분단 이후 우리나라는 남북이 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화의 전 국면에 걸쳐 상호 배타적인 입장을 지녀왔다. 따라서 남북한의 문학 역시 이질화의 길을 걸어가지 않을 수 없었다. 이러한 문학사의 단절과 굴절 현상에 대한 각성의 결과물인『북한문학사전』(이명재 편저, 국학자료원, 1995)은 올바른 민족 문학사의 수립을 위해 폐쇄적인 북한 문학의 실체를 객관적으로 파악, 정리한 이 분야 초유의 귀중한 노작(勞作)이다. 물론 1987년의 납ㆍ월북 문인 연구를 위한 해금 조치 이래 북한문학의 이해를 돕는 많은 저작들이 출간되기는 했지만 문인, 문학 용어, 작품, 문예 단체 및 출판물 등 북한 문학의 전체상을 모두 445항목, 1206쪽에 걸쳐 본격적으로 기술한 경우는 이 시점까지도『북한문학사전』이 유일한 형편이다. 하지만 사전 간행 이후 일부 대상문인들의 신변 변화와 이전의 편집 및 교정 과정에서 발견하지 못한 몇몇의 오류들을 확인하고, 새로운 자료들을 검토하게 됨에 따라 보유 작업에 대한 또 다른 책임감을 느끼게 되었다. 이러한 과정이 올바른 민족 문학사 수립을 위한 학문적 열정으로 받아들여지기를 소망하여, 우선 문인 항목만을 대상으로 잘못된 부분을 정정하고 미진한 부분을 보완하기로 한다.

Asymptotic Variance and Extensions of A Density-Weighted-Response Semiparametric Estimator

Building on some early works, Lewbel (2000) proposed estimators for binary and ordered discrete response models with endogenous regressors. These estimators have been extended for panel data and for truncated and censored models by later papers. The estimators are particularly innovative in that the latent linear regression functions are pulled out of the nonlinear limited dependent variable models, which are then treated as if they were the usual linear models. But understanding the estimators and their applications have been “hampered” by less-than-ideal expositions and assumptions. For this problem, this short note reviews the estimators and makes the following three points. First, the derivation and proper insight of the asymptotic variances are provided. Second, the inefficiency of the ordered discrete response version is pointed out and corrected. Third, assumptions in the panel data extension by Honoré and Lewbel (2002) are relaxed. 人事行政制度의 史的考察 : 英美의 獵官制度와 實績制度를 中心으로

The origin of public personnel administration system can be observed even in the ancient countries, but the necessity of the public personnel administration won a full recognition with the formation of modern countries. The formation of modern countries resulted in the development of the party politics which led to the spoils system in which the party that won in election had the power to appoint public officials previously held by the king. Basically this was thought to be the victory of democratic system but defects bagan to appear with the system. Thus, there have been movements to reform the system of public officials in modern democratic countries. As a result, the merit system was established, which appoints public officials on the basis of competency and qualification. This paper has studied the two systems in England and the United States as they have mostly been developed in the two countries. The two systems, the two major currents of public personnel administration, exist in any kinds of government. The spoils system flourished in the liberal democracy of 19C suffered from administrative inefficiency and extravagance with budgets, scattering the original noble ideals of democracy. To avoid the defects of the system the modern countries adopted the merit system, but the character of present countries makes it inevitable for the two systems to coexist. This paper has made a periodic observation on the process of the establishement of the two systems. Observing the character of bureaucracy in absolutism, the process of the establishment of spoils system in modern democratic countries, and that of the merit system in present democratic countries, this paper revaluated the two systems and suggested a view of the public personnel administration system of the future.

Pediococci 선택배지를 이용한 김치 유래 Pediococci 검출

분자생물학적 방법에 의한 김치유산균 연구의 진행으로 Leuconostoc, Lactobacillus, Weissella 속 유산균의 김치발효 과정 중 생육에 대한 새로운 결과들이 도출되었지만, Pediococcus속의 생육에 대한 새로운 결과는 거의 보고되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 김치에 존재하는 Pediococcus 속 유산균의 존재에 대한 재조명을 위하여 ampicillin (A)의 첨가로 pediococci의 선발 유효성이 향상된 것으로 보고된 pediococci selective medium(PSM)+A를 이용하여 pediococci 선택적 검출의 유효성을 검토한 결과, 기존에 보고된 결과와는 달리 Pediococcus pentosaceus 외에도 leuconostocs, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus curvatus, Oenococcus oeni, Streptococcus thermophilus에 대한 생육저해가 발생하지 않았다. PSM+A 한천배지를 이용하여 김치에 생육하는 미생물을 검출한 경우, leuconostocs, P. pentosaceus, Weissella koreensis, Lb. curvatus, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus sakei가 생육하여 김치와 같은 발효침채류의 발효에 관여하는 pediococci의 선택적 선발에는 PSM+A가 유효하지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. Pediococci selective medium (PSM) supplemented with ampicillin (A) reported as valid for the detection and enumeration of pediococci included in foods and animal feed was evaluated for the selective detection of the genus Pediococcus in kimchi. PSM is based on the complex basal medium MRS supplemented with cysteine hydrochloride, vancomycin, novobiocin, and nystatin. In the medium evaluation with known species, the growth inhibition of leuconostocs, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus curvatus, Oenococcus oeni, and Streptococcus thermophilus was not confirmed. In the application of kimchi samples on the selective medium, leuconostocs, P. pentosaceus, Weissella koreensis, Lb. curvatus, Lactobacillus brevis, and Lactobacillus sakei were detected. PSM+A was proved to be not applicable for the detection of pediococci in kimchi.
