스위스 볼 운동이 30대 만성요통 여성근로자의 체력, 기능적 움직임 및 허리장애지수에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of swiss ball lumbar stabilization exercise on the physical fitness, the functional performance, and on the waist disability index of the female office workers in their 30s who have chronic lower back pain. These females had continuous pains more than 3 months, VAS about 3-5cm, and were divided into swiss ball exercise group(n=12) and control group(n=12). This exercise was proceeded 60 minutes, 3 times a week during 8weeks and gradually improved RPE of trainees; RPE 7-9 at 1st – 4th week, RPE 10-12 at 5th -8th week. In accordance with the NASM guideline, this exercise was proceeded with slow speed; the 4 seconds of concentric contraction, 2 seconds of eccentric contraction, and 1 second of isometric contraction. The test data were analyzed by paired t-test and independent t-test and the alpha level of p〈0.5 was set for all tests of significance. As a conclusion of the aforesaid studies, swissball lumbar stabilization exercise has improved and positively influenced the increase of lumbar strength, balance, and functional performance of the female office workers and the decrease of the back pain. Hence, the regular and the continuous swiss ball lumbar stabilization are considered to be beneficial to alleviate the lower chronic back pain.
