대유행 인플루엔자(H1N1 2009) 원내 노출자 관리결과

Background: This study is aimed at describing the outcomes of the management of the patients, caregivers, and healthcare workers (HCWs) who are exposed to the pandemic influenza (H1N1 2009) virus and at evaluating the adequacy in exposure management and infection control. Methods: From July 2009 to January 2010, for 7 a month period, we managed patients and healthcare workers without any respiratory protective devices, who came within 1 m distance of H1N1-positive individuals for more than 1h and performed a 1-week follow-up. Results: The total of 157 cases with exposure to pandemic influenza (H1N1 2009) virus and exposed individuals of 907 were reported. Of the exposed individuals who were under management, 15 were confirmed to be infected with the infection rate being 1.7%. The confirmed individuals did not have a secondary infection after the exposure. Rates of infection of the exposed patients and healthcare workers were 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively, and these figures were not statistically significant. Conclusion: The exposure management results at the hospital revealed that the infection had spread by contact with individuals who were positive for the infection. The high incidence of early exposure to the virus warrants the need to ensure the use of protective equipment and the adoption of assertive teaching methods that have long lasting effects.

Dramatic Irony and Objectivity in Tamburlaine the Great

일반적으로 Marlowe는 지금까지 주관적인 극작가(subjective dramatist)로 평가되어져 왔다. 그것은 역사적 전환기로서의 Renaissance가 겪어야 했던 이원적 갈등과 긴장을 Shakespeare에 앞서서 가장 단적으로 극화한 작가이기 때문이다. 낭만주의 비평가들은 Marlowe를 가리켜 중세의 전통과 권위를 거부한 영웅적 iconoclast이며, 인간의 무한한 가능성을 인식시킨 idealist라 하였다. 또한 그들은Marlowe의 생애와 관련시켜 그의 작품을 자신의 spiritual biography 내지는 self-expression으로 해석하였다. 이러한 낭만주의적 관점은 부분적인 수정이 가해지긴 했지만 지금까지 Marlowe비평에 있어서 지배적인 경향이 되어 왔었다. 그런데 근래에 와서는 작가로서의 Marlowe의 객관성을 밝히려는 시도가 있어 왔다. 즉 Marlowe를 객관적인 극작가(objective dramatist)로 재해석 하려는 비평 사조이다. Marlowe가 자신이 창조한 극중 인물들을 통하여 그가 심취하였던 Renaissance Humanism적 야망과 갈등을 표현한 것은 사실 이지만 한편으로는 작가로서의 객관성을 견지하고 있다는 것이다. 여기에서 객관성(objectivity)이라 함은 작가가 극중 인물들에 대하여 가지는 미적 거리(aesthetic distance)를 의미한다. 다시 말해서 Marlowe가 창작 과정에서 극중 인물들과 involvement가 되면서도 동시에 detachment된 상태에서 판단을 내리고 있다는 사실이다. Marlowe의 주인공들은 Harry Levin이 말한 것처럼 모두가 overreacher들이다. unattainable object를 향하여 비상해 보지만 결국은 Icarus처럼 죽음의 심연으로 추락할 수 밖에 없다. 오히려 그들의 spiritual pride는 self-destructive element로 작용하여 스스로 파멸을 초래할 뿐이다. 이렇게 볼 때에 Marlowe가 나타내고자 한 것은 human aspiration만은 아닐 것이다.

The Block copolymers of acrylamide and 4-vinylpyridine were prepared and was determined the intrinsic viscosity and the composition of the copolymers. The mole ratio of the 4-vinylpyridine for the copolymers was lower than that of monomer ratios. The higher of the ratio of 4-vinylpyridine the lower the intrinsic viscosity. The copolymers was not soluble in water, But their Hydrochloric salts was soluble in water.

