The investigation was performed to reveal the removal rate of metal constituents of litters in a Phragmites communis Miseanthus sacchariflorus, Typha angastata and Seirpas tabernaemontani grasslands in the lake Paldangho. The removal rates of metal constituents are determined by the mathematical models. The removal rates and time required to decay up to a percentage of each metal constituent were calculated using these model. The removal rates of Cu, Fe and Zn were 0.61, 0.58 and 0.79 in Phragmites communis 0.39, 0.47 and 0.68 in Miseanthus saccharflorus; 0.26, 0.09 and 0.23 in Typha angustata: 0.56, 0.27 and 0.67 in Seirpus tabernaemontani respectively. The periods required to reach half time to the stedy state of the removal and accumulation for Cu, Fe and Zn were 1,13,1.19 and 0.79 years in Phragmites communis; 1.79, 1.49 and 1.02 years in Miscanthus sacchariflorus; 2.70, 7.43 and 2.96 years in Typha angustata ; 1.23, 2.58 and 1.04 years in Scirqus tabernaemontani, re-spectively. GC/ECD 및 GC/MS를 이용한 토양 중 PCBs 분석방법 고찰

This study was investigated both the Korean oficial soil test method and the international variousmethods for PCBs in soil sample. The analytical guideline of PCBs in contaminated soil were proposed basedon the official soil test methods by discussing the extraction, column cleanup, instrumental conditions, quantificationmethods of peak matching and individual isomers. The total 28 soil samples were selected by consideration ofECD) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(GC/MS). In this study, the PCBs were not detected as peakmatching method using GC/ECD, but PCBs detected 0.002~0.487 g/kg using GC/MS in backgroundconcentrations.

This study was carried out to investigate occurrence and distribution of cellular slime molds by vegetation in Mt. Seorak. Eleven species were isolated from surface soil samples as follows: P. violaceum, P. candidum, P. purpureum, D. brefeldianum, D. minutum, D. delicatm, D. crassicaule, D. macrocephalum, D. firmibasis, D. polycephalum and D. implicatum. The dorminant species was D. brefeldinum. D. delicatum, D. implicatum, D. polycephalum and P. candidum of them were isolated rarely in Korea. It can be thought that these results were caused by characteristics of forest zone and geographical condition which Mt. Seorak is located at east side of central areas of Korea.

This study was carried out to investigate the removal rate of sulphur of the litters in the Phragmites communsis, Seirpus tabernaemontani, Miscanthus sacchariflorus and Typha angustata aquatic grassland ecosystem on the lake Paldangho. The annual litter productions of sulphur were 50.91 /$m^2$, in P. communis, 180.83 g /$m^2$, in S. tabernaemontani, 25.87 g /$m^2$, in M. sacchariflorus and 151.39 g /$m^2$, in T. angustata, respectively. The removal rates r, of sulphur in the litters were 0.86 in P. communis, 0.82 in S. tabernaemontani, 0.43 in M. sacchariflorus and 0.47 in T. angustata respectively, The times required to reach 50, 95 and 99 percent of the steady state levels and turnover values of sulphur on the grass-land floor were 0.81, 3.49 and 5.82 years in the P. communis, 0.85, 3.68 and 6.13 years in the S. tabernaemontani, 1.62, 7.00 and 11.67 years in the M. sacchariflorus and 1.49, 6.44 and 10.73 years in the T. angustata, It is considered that the high removal rates of sulphur in four grasslands of aquatic ecosystem contribute to the efficient removal of sulphur, a pollutant, at the lake Paldangho.
