        영화대국을 향한 꿈과 현실의 간극 - 1950년대 중국영화를 중심으로

        Recognizing film as a crucial tool for the socialist revolution and state building, the Chinese Communist Party actively promoted the distribution of propaganda films to educate the people. In particular, national efforts to enhance film production capacity contributed to the quantitative growth of the Chinese film industry. Nevertheless, significant limitations were also evident. This study focuses on the 1950s, a period when the political utility of film was firmly institutionalized, and explores the gap between the authorities' ambitious expectations and the reality of film production. By examining the trajectory toward becoming a film powerhouse, this paper highlights the challenges in strengthening film productivity during this transformative period of Chinese cinema. The discussion identifies two primary objectives that guided Chinese cinema in the 1950s. First, the aim was to establish a comprehensive, vertically integrated system for film production, distribution, and exhibition, with the state exercising direct and centralized control. Second, the goal was to mass-produce high-quality domestic films that could substantively contribute to the construction of a socialist state and effectively disseminate ideological narratives to the people. This strategic effort was fundamentally part of solidifying cinema's role as a critical cultural and political enterprise. Moreover, the Party leadership aspired to strengthen film production capabilities to rival the cinematic infrastructures of the Soviet Union and the United States. However, the reality confronting Chinese cinema during this period diverged markedly from these ambitious objectives. Actual film production remained persistently stagnant for an extended period, consistently falling short of the quantitative and qualitative production targets established by state authorities.

        보육교사의 놀이민감성이 교사-영유아 상호작용에 미치는 영향: 사회적지지의 매개효과

        This study explores the relationship between childcare teachers' play sensitivity and their interactions with young children, focusing on the mediating effect of social support. The research involved a survey of childcare teachers' working in Gwangju Metropolitan City, with 281 valid responses analyzed. The reliability of the survey was assessed, and Pearson’s correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between variables. Mediation effects were analyzed using mediator regression analysis and the Sobel test to confirm statistical significance. The key findings are as follows: There was a positive correlation between childcare teachers' play sensitivity, teacher-young children interaction, and social support. Childcare teachers' play sensitivity directly influenced teacher-young children interactions, with social support playing a partial mediating role. These results indicate that the play sensitivity of childcare teachers significantly impacts their interactions with young children, and social support serves as an important factor in enhancing these interactions. To improve the quality of teacher-child interactions, the study highlights the need for continuous, active, and diverse forms of support for daycare center staff. By providing such assistance, childcare workers can build greater confidence in their interactions with young children, ultimately fostering learning through play.
