풍력 및 태양에너지는 기존의 화력, 수력, 원자력 발전 등을 대신할 친환경적이고 공해가 없으며 양적으로도 무한한 대체 에너지원이다. 계절적인 기상변화 특성을 이용하여 풍력 발전 시스템과 태양광 발전 시스템을 상호 보완시킴으로써 안정적인 전력 공급과 에너지이용 효율의 향상을 꾀할 수 있는 풍력-태양광 복합발전 시스템에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 복합 발전 시스템을 효율적이고 안정적으로 운용하기 위하여 시스템의 각종 데이터들을 수집, 분석하고 파일로 저장하며 이를 인터넷을 이용하여 원격에서도 모니터링 할 수 있는 시스템을 구축한다. 여러 가지 교류와 직류의 전압, 전류들을 비슷한 풍속, 조도, 온도 등의 물리량을 측정하기 위하여 여러 형태의 변환기를 사용하였고 신호 조절 회로를 구성하였다. 데이터 수집 보드(DAQ)를 이용하여 컴퓨터로 데이터들을 읽어 들였으며, 시스템 운용을 위한 서버 프로그램과 이를 원격지에서 실시간 모니터링 및 저장된 데이터들을 다운로드 할 수 있는 클라이언트 프로그램을 작성하였다. 측정된 데이터를 시간, 기상 등의 여러 조건과 연관하여 분석하였다.

The Photovoltaic(PV) generation system is a promising source of energy for the future. Since the need for renewable energy has been increased, the research of PV generation system has also been progressed. The main subject of this paper is about making the more useful real-time monitoring program to get and save the data from photovoltaic generation system of 30㎾ grid-connected. Therefore, it uses LabView for this real-time monitoring program.

Recently, many researchers have shown great interest in wind-photovoltaic hybrid generation system which promotes electric power supply safely and progress of energy usage efficiently with complementary cooperation of a wind generation system and photovoltaic generation system. To use this hybrid generation system stably and effectively, we established a system which can acquire, analyse and save data and monitored remotely using internet. We constructed the signal conditioning circuit and used many kinds of converters to measure physical quantities such as wind velocity, intensity of illumination and temperature as well as many kinds of voltage and current for AC and DC. we acquired data from computer with data acquisition board, developed server program and client program which can download data that is monitored and saved in realtime at remote place. We analysed the measured data in relation to many conditions such as time and weather conditions.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma frequently invades the lymph node, trachea, esophagus and perithyroid tissue. However, direct extension to posterior pharyngeal area is known to be rare. A 64-year-old male was referred to our clinic presenting as posterior pharyngeal mass during gastrofiberscopy. The neck CT scan showed soft tissue mass in retropharynx and lymph node in right level III with calcifications. We performed the total thy-roidectomy with selective(level II, III, IV) and anterior compartment neck dissection. In operative findings, the right thyroid mass were connected to the retropharynx through the posterior portion of inferior constrictor muscle. Histopathologic findings revealed the papillary thyroid carcinoma extended to retropharynx. We report a unique case with a literature review.

Thyroid follicular carcinoma, compose the 10∼25% of the thyroid carcinoma, has relatively good prognosis. However in case recurrence, the survival rate decreases up to 50%. After the thyroid lobectomy, thyroxine (T4) is usually prescribed to prevent recurrence in contralateral lobe. A-79-year-old man was underwent the right thyroid lobectomy at ten years ago, proven follicular adenoma in histopathology. He developed the right lower anterior neck mass 7 months ago, we performed right thyroid lobectomy and the final diagnosis was follicular adenocarcinoma. After the 3 weeks, left completion thyroidectomy and anterior compartment neck dissection was carried out. The probable causes of recurrence are remnant tissue in previous surgery, limited operation than lobectomy and tumor regrowth from isthmus. etc. When all's said and done, we think that the follicular adenoma turn over carcinoma in the previous lobectomy site. To the best of our knowledge, such case has not been reported earlier.

Extraparotid Warthin’s tumor(EPWT) is a rare disease entity; its incidence is about 8% of Warthin’s tumor (WT). The periparotid and upper cervical lymph nodes are the most predilection sites. The lymphoid tissue of WT can act like a regional lymph node, and the necrosis and inflammation within the tumor are well known. In our cases, both 81-year-old man and 58-year-old man were visited our clinic, presented with upper lateral neck mass that had been present for the last few months. We operated the excisional biopsy in level ll of neck. The pathologic examination was proven to be EPWT. We report the unique two cases of extraparotid Warthin’s tumor with literature review.

The aim of this study was to investigate the amounts of glucosinolates (GSL) in kale at various development stages. Kale varieties ‘Manchoo Collard’ and ‘TBC’ were cultivated from 20 February 2012 to 3 July 2013 in the greenhouse at Chungnam National University. During the cultivation periods, samples were harvested at 35, 63, 91, 105, 119, and 133 days after sowing (DAS) and the amount of GSL quantified by HPLC. Ten types of GSL (progoitrin, sinigrin, glucoalyssin, gluconapin, glucoiberverin, 4-hydroxyglucobrassicin, glucobrassicin, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin, gluconasturtiin, and neoglucobrassicin) were observed in ‘TBC’, whereas nine types of GSL (the same as above, except glucoiberverin) were identified in ‘Manchoo Collard’. The amount of total GSL in ‘Manchoo Collard’ was comparatively higher at 133 DAS (mean 8.64 μ㏖·g<SUP>-1</SUP>) and lower at 35 DAS (1.16 μ㏖·g<SUP>-1</SUP> dry weight, DW) of cultivation. In the case of ‘TBC’, the amount of GSL was higher at 91 DAS (mean 13.41 μ㏖·g<SUP>-1</SUP>) and lower at 35 DAS (0.31 μ㏖·g<SUP>-1</SUP> dry weight, DW). Sinigrin was the most abundant GSL (57% of total GSL) in ‘Manchoo Collard’ at 133 DAS and was also highest (44%) in ‘TBC’ at 91 DAS. Together, progoitrin, sinigrin, glucobrassicin, and gluconasturtiin, the precursor of crambene, allylisothiocyanate, indol-3-cabinol, and phenethylisothiocyanate accounted for 94 and 78% of GSL in ‘Manchoo Collard’ and ‘TBC’, respectively. Our results demonstrate that the amounts of GSL, which have potential anti-carcinogenic activity, change during development in kale.
