The effects of antimigrant on dye migration during drying in continuous dyeing of Polyester/Cotton blended fabrics were studied. C.I. Disperse blue 125 and Na-alginate were used as dyestuff and antimigrant, respetively. In order to investigate the effects, critical moisture content and wicking property were measured and the capillary radius through the water concentration gradient of fabrics was also determined. The results showed that dye migration during drying was affected by viscosity of dye liquor and the increase of the Na-alginate concentration resulted in the decrease of radius of the most frequently occurring capillaries and max. capacity of the continuous capillaries.

In this paper, we design a power circuit with variable output voltage for display driver ICs. The power supply operates in two modes, SFM (switching frequency modulation) and PWM (pulse width modulation), according to load currents to have better power efficiency. The proposed circuit has been realized with the Magnachip 0.35㎛ CMOS process and simulated using Hspice. The simulation results show that our circuit produces the output voltage range of -1.0V ~ -0.7V maximum 81.1% power efficiency at load currents 0 ~ 250mA.

Setting behavior of spandex yarn in heat treatments for the anti-crease treatment of knit fabric made of cotton/spandex 2-ply yarn was investigated. Three different methods, i.e., dry-heat treatment, hot water treatment, and steam treatment, were used to set the spandex yarns. Setting properties were measured via length changes of the treated samples. Tensile strength retention and elongation of the treated samples were also measured. The results indicate that length changes of the samples treated with hot water and steam are larger than that treated with dry heat due to the presence of moisture. The length change of spandex yarns increases with increasing treatment temperature, time and extension. Among the three factors, extension has the most significant effect on the setting behavior. Spandex yarn set at a certain condition can be set again if it is treated under more severe conditions. Tensile strength and elongation of spandex yarn decrease with increasing length change.

In this paper, we design a dual-mode DC-DC buck-boost converter with variable output of -1.4V ∼ -5V. The BCDMOS process is adopted for high output voltage, and a SFM/PWM dual mode is used to enhance power efficiency. Also DC output voltage can be changed by controlling on/off duty ratio of power switching transistor with external control inputs. Simulation results with Spectre show that the output voltage varies with -1.4 ∼ -5V, and power efficiency has 87.5 ∼ 90.2% for the load current up to 250mA.
