        크롬 취급 사업장의 작업환경 및 근로자 폭로 실태에 관한 연구

        For the purpose of providing the basic data for health management of workers who are exposed to chromium and for improving the quality of working environment, the authors evaluated blood and urinary level of chromium, the occupational history. AST, ALT, Hb, Hct, nasal specular examinaton on 287 workers who have been dealed chromium compounds in 56 manufacturing Industries of five types, that is, 38 metal plating services(plating),4 manufacture of other fabricated metal products (fabricated metal product), 5 manufacturing of dyestuff(dyestuff), 6 dressing and dyeing of leather(leather), 3 others(manufacture of pottery and ceramic househod wares, motor vehicles, electronic valves and tubes and other electronic components) and also measured the level of chromium in air from February to October 1993. The results were as follows ; 1. The utilized type of chromium compounds was the hexavalent state in plating fabricated metal product dyestuff, leather and the trivalent state in .other, and atmosperic chromium concentration as geometric mean was $0.0138mg/m^3(0.001{\sim}0.068mg/m^3)$ in plating, $0.0115mg/m^3(0.006{\sim}0.015mg/m^3)$ in fabricated matal product, $0.068mg/m^3(0.002{\sim}0.019mg/m^3)$ in dyestuff, $0.0083mg/m^3(0.002{\sim}0.028mg/m^3)$ in leather $0.0039mg/m^3(0.003{\sim}0.005mg/m^3)$ in other by the type of industry and it exceeded TLV-TWA ($0.05mg/m^3$) in five (13.6%) of plating services. 2. The geometric mean of chromium in blood was $1.54{\mu}g/dl(0.10{\sim}3.62{\mu}g/dl)$ in Plantng, $0.94{\mu}g/dl(0.27{\sim}2.82{\mu}g/dl)$ in fabricated metal product, $0.51{\mu}g/dl(0.10{\sim}3.25{\mu}g/dl)$ in dyestuff, $0.87{\mu}g/dl(0.15{\sim}8.00{\mu}g/dl)$ in leather, $0.55{\mu}g/dl(0.20{\sim}2.28{\mu}g/dl)$ in other by the type of industry(p<0.001). 3. The geometric mean of chromium in urine was $14.47{\mu}g/l(6.90{\sim}28.00{\mu}g/l)$ in planting, $4.63{\mu}g/l(0.24{\sim}43.00{\mu}g/l)$ in fabricated metal product, $5.93{\mu}g/l(1.00{\sim}33.00{\mu}g/l)$ in dyestuff, $11.09{\mu}g/l(0.80{\sim}48.00{\mu}g/l)$ in leather, $12.41{\mu}g/l(10.10{\sim}41.00{\mu}g/l)$ in other by the type of industry(p<0.001). 4. As the result of nasal specular examination, twenty four cases (8.4%) of nasal septal perforation among 287 total subjects was observed, and there were 17 (9.7%) cases in plating, 4 csaes (14.3%) in dressing and dyeing of leather. In the comparison of chromium concentration in blood and urine between the perforated group and non-perforated group, the perforated group showed a significantly higher value as $1.883{\pm}3.055{\mu}g/dl\;and\;0.793{\pm}0.815{\mu}g/dl$(P<0.001), $21.31{\pm}34.610{\mu}g/L\;and\;9.304{\pm}11.079{\mu}g/L$ (P<0.001). 5. The mean concentration of chromium in blood, urine and the mean level of AST, ALT, Hb and Hct in exposure group were higher than those of control group(p<0.001).

        Engine torque, specific fuel consumption and MBT spark advance of a domestic automotive engine fueled with methanal-gasoline blends or straight methanal were studied under steady state condition and compared to those obtained with gasoline. The effects of adding methanal to gasoline on engine performance were studied with or without any carburetor modification. At first, the engine was operated without any modification. Next, the diameters of metering orifices in carburetor were modified to give the same excess air factor regardless of fuel type under each fixed engine operating condition. Finally, the diameters of metering orifices in carburetor were modified to give the same excess air factor for 15% mixture of methanal in gasoline by volume as for gasoline with standard metering orifices in carburetor. The effects of adding methanal to gasoline on engine torque, specific energy consumption and MBT spark advance can be explained on the basis of change in stoichiometry caused by the addition of methanal to gasoline.

