The cohort and the period data are available to forecast the fertility rate. In general, it is known that the cohort data are better to model the fertility rate than the period data. However, this depends on reliability of the cohort data. Stat Korea used the cohort fertility rate to model age specified the fertility rate in population projection 2006. At that time, totally 11 birth cohorts (1950~1960) were used to model age specified fertility rate, six of them were complete (1950~1955) and five of them were incomplete (1956~1960). Also, it is well known that the maintenance and administration of cohort data are difficult. Because of the instability, we need to inspect reliability of the birth cohort used in population projection 2006. Therefore, in this study, to find improved method for modeling the fertility rate, we verify fertility rate models applicable both cohort and period birth rate data. Actually, we fit and forecast the fertility rate using the cohort and period fertility rate data with generalized log-gamma distribution model and PKII model by Peristera and Kostaki function. 예측을 목적으로 출산력에 대한 모형화를 할 때에는 코호트자료와 기간자료를 사용할 수 있다. 일반적으로 코호트출산율을 모형화에 사용하는 것이 더 나은 것으로 알려져 있으나, 이는 자료의 신뢰도가 확보되었을 때를 전제로 하고 있다. 통계청에서는 ‘2006년 장래인구추계’를 실시할 때 출산력 모형화에 코호트출산율을 사용하였고, 이때 1950~1960년까지 6개의 완결코호트(1950~1955년)와 5개의 출생코호트(1956~1960년)가 사용되었다. 또한 코호트출산율은 구성과 유지에 어려움이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 불안정성 때문에 우리나라의 경우도 1950~1960년까지 출생코호트라면 자료의 신뢰도를 의심해보지 않을 수 없다. 그러므로 이 연구에서는 코호트출산율 자료의 점검을 통해 문제점을 확인하고 개선을 위하여 기간출산율, 합계출산율에 모두 적용할 수 있는 출산율모형들의 적용을 검토하고 특성을 비교하고자 한다. 실제로 이 두 자료에 대하여 일반화로그감마분포모형(generalized log-gamma distribution model, GLG)과 Peristera and Kostaki의 함수를 이용한 PKII모형 등을 적합, 예측하였다.
P-819 : A Diagnostic Technique for inspection of pipes in CVD system

A method using ultrasound for detecting the presence of particles on insides pipes in CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) system is described. The particle deposits insides pipes of CVD system is a serious problem which can reduce the gas flow rate or damage pumps by sticking to rotors of pump. Therefore, the identification of particle deposits, which will reduce maintenance cost by minimizing unnecessary pipe replacements and equipment shutdown for inspection, is required for the maintenance of CVD equipment. For identification of particle deposits insides pipes. essentially, transmitting and receiving sensors are included in one package which is placed in contact with the outer wall of pipe. When particles coat on the inner surface of pipe, little sound is reflected from the interface and a large fraction is transmitted into the particles layer and is absorbed therein. This dramatically affects the pipe resonance and the amplitude is reduced sharply. By monitoring the decrease in amplitude, it is possible to detect the presence of particle or any other deposition on insides of pipe. The prototype sensors developed in this study are expected to be used successfully in semiconductor fabrication.

본 연구는 화학증착(Chemical Vapor Deposition, CVD) 시스템에서 전구체 소모량을 모니터링 하기 위한 방법이다. 전구체는 가격이 매우 비싸기 때문에 이를 모니터링 하기 위한 효과적인 방법이 요구된다. 하나의 예로서 용기내 수위진단을 할 수 있는 초음파 센서를 들 수 있는데 이는 비접촉식이고 가격이 저렴한 유리한 점이있다 본 연구에서는, CVD 시스템에서의 전구체 소모량 모니터링을 위한 초음파 진단기술 개발에 관해 연구한다. 또한 반도체 생산라인에 적용이 가능한 실제 진단장치를 개발, 적용한다. This study proposes an accurate method of monitoring precursor consumption in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems. Since precursor costs are significant, finding an efficient method to monitor precursor consumption is necessary One example is the use of non-contact and inexpensive ultrasonic sensors for determining the liquid level in a container. In this study, sensors based on ultrasonic techniques have been developed for monitoring the precursor consumption in a CVD system. Moreover, the prototype sensors developed in this study can be useful in the field of semiconductors.

During the last three decades childhood cancer survivorship study has extensively developed and now we have much extent of knowledge about survivor’s long-term mortality and chronic illness. One of the many challenges that females survivors face includes reproductive health, which involves reproductive and sexual health changes that could later significantly reduce one’s quality of life. Alkylating chemotherapy, irradiation of the CNS and/or ovaries, and pelvic and genitourinary surgery can adversely affect the reproductive organs. Increased awareness of the unique needs of female cancer survivors,timely evaluation of gonadal function, and active intervention for fertility preservation before, during, and after therapy is warranted.
국제장기상거래계약 상 불가항력조항의 설계에 관한 연구: 불가항력의 정의와 관련 사태의 리스트를 중심으로

Today, global society is being faced a variety of large-scaled natural and man-made disasters. These disasters are occasionally external, unforeseeable, irresistible, and render performance under the contract impossible. As a traditional commercial doctrine, these kind of disasters are recognized as force majeure (FM), and performance of contractual obligation is excused as well as the related contract is terminated. Such a FM is very important especially in case of international long-term contracts in the context of risk allocation between the contracting parties. Normally, parties to a contract allocate their contractual risks by expressly defining what constitutes FM events. Although there are some essential elements in a FM clause, the FM definition clause including enumeration of FM events is the most important clause as a base and starting point to invoke the FM clause successfully. The main concern of this paper is to examine, in both practical and legal aspects, how to draft well the FM definition (requirements) clause and illustrate the related event lists in FM clauses in international long-term commercial contracts. As a result of this study, the author emphasizes some important considerations to take into when businessmen draft the FM definition clause and enumerate the lists of illustrative events. It includes thorough understanding of individual national law and international uniform contractual law, as a governing law, model (standard) FM clauses of international organizations such as ICC, FIDIC etc. And also, it is desirable for the parties in practical aspects to make good use of their tailor-made clauses and catch-all clauses for well-drafted FM events.