Chitosan-g-Eugenol의 유화안정성에 관한 연구

The emulsive stability of chitosan derivative, Chitosan-g-Eugenol, grafted by eugenol was examined to enhance the mixing ability between water and oil. Exellent emulsive stability showed at the ratio 3:2 (the ratio of distilled water to soybean oil). Also, good emulsive stability appeared at 0.14%(w/v) as an input concentration of chitosan derivative, below 65℃ such as an emulsifier-keeping temperature, and 11,000rpm for over 10 second as homogenizing time. In conclusion, it can be seen that chitosan derivative formed is an emulsifier of W/O type.

2003년 9월 10일부터 14일까지 멕시코 칸문에서 개최된 제 5차 WTO 각료회의가 DDA협상 세부지침에 대한 합의를 도출하지 못하고 결렬됨에 따라 2004년 12월로 예정되었던 DDA협상 타결시한의 연기가 불가피할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 칸문 각료회의를 계기로 표면화된 선진국과 개도국간의 대립구도는 향후 협상 전개에 상당한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 매우 중요한 변화이다. 선진국이 지불하고 있는 막대한 규모의 국내 및 수출보조금을 실질적으로 대폭 감축하라는 농산물 수출개도국(G- 21)의 공세에 미국과 EU가 앞으로 어떻게 대응하는가에 따라 DDA 농업협상의 향방이 결정될 것이라는 분석이다. 칸룬 각료회의 결렬 이후 교착상태에 빠진 DDA 농업협상을 조속히 재개하기 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 대부분의 회원국들은 칸문 각료회의에서 제시된 데르베즈 의장 초안을 향후 협상기초로 받아들이는데 동의하였으며, 2004년 2월에 새로 구성될 WTO 의장단이 구체적인 향후 협상일정을 수립할 계획이다. 우리나라는 향후 협상의 기초로 이용될 가능성이 높은 데르베즈 의장안에 대한 면밀한 분석을 바탕으로 대응전략을 수립하는 한편, 우리와 입장을 같이 하는 농산물 수입국 및 개도국들과의 연대를 강화해 우리의 입장이 협상에 충분히 우리나라는 향후 협상의 기초로 이용될 가능성이 높은 데르베즈 의장안에 반영되도록 노력해야 할 것이다. 아울러 우리의 개도국지위 유지 및 쌀 재협상 등에서 그 중요성이 더욱 커진 양자협상에 대비해 이해당사국을 설득하기 위해 차별화된 협상전략을 수립해 나가야 할 것이다.

Crab shell is a food waste, which is caused by fatal environment deterioration. Using these shell, many workers have been a popular choice in various investigations and applications of foods. The shell is treated in boiling aqueous sodium hydroxide to prepare chitin following to decalcification in diluted hydrochloric acid. Then chitin is deacetylated to became chitosan in 50% sodium hydroxide solution. In order to prove the possibility of food materials, several modified-chitosans were characterized by the reaction time and temperature of decalcification and deacetylation. It can seen that the viscosity of chitosan increases with decreasing reaction temperature, we also suggested that the degree of deacetylation increases with increasing reaction temperature. The degree of deacetylation was independent upon the deprotenation temperature. The degree of deacetylation was however depended upon the reaction temperature of deacetylation. The excellent results for the degree of deacetylation were obtained as follows : ① deprotenation 60℃×3hrs. and ② deprotenation ; 80℃×2hrs. When the chitin formed was treated at 120℃ for 12hrs (the temperature means deacetylation temp.). The degree of deacetylation were 99.9% (60℃×3hrs) and 87.3% (80℃×2hrs). Also the viscosity were 25.8cps (60℃×3hrs) and 87.3cps (80℃×2hrs). Effects of cationic flocculants on the treatment of waste water from indusrial processing were studied. Chitosan A and B with different degree of deacetylation and viscosity average molecular weight were prepared by deactylation of chitin. Viscosity average molecular weight and degree of deacetylation of chitosan A and B are 4.2×105, 8.6×105 and 94.5%, 81.6%, respectively. Removal rate of COD and SS and transmittance at the concentration of 20 ppm flocculant showed the following trend : B>A>C. On the basis of pH condition, they also follows same trend at pH 8.