        기계공업에는 기적이 없다. 차근차근히 기초를 다지면서, 기술을 축적하고 꾸준히 노력하여야 하며, 금시발복으로 단기일 내에 성과를 거둘 것을 기대하여서는 안된다. 다만 거쳐야 할 단계를 얼마나 빨리 단축해서 통과하고, 선진국과의 격차를 좁혀 가느냐가 문제이다. 그러므로 우리의 처지로서는 현시점에서 잠시의 정체도 허용될 수 없다. 과학기술이 일진월요하는 요사이 1-2년의 정체는 과법 수십년의 정체에 해당되기 때문이다. 최근의 심각한 국내외적인 난궁에 대처하여 정책수립자, 기업인, 기술인 모두 원대한 안목과 사명감을 가지고 일정협력하여 추호도 좌고 우 면함이 없이 더욱 굳은 결의와 각오로서 이난국을 슬기롭게 타개하여 이 땅에 기계공업을 확립 하고 공업국가를 건설하는데 계속 박차를 가해야 할 것으로 생각한다.

        A Case of Propofol-Induced Oropharyngeal Angioedema and Bronchospasm

        Propofol (2,6-diisopropylphenol) is an ultrashort-acting sedative agent with sedative and amnestic effects that is used not only for anesthesia but also for sedation during minor outpatient procedures and endoscopic examinations. Rare cases of anaphylaxis following propofol administration have been reported in the medical literature. Documentation of anaphylaxis is often lacking because the cause and effect relationship is often hard to prove. Only a minority of patients get referred for allergy testing to confirm the offending drug. Here we report a 74-year-old woman who had an anaphylactic reaction with severe oropharyngeal edema and bronchospasm for a few minutes after receiving propofol during endoscopic examination. An allergy skin test was positive for both propofol and soybean. Soybean in the intralipid is one component of propofol, and we concluded that this anaphylaxis was caused by soybean.       • 엔진 밸브 스프링의 서어징에 관한 연구

        The surging stresses of the valve spring of over head valve 4 cycle engine, which is made is Korea, were computed from theoretical analysis and these values were compared with the experimental results. For calculating surging stresses of test engine valve spring. Kato"s equation should be corrected by the corretion factor C which is equal to twice rocker arm level ratio. Good agreement was found to exist between the theoretical analysis and the experimental results within.+-.5 percent differences. The stress amplitudes of test valve spring at each harmonic order were determined by the experiment and by using corrected equation, The safety considerations of test valve spring were discussed.

        장·단기 비대칭성을 고려한 우리나라 통화정책의 파급효과

        본고는 우리나라 예금은행의 대출 및 예금금리에 대한 통화정책의 파급효과를 장기 및 단기 비대칭성을 고려할 수 있는 비대칭 ARDL(NARDL)모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 정책금리와 은행 금리와의 공적분 관계를 확인할 수 있었으며, 일반적으로 콜금리 변화 폭 보다 대출 및 예금금리의 변화폭이 컸다. 장기비대칭·단기선형 및 장·단기 비대칭 ARDL모형으로 추정한 경우, 금리가 인하되는 시기 보다는 인상되는 시기에 장기적으로 대출금리 및 예금금리에 주는 파급효과가 더욱 커 콜금리의 변동 방향에 따른 금융기관 금리의 비대칭적인 조정이 관측되었다. 한편, 콜금리 변화 시 대출금리의 변화 폭이 예금금리의 변화폭에 비해 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 조정속도의 경우, 콜금리의 변화시의 대출 및 예금금리의 조정속도를 보면 콜금리의 인상 시와 인하 시의 조정속도의 비대칭성을 발견할 수 없었다. 그러나 대출금리 및 예금금리의 조정속도를 비교하면 대출금리는 상당한 시간을 두고 조정되는 반면 예금금리는 이 보다는 상대적으로 신속하게 조정됨을 알 수 있다. The paper investigates the pass-through of the policy rate on the retail rates such as deposit and lending rates using the nonlinear ARDL model approach which could adequately capture the short and long run asymmetry adjustments. The empirical estimation results produced the cointegrating relationship between policy rates and retail rates. The changes in the retail rates were bigger than the changes in call rates. Overall, retail rates were more responsive to the call rates in the periods of interest rates hikes than interest rates cut which demonstrates the asymmetric adjustments of retail interest rates to policy rates. When the degree of response of lending and deposit rates to the call rate changes are compared, changes in lending rates were greater than the changes in deposit rates when the policy rates were changed. No asymmetric adjustments were found in the speeds of adjustments both for deposit and lending rates in the both periods of tight and loss monetary policy regimes. When the speed of adjustments of deposit and lending rates were compared, however, deposit rates were quicker than lending rates in their adjustments following the changes in the monetary policy.
