Monitoring data from agricultural reservoirs throughout the country were analyzed to classify agricultural reservoirs according to physical characteristics and COD concentrations, and evaluate the relationships between water quality items. The physical and chemical data of total 498 reservoirs were analyzed from 1990 to 2001. Average COD, TP, TN, Chl-a, SS concentrations for the reservoirs and pollutant loadings from their watersheds were used for the analysis. It was possible that reservoirs were classified to 4 types using the relationships between the ratios of effective storage per water surface (ST/WS ratio) and COD concentrations. It is recommended that the improvement measures of polluted reservoirs should be performed as following order : integrated consolidation type (complex mechanism type) → watershed consolidation type → integrated consolidation type (external mechanism type) → in-lake consolidation type → conservation type and the depth (ST/WS ratio) of reservoir maintained over 5∼6 m for water quality improvement. The decision coefficients (r2) between Chl-a and other items (COD, T-P, SS, T-N) were 0.6915, 0.6732, 0.5327, 0.3352, respectively. Therefore, reservoir managers could evaluate the trophic state of reservoirs by COD concentrations.

Knotting of a pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) is a rare, but well-known complication of pulmonary artery (PA) catheterization. We report a case of a double-knotted PAC with a large loop in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) undergoing liver transplantation, which has been rarely reported in the literature. A PAC was advanced under pressure wave form guidance. PAC insertion was repeatedly attempted and the PAC was inserted 80 cm deep even though PAC should be normally inserted 45 to 55 cm deep. However, since no wave change was observed, we began deflating and pulling the balloon. At the 30-cm mark, the PAC could no longer be pulled. Fluoroscopy confirmed knotting of the PAC after surgery (The loop-formed PAC was shown in right internal jugular vein); thus, it was removed. For safe PA catheterization, deep insertion or repeated attempts should be avoided when the catheter cannot be easily inserted into the pulmonary artery. If possible, the insertion of PACs can be performed more safely by monitoring the movement of the catheter under fluoroscopy or transesophageal echocardiography.

In hardware design, its stability and reliability are important, because a hardware error can cause serious damages or disaster. To improve stability and reliability, this paper presents the implementation of the hardware verification system using the fault injection method in PC environment. This paper presents a verification platform that can verify hardware system reliably and effectively, through a process to generate faults as well as insert input signals into the actual running system environment. The verification system is configured to connect a PC with a digital I/O card, and it can transmit or receive signals from the target system, as a verifier's intention. In addition, it can generate faults and inject them into the target system. And it can be monitored by displaying the received signals from the target system to the graphical wave signals. We can evaluate its reliability by analyzing the graphical wave signals. In this paper, the proposed verification system has been applied to the FPGA firmware of a nuclear power plant control system. As a result, we found its usefulness and reliability. 본 논문에서는, 오류가 발생되어 심각한 피해와 문제의 우려가 있는 하드웨어에 대한 안정성 및 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 PC에서 결함 주입 방법을 이용한 검증시스템의 구현 방법을 제시한다. 검증시스템은 PC에 디지털 I/O 카드를 연결하여 대상 하드웨어 시스템에 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 방법으로 신호를 입력할 수 있으며, 결함을 생성하여 입력할 수도 있다. 그리고 대상 하드웨어 시스템에서 출력되는 신호를 디지털 웨이브폼 그래프로 모니터링이 가능하도록 구현하여 입력 신호에 따른 출력 신호를 비교하여 신뢰성을 평가할 수 있다. 검증시스템을 이용하여 원자력 발전소 시스템 계통장치 FPGA 펌웨어를 테스트 및 검증하였으며, 소프트웨어 방법과 실장테스트 방법에서의 문제점을 해결하여 신뢰성 있는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

We present a 66-year old woman complaining of dizziness and vomiting for the previous three days. Her symptoms were quite similar to vestibular neuritis except for mild headache. Spon- taneous nystagmus recording, head shake test, and slow harmonic acceleration results were also similar to vestibular neuritis. But the caloric test was not consistent with the chair test results. During the neurologic examination, ptosis, mydriasis, and the diplopia in the left eye were de- tected, which was indicative of central organic pathology. Bilateral posterior communicating ar- tery aneurysm that was compressing the left oculomotor nerve was detected by CT angiography. A careful and precise neurologic examination should never be neglected when examining a diz- zy patient. It was also noticeable that, acute third nerve palsy may present as intermittent sac- cades which mimic spontaneous nystagmus in vestibular neuritis.
직류전동기에서 저주파 부하외란에 강인한 선형 모델추종제어기 설계

PI제어기는 서보시스템에 널리 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 PI제어기로 설계된 시스템응답은 부하변동과 같은 외란이나 시스템 변수의 변화에 대하여 원하는 시간응답을 보존할 수가 없다. 따라서 시간응답 특성의 견실성을 확보하면서, 구현상의 어려움을 해결하기 위하여 선형요소만으로 구성되는 선형 모델추종제어(LMFC: linear model following control) 방법이 있다. 이 방법은 기준모델의 출력을 플랜트가 추종하도록 제어하는 것으로, 플랜트의 구조적 섭동에 무관한 시간응답 특성을 얻을 수 있으나 부하토크에 대한 응답속도가 느린 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위하여 모델추종제어기에 강인성향상기를 보조모델을 사용하여 도입함으로써 지주파 부하토크에 대한 응답속도를 향상시켰다. 제안된 제어기(RMFC: LMFC with robust enhancer)는 저주파 부하토크에 대하여 LMFC보다 강인한 특성을 보였으며 시뮬레이션 및 TMS320C30 DSP 시스템에 의한 실험으로 검증하였다. PI controller has been used in the servo system. However the time response of the system designed using the PI control scheme does not provide with desirable time response in case of variation in system parameters or perturbation like a torque disturbance. LMFC(Linear model following controller) is being used to make the response of the system follow that of the model even though the parameter variation or the perturbation occurs. In this paper, a design method, RMFC(Robust Model Following Controller) is proposed, which use an auxiliary model in addition to the LMFC, which affords robustness against the low frequency load torque disturbance. The proposed method is more useful to rejecting the low frequency torque disturbance than LMFC. Proposed method is verified by simulation and experiment.
