        This paper presents a novel method of processing for local tumor ablation in recycled orthotopic autogenous bone graft. One of conventional processing for local tumor ablation is a method of treating malignant bone tumors by heating bone to over 65℃ using water for at least 30 minutes to pasteurize bone tumors. In this work, RF (radiofrequency) heating system is designed to treat malignant bone tumors by heating bone to 70℃ and maintaining temperature for longer than 30 minutes. This system allows procedures directly on an operating table unlike conventional methods. RF heating has large wavelengths than microwave heating, possibly to heat up uniformly. The experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed RF heating method and showed the tendency of temperature rose in the bone marrow and joint. The results of temperature increases depending on the region are the basis of the bone heating model.

        지진 등 재난으로 인한 피해의 예방과 복구에 관한 「집합건물법」의 해석에 대한 검토

        As the earthquake incidents in Gyeongju and Pohang indicates, Republic of Korea is no longer free from the terrors of earthquakes as we have once believed. All the related data points to a future where natural catastrophes are more frequent events. However, it is undeniable that many buildings and housings in the Republic of Korea does not have the ability to withstand such a disaster, and because of this damages caused by such events (as it was in the Gyeongju and Pohang incidents) will be massive. Much of the legislation or government policies concerning this matter focus mostly on encouraging the owners of buildings and housings to enhance the seismic design of there properties. While the above efforts are necessary and important, it cannot be denied that more interest should be given to the issues concerning the legal problems that may arise in the process of preventing and restoring damages. Many of the buildings and housings are subject to the 「ACT ON OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF CONDOMINIUM BUILDINGS」. Therefore, issues concerning who should take care of the costs involved and who can make decisions on how to restore the damages must be resolved based on the interpretation of the relevant articles. However, the interpretation of such articles remain unclear. As an attempt to ensure the rational solution to such problems, we have proposed some opinions in the ways to interpret some of the related articles of 「ACT ON OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF CONDOMINIUM BUILDINGS」. 경주와 포항 지진 사태에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 대한민국 또한 한 때의 믿음과 달리 더 이상 지진안전국이라고 할 수 없음이 명백하다. 관련된 모든 데이터는 오히려 미래에는 지진을 비롯한 더 많은 자연재해가 발생할 것이라는 점을 보여주고 있다. 그런데, 국내에 있는 상당수의 건축물은 이러한 재앙을 이겨낼 수 있는 능력을 갖추지 못하고 있다는 점을 부인하기 어려우며, 이러한 측면 때문에 경주, 포항 지진사태 당시와 마찬가지로 이러한 재앙으로 인한 손해가 굉장할 것으로 우려된다. 이와 관련된 많은 입법 내지 정부정책은 특히 민간건축물에 있어 그 소유자들이 본인 소유 건축물의 내진보강 공사를 활성화하도록 지원하는 방향에서 진행되고 있는 것으로 보인다. 이러한 시도 역시 필요하고 또 중요하지만, 피해의 예방 및 복구에 있어 발생할 수 있는 법률 이슈에 대해서 더 많은 관심이 주어져야 한다는 점을 부정하기는 어려울 것으로 보인다. 국내 상당수의 건축물은 「집합건물법」의 적용을 받기 때문에 누가 지진 등과 관련하여 발생한 비용을 부담하고 또 필요한 대책을 결정할 수 있는지는 동법의 관련 규정의 해석을 통해서만 결정될 수 있다. 하지만 관련된 상당수의 규정에 대한 해석은 명확하지 못한 실정이다. 이러한 점 때문에 저자들은 이 글을 통해 자연재해와 관련된 집합건물에 발생한 손해를 예방 및 회복하기 위해 필요한 합리적인 해결책을 도출하기 위해 「집합건물법」의 관련 규정들에 대한 해석론을 제시하였다.

