The neural network predictive controller(NNPC) is proposed for the attempt to mimic the function of brain forecasts the future. It consists of two loops. one is for the prediction of output(Neural Network Predictor) and the other one is for control the plant(Neural Network Controller). The output of NNC makes thr control input of plant, which is followed by the variation of both plant error and prediction error. The NNP forecasts the future output based upon the current control input and the estimated control output. The method is applied to the control of temperature in boiler systems. The proposed NNPC is compared with the other conventional control methods such as PID controller, neural network controller with specialized learning aechitecture, and one-step-ahead controller. The computer simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method has better performances than the other methods.

A mathematical model of cancerous system based on immunological surveillance has been proposed by K. S. Lee. The model involves a system of 12 coupled nonlinear differential equations due to cellular kinetics and each of which can be modeled bilinearly. This paper discusses only the properties of solutions to the nonlinear differential equations and identification.

This paper provides an overview of system analysis of immunology. The theoretical research in this area is aimed at an understanding of the precise manner by which the immune system controls Infec pious diseases, cancer, and AIDS. This can provide a systematic plan for immunological experimentation by means of an integrated program of immune system analysis, mathematical modeling and computer simulation. Biochemical reactions and cellular fission are naturally modeled as nonlinear dynamical processes to synthesize the human immune system! as well as the complete organism it is intended to protect. A foundation for the control of tumors is presented, based upon the formulation of a realistic, knowledge based mathematical model of the interaction between tumor cells and the immune system. Ordinary bilinear differential equations which are coupled by such nonlinear term as saturation are derived from the basic physical phenomena of cellular and molecular conservation. The parametric control variables relevant to the latest experimental data are also considered. The model consists of 12 states, each composed of first-order, nonlinear differential equations based on cellular kinetics and each of which can be modeled bilinearly. Finally, tumor control as an application of immunotherapy is analyzed from the basis established.

This paper describes a method for designing a digital loop for numerical control(NC) which requires precise control of position and feed rate for approximating the contour by linear moves of the cutter. By reducing the positional error due to fluctuation, the system improves the contouring accuracy. Also, using the microprocessor, the loop can be easily extended without a increased cost of transducers with respect to a change in the required contour.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate and identify the influence of nurses' followership types and ego-resilience on job embeddedness. Methods: Self-reported questionnaires were distributed to 546 nurses working at hospitals with 400 to 700 beds in Seoul and Gangwon Province, and 520 sincere questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS / WIN ver 23.0 program. Results: The job embeddedness, ego-resilience and followership types of the participants showed significant correlation with each other. In hierarchical multiple regression analysis, nurses' followership types and ego-resilience were identified as predictors of job embeddedness (Adj. R2=0.34, p<.001). Conclusion: Findings of this study indicate that nurses need to develop their followership and ego-resilience to increase job embeddedness. Future studies should explore ways to improve followership and ego-resilience.
