The objective of this paper is to suggest a method how to analyze thermal characteristic of engine mounted generator in a driving condition of series type HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle). To calculate each specific temperature of generator, first of all, reference value of torque and speed in driving condition using vehicle simulator should be acquired. After that, power-loss map of generator can be constructed by the result of electromagnetic numerical calculation from demanded torque and speed. In this paper, for the fastest calculation thermal equivalent model of generator using commercial software was adapted. The result show that in order to consider the effect of driving schedule the proposed method is very effective.

In the original design of K2 tank the Vertical Sensor Unit(VSU) was mounted to measure the attitude of the main gun to enhance the hit probability. In this research, as a part of efforts to reduce the cost of K2, it was theoretically simulated and evaluated to use the data from Inertial Navigation System(INS) for the calculation of the gun attitude instead of the direct measurement using VSU. It was found that the negative effect of INS approach is negligible and the elimination of VSU is technically possible and beneficial to the system.

This paper deals with the optimum design criteria for the 20kW PMSM type traction motor using DOE(Design of Experiments) and RSM(Response Surface Methodology). DOE and RSM is recently popular method to design the electrical machines for its simplicity. Using this method, the effects of four design parameters are analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of this method and design result has been validated by experiments using dynamometer.

In AAGFCS the effective range is regarded as a range for the bullet``s speed exceeding the speed of sound to damage the stationary target. Hence the real engagement range might be extended over the effective range for the approaching target since bullet``s relative speed to the target increases depending on the approaching speed. However previous TOF equations have good computation accuracy within the effective range only, and they can not be used above that range due to their bad accuracy. We propose an accurate TOF computation method which can be used both within and above the effective range in real time. Some simulation results are shown to demonstrate usefulness of our algorithm for the 30mm projectile.