        Job Stress-attributable Burden of Disease in Korea

        Background: As job stress is associated with various diseases and psychiatric conditions, we aimed to estimate the job stress-attributable burden of disease in Korea based on the concept of disability-adjusted life years (DALY). Methods: We selected ischemic heart disease (IHD), stroke, major depressive disorder (MDD), and suicide as health outcomes from job stress, because of the ease of access to data estimating burdens and of important meaning of them in Korean occupational background. Results: Our findings demonstrated that approximately 21% of Korean workers were exposed to high job strain, which was attributable for approximately 6.7% of IHDs, 6.9% of strokes, 13.6% of MDDs, and 4% of suicides. In terms of job stress-attributable DALY, the burdens of disease per 100,000 people were 38 for IHD, 72 for stroke, 168 for MDDs, and 44 for suicides. Conclusion: The present findings suggested that one-fifth of Korean workers were suffering from high job strain. Although the figures may not be accurate due to several assumptions, job stress is an important risk factor for health in working environment in Korea.

        데이터 경제와 정보보호 관리·감독제도의 개선에 대한 검토

        Since the "4th Industrial Revolution" has been a big issue today, the importance and public attention regarding data also has increased. In addition, activities that create new values while acting as catalysts for the development of other industries by using various types of data are called “Data economy” or “Data industry”. And many policies are also being designed to support them. While Korean government implements various policies that consider the use of data to promote the data economy and industry, it also operates systems to prevent infringement accidents and minimize information leakage damage. However, the financial institutions that caused large-scale personal information leakage accidents are excluded from the subject of the Inforamation Security Management System (ISMS) certification obligations, and domestic universities have refused the certification review. In addition, in the case of the information protection (voluntary) disclosure system, no companies participated for a year since the implementation was insignificant. Even in public institutions that need to take the initiative in protecting personal information, cases of unauthorized access and leakage of personal information are constantly being occured. And cryptocurrency exchanges where data itself is converted into cashable assets have been hacked. In this era of data economy and industry, the demand for information security management and supervision system is expected to gradually increase, it is expected that the level of social expectations for policy and system operation in this regard will also increase. In this paper, we first looked at the data economic environment and related trends, and examined the current status and limitations of the current information protection and management system. Afterwards, we tried to suggest some ways to improve the information protection, management, and supervision systems, and suggest directions to help secure the use of data in the future to meet the era of secured data economy.

        Evaluation of Phytochemical econtents and antioxidant activity of Korean common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) landraces

        The Korean common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) has been receiving increased attention as a functional food. The objective of this study was to reveal the phytochemicals genetic variation and antioxidant activity of 209 Korean common bean landraces. Antioxidant activity was evaluated with the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate), ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) assay. Antioxidant activities among common bean accessions showed wide variation. Four flavonoids (kaempferol, myricetin, quercetin, and naringenin) of the 209 Korean common bean landraces were measured using HPLC. Among them, kaempferol had the highest phytochemicals compared to the other three flavonoids. Using the relative antioxidant capacity index (RACI), it was found out that the IT104587 had the highest antioxidant activity. Meanwhile, in clustering analysis, the Korean common bean landraces were classified into three clusters. Among them, cluster II contained 64 landraces with higher antioxidant activities and phytochemicals than the other clusters, except DPPH. The results could provide information on the valuable Korean common bean landraces for the development of new common bean varieties.

        미국 USDA에서 도입한 수박 유전자원의 특성

        In this study, watermelon accessions introduced from USDA were characterized for 12 morphological characteristics of leaf, flower, fruit, and seed, according to the National Agrobiodiversity Center descriptor list. In addition, to confirm the genetic composition of each watermelon accession, genetic profiling was performed using 20 SSR markers. A total of 154 watermelon accessions from USDA were collected from 31 different countries, among them, 12.3% (19 accessions) was from Turkey. According to the results of morphological characterization performed, the accessions displayed a large diversity. In the results of genetic profiling using 20 SSR markers, six accessions (K192117, K192028, K193400, K192376, K192499, and K192800) were expected to be as the inbred lines among 154 watermelon accessions. The 12 scored characters were analyzed by discriminant analysis of principal components (DAPC). The result of DAPC revealed 68.1% of the total variability and pointed out variations among accessions, mainly on the basis of fruit stripes and fruit shape in longitudinal section. The accessions were divided into eight different groups according to DAPC, while the geographical origin was not a great source for grouping. Our results will be helpful for the efficient management of germplasms and in understanding and selecting the watermelon breeding process.
